It has been a while since Craig suggested using fidget spinners to help Tweek calm down. At first, Tweek thought that using some spinning toy during emotional distress is kind of stupid and unhelpful, but as time went on, he eventually resorted to use it as a distraction when things start to feel or get overwhelming for him.
It went to a point where spinning fidget spinners became a sort of skill. Like, who else at South Park Elementary can spin four fidget spinners at once? It's none other than the jittery fourth grader who looks like he'd be chased with a hairbrush at any second. It's honestly impressive and also understandable once the reason's out.
Today, most of the elementary students are at the snowy playground, as usual of them to be during break time. Most students are entertaining themselves on the place, while the others are either chilling out (no pun intended) or spilling some grapevine tea. But then there's Tweek, sitting alone on the stairs near the entrance, playing with his little fidget spinners.
Eventually, Craig noticed his elementary boyfriend sitting by himself. He was supposed to play some games (he forgot what those games are supposed to be) with his gang against Stan's, but hey, seeing his partner do something impressive can be somewhat more entertaining than the up and coming bickering in-between those games he's supposed to participate in.
He eventually decided to ditch them, ignoring some fat kid's ugly whines for him to come back. "Wow, Tweek. You've really gotten used with the fidget spinners," Craig commented the moment he approached Tweek. He then sat himself down next to him.
"Gah!" Tweek flinched for a bit and then paused playing. "S-Sorry. You startled me," he sighed.
"Oh, it's fine. I was the one who randomly came here," Craig replied. "Still, you're doing so well with those spinners," he said, going back to the main topic.
Tweek flushed a little. "U-Uh, thanks. You did ngh! suggest it to me after all," he responded, still a little shaky (as typical of him).
"Does it help you calm down?" Craig asked. He just simply wants to know.
"Y-Yeah. I've been using it for a while now," Tweek replied, looking at the little fidgets at his hands with a small smile. "Sometimes the teacher confiscates it, but ngh! I kind of don't mind."
Craig was happy to hear that. "That's good to know." Then, he rested his head on Tweek's shoulder. Tweek couldn't really stay still since he is pretty jittery, but Craig's used to it at this point. It is nice that he's calm right now, which meant that he isn't shaking as much as he usually does.
"Oh wait, the teacher confiscates it?" he asked as realization kind of struck him late. Tweek simply nodded in response.
"Do you use anything else aside from fidget spinners to help you calm down?" Craig wondered.
"Ngh! I-I do, but I like using these the most," Tweek replied with bits of enthusiasm at his tone, then spun one of the spinners he's holding. "I don't know, i-it just seems special to me because it r-reminds me of you and uh- I guess that's it, yeah."
Craig can't help but let out a little giggle. "That's just you being a homosexual, honey," he jokingly remarked.
"You're literally a homosexual too!" Tweek rebutted with a slight blush. The both of them just giggled after that.
Tweek began playing with the fidget spinners again, making them spin one by one. Currently, he's holding four (two on each hand) spinners and it's surprisingly holding on with stable balance on his slightly jittery fingertips. One mental note for Craig though: He should probably get Tweek a pair of gloves. No, not probably. Definitely.
Craig couldn't help but be amazed at what his boyfriend is doing. "You gotta teach me how to spin multiple of those at once," he expressed with utmost amusement despite his monotonous voice, pointing at two of the spinners at Tweek's hand.
"I-I'm not good with explaining, but I'll try!" Tweek noted. The two of them then sat in comfortable silence, with mostly Craig just admiring Tweek calm himself down on an entertaining level. The kids on the playground are kind of loud, but that's kids being kids for ya.
"By the way, I recently got a ngh! new lego set. Wanna build it together after school?" Tweek suggested as he broke the silence between them. "It's agh! space-themed too, it's right up your alley!"
Craig was sure his eyes sparkled with stars the moment he heard "space-themed" come out of his mouth. "Sure honey, I'd love to."
And while the two lovebirds are minding their silly little business, it's with all certainties that the two friend groups on the playground have treated their games with some elementary-level chaotic, bickering havoc.
