Y'all reckon a little bitty town like Stonebrook'd be quieter than a church mouse, don'tcha? Just a sleepy slice of the South where folks keep to themselves and trouble's 'bout as welcome as a skunk at a garden party. Well, it sure as hell used to be that way—'fore people started goin' missin', that is. These days, seems like every time you turn 'round, another soul's up and disappeared faster than greased lightnin'. Can't rightly blame the townsfolk for gettin' all antsy, nervousness spreadin' like kudzu. It's got the young'uns at the high school more rattled than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers. Bless their hearts, they oughta be fussin' over homecoming and homework, not wonderin' if they'll be the next to vanish into thin air. But let me tell ya, them kids weren't out lookin' for no trouble. It found them, plain as day, when one of their classmates up and died right there at school. Now they're mixed up in somethin' real nasty, and gettin' out ain't gonna be no cakewalk. Poor things are in way over their heads, and ain't none of 'em signed up for this kinda mess. Liberty High is a interesting one, that be for damn sure.
