Chapter Text
Evan Buckley walked up to the nurses station located in the middle of the Pediatric Oncology Ward looking uncertain of himself. He didn’t know if this was a good idea, or if it would actually work, but he had to try.
“Hey, excuse me. I was wondering if you might be able to help me with something.” Buck asked the nurse at the station politely.
The nurse turned around and Buck could see that she was a bit older, which gave him hope that she might be able to help him get some answers. He made note of her name “Rose” printed on her name tag.
“Sure, sweetie. Are you visiting a patient?” Rose asked with a smile.
“Uh no, but uh…my brother was a patient here back in ’93. He passed away when I was young but I was hoping there might still be a nurse or a doctor that knew him at that time that I could talk to? It’s hard for my parents to talk about, and I just want to know more about him….I know it’s complicated and I understand if you can’t….” Buck trailed off.
“It’s okay sweetie, I understand. I’ve been working on this floor since ‘90 and I happen to have a great memory. What’s your brother’s name?”
“Daniel. Daniel Buckley.”
Rose eyes widened as she looked at Buck.
“Evan?”
