Nicholas Nelson, Hi.
I’m outta time, you’re gonna beat me to it if I don’t just ask, so please, I've just got to say this. Ever since we became boyfriends, from day one I knew you were someone to grow old with.
You are all I ever wanted, you are my rock and my salvation. I love that we can be a couple of evil geniuses together because, every day I love you more and more. You always say there is something about those curls, I say, between me and you, the choice is simple, it was always you. Because Love will always find a way.
It was a cold January, definitely rugby sweater weather when you took my breath away, you said It's too cold out here for you. You consistently offering me your hoodies just to make sure you keep me warm, is just one of your many ways to say I love you. So can we please stop pretending, because this is our place and we make the rules. I will talk to you in poetry if I need to because I’m the writer and you’re the poem. When I am drunk and disorderly and have all my cards on the table and I don’t ever want to start over again, you let me show and tell my stories that you have heard a thousand and one times before, and you still laugh along regardless.
I owe a lifetime of gratitude to our meddling teachers, how they must have laughed and enjoyed their triumph at seating us together, but regardless of how we met, I know I want to be with you, for the rest of your life and I need you to know that I will always love you. And I will keep telling you until you believe me, because you’ve made a believer out of me.
You, Nicholas Luke Nelson are my own person, when both our fates collided, It was totally undeniable that I belong in your arms. There is simply no way back for me, no limits to my love for you. I even let you win sometimes when we play strip Mario kart and now I have to tell you that you are the love of my life. You started as my own personal teen heart throb Nick Nelson, and now through the moments of change you are the man of my dreams. The last seven years have not changed the love we deserve.
I bet you’re thinking, why now? What's changed, well, nothing has changed. You and me got a whole lot of history, and I am still crazy for you. Our love is one for the record books and soon I’m hoping it will be just us, because my life is way better because I met you.
I, Charlie Spring, I would give you the world if you asked me to, allow me to tell you I am brave because of you. You speak my language and I truly believe we belong together in any universe, no matter what is going down, I will multiply by zero to keep you safe. In any country, the sun is brighter, the water is clearer and music sounds better with you. It's almost unnatural to think that once upon a meddling Christmas, I wasn’t feeling majorly festive and you were nearly my greatest regret and my biggest mistake, because you are the guardian of my galaxy, my pinky promise, and you somehow make my world spin in technicolour.
And so my darling, I know we have our sweet and spicy moments, but you helped me become whole again. You don’t care that a sick Charlie is a grumpy Charlie, you love me regardless. I already consider us a family, I don’t want to talk about future mother in law things any more, I want to have a mother in law, Sarah’s just amazing. We are two of a kind, it's like we're wired the same way, and until this moment I never knew myself. The comedy of errors that had been my life before I met you, I now live in half agony and half hope that none of it shall be repeated.
I would move mountains to be with you, because I know no matter what, that you teach my heart to stop and you give me the kiss of life. Your eyes look like coming home and I can hear your heartbeat in my dreams.
You tell me I’m your beautiful blue eyed dimpled gorgeous nerd of extreme hotness, but it’s a universal truth that I love your freckles and your strong rugby arms, I love the sandcastles we build and Nellie knocks down, I love watching how to build your dream home curled up on the sofa with you. Everyday I love you Nick, it is such a beautiful agony because you know for me it was always you. So for a day in our future I want to say Hi, I do. I'm so in deep, I never want to negotiate with love, I want to ask for your hand in marriage, I want to become Nick and Charlie forever.
I want to share the last bed in heaven with you, I want you by my side for each late submission I make at work, I never want to think I wish you were here, because you are, you are always there for me, you stand up for me when I need it and you let me grow when I can, you pick me up when I fall and you hug me like no one else.
Oh, I need this to be the best birthday in the whole entire world! Please be the birthday present I desire.
So, whats it gonna be? There is no conflict of interest. It's a slippery slope but I dare you to go on this ride with me because with this ring I ask you to be my everything forever because to the ends of the earth, you are my favourite place, you Nicholas Nelson, you are my home.
Will you make my life worth living, will you complete the puzzle that is my broken mind, will you live happily by my side today, tomorrow and forever? Because I believe I could be your best future yet.
