Roy Kent loves Rosé
He loves it unironically but in complete secrecy, save for his Wednesday night yoga mum time. He’d first tried it when they’d run out of beer during the premiere of Lust Conquers All. Marjorie had poured him a glass and told him, rather sarcastically, “You can’t let a group of old women out drink you just because we don’t have any man liquor.”
He never looked back.
He brings the rosé now. Finds silly shaped bottles and things that say “rosé all day” to bring the ladies.
Nancy says to him one day, “We do actually like other drinks, Roy. It’s not really Rosé all day. I make a great Harvey Wallbanger.” She earns herself a famous Roy Kent growl for her efforts and talk of other beverages dies instantly. She pats his shoulder as she walks by while affectionately shaking her head and murmuring something that sounds suspiciously like silly footballer.
Roy did actually drink some with Keeley and Jamie after they finished their champagne while they celebrated their win over City together. They snuggled up together in Roy’s posh couch in his equally posh neighbourhood. Keeley, with her head on Jamie’s shoulder and Jamie, with his foot up on Roy’s good knee. The room was quiet as their evening wound down. Rosy cheeked and smiling as Keeley fought to keep her eyes open, head dipping a little too low on Jamie’s shoulder, jerking her awake. Jamie and Roy shared a look of fondness at her tiny, sleepy form. He felt at peace.
