Summary
“What d’ya need?” Atsumu switches into serious mode when Kenma’s breathing turns shallow. “Should I wake Tetsu?”
Kenma nods slightly, but it feels more like a shrug.
Atsumu doesn’t say anything else and moves to wake Kuroo. Kenma’s actually between him and Kuroo in their sleeping arrangements but Atsumu brushes past him regardless. He doesn’t comment on Kenma’s request or make fun of him as he shakes Kuroo awake and mutters a few words to him.
Kenma’s need for Kuroo was never something that needed to be examined by Sakusa or Atsumu before being discovered. It was made clear right from the get-go; their almost-concerning codependency was one of the first things Atsumu and Sakusa learned about the pair of them. Kuroo needs Kenma and Kenma needs Kuroo. It’s just a way of life.
