Niko leaned back against the brick wall as he scanned the area around. Even though they decided to go to the outside mall a day after New Year's, it was still packed with a bunch of people admiring the bright colorful lights they put up. Personally looking at super bright lights weren't exactly Niko's go to thing, he decided to take Charles there since he wants to show Charles more of Japan. The mall that they were going to was the one that Niko always used to go with his parents during holidays. It was near his hometown so it only made sense to also show Charles the new sight. Niko's breath made fog surround him due to the cold temperature at the morning. It was lightly snowing, but it wasn't bad enough to the point where they couldn't walk. He rubbed his red colored hands against each other to try to not freeze to death while he waited for the blonde. He reached into the right pocket of his pants to get his phone out. He grabbed his phone and started texting Charles to ask where he is.

Niko: Hey Char, are you near here yet? If you're not, please don't rush, stay safe.
Char♡: NIKI (〃ﾟ3ﾟ〃)!!! Shidou is driving me over there soon >. ਊ <)♡!!!" Charles exclaimed.
Before Niko could react, a certain blonde boy snuck up behind him and jumped on his back
Niko let out a load groan as he felt like his back broke. Is this how Aiku felt whenever his ex girlfriends found out that he cheated on them so they would start hitting his back?
"Hey Char..." Niko muttered.
He pulled himself back up and wiped off the snow off of Charles' hair, and then his own jacket. He looked at the fanged boy grinning from ear to ear, making Niko forget what he was going to yell at the boy about. He looked at the boy's hand, wanting to hold it, but at the same time he was to embarrassed to ask. Niko doesn't know how he did it, but he managed to ask the boy out a few days ago. This was their first date together so Niko didn't want to mess up. Everything would go fine if he just did the right things like in the movies he studied the day before, but in reality he's just a dumb teenager I love with no experience in relationships. At least him and Charles were on the same boat on that part. He just admired Charles quietly while the boy was fixing his scarf. He was really beautiful, he shinned compared to the people around him walking, maybe even brighter than the nights across from them. Charles looked over Niko's shoulder to see the area where people were playing with the snow.
"Niki!! Wanna build a snowman over there? ^^" Charles asked.
"Sure." Niko replied.
"Ok then! Let's go ahead (≧▽≦)!" Charles said while playfully skipping over to the area.
Before Niko could react, he felt Charles hand's grab his and dragged him to follow him. He felt his face turn red as he realized that he was holding hands with Charles, but he reclaimed his composure and took a deep breath to calm down. He followed behind him until they eventually found a open spot in the area. Charles immediately jumped and landed in the snow piles, causing some snow to hit Niko's face, ouch... Niko sits next to Charles quietly while the blonde's making snow angels on top of the snow, kicking his legs in the air like he's watching something interesting. Charles rolled over and grabbed a piece of snow to roll it up in a ball. In a blink of an eye, the snow ball hits Niko's face and he chuckles. Niko wipes off the snow that's covering his mouth and grabs a handful of snow to throw it back at Charles.
"I'm so getting revenge on you!" Niko shouted pretending to be angry in his tone, but the boy dodges it and sticks out his tongue at him.
"Yeah right! I'm going to win this snowball fight ᕙ( : ˘ ∧ ˘ : )ᕗ!" Charles exclaimed proudly.

Eventually 30 minutes go by and the snow ball fight ended in a tie. They both relax as they just lay down on the snow. They both laugh at the fun they just had battling eachother while teasing the other. Niko stands back up and stretches his back from slouching for so long.
"Gosh my back hurts from slouching so much, how does Nagi even do it, chiropractors are definitely not going to help with how bad his posture is..."
Charles laughed as Niko complained, Charles had a big smile that was somehow enchanting to Niko, "NO STOP THINKING THESE THINGS NIKO' he thought to himself, but the weird feeling in his heart said otherwise.
He helped Charles get up from the ground and wiped off the snow that was on the boy's jacket. Charles turned his head away from Niko, making the young boy confused, but Charles just told him not to mind it. Does Charles also feel the same as Niko does right now? After he finished, he grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket and gave it to Charles.
"Here, if you need to wipe your face again use this ok?" Niko said shyly.
Charles stood still for a second, which was a rare moment, but he took the handkerchief and stuffed it into his side bag.
"Hehe, thanks Niki (ㆁωㆁ)!" He said.
They both started walking around the mall area, checking out the different stores and seeing if there's anything interesting. After a while of exploring the stores, Niko was about to take Charles to see the lights , but he stopped when he heard a grumbling sound come from the blonde's stomach.
"Hungry?" Niko asked.
"Ah sorry (๑•﹏•), I just forgot to eat lunch today but-" before Charles could reply, Niko managed to gain up the courage to hold his hand.
"Let's go get some food, my treat ok?"

Charles cheeks became a light red as Niko and him were walking to get dinner at a nearby café while holding hands. He noticed that Niko's hands were actually colder than not holding his hand, but Charles didn't want to let go of the feeling, so he just ignored it while smirking at seeing Niko's bright red face. They both walked quietly until they arrived at the cafè. Charles got himself a sandwich and Niko got himself a chocolate croissant with 2 hot chocolates. When it was time to pay, Charles got out his wallet from his bag that Loki gave him a while ago since he kept loosing his stuff, but Niko just told Charles to put it back, Charles listened even though he felt a little guilty as Niko payed for them. They got a seat at the corner booth and waited for their food while Charles told Niko about what he experienced on his trip to go to the Blue Lock facility for the first time.
"...and then Loki took away my phone before I was able to beat the level! It doesn't help the fact that I was so close to finishing it to-" he got interrupted by the worker calling their order. Charles got up and got their food and placed it down on the table.
"Oh wow Niki, I didn't know you were a hot chocolate fan (￣ヘ￣;)." He said while placing the two mugs to Niko's side.
"Silly Char... I... I got one for you because I know you like sweet stuff." Niko muttered.
Charles felt a smile appear on his face as he heard that, he really was head over heels for this Japanese boy huh...
After they both finished eating, they left the shop while continuing the conversation earlier before they got interrupted. They walked a little bit slower than before, not wanting the other to leave their side, but sadly Charles had to go back early because of training. They both stopped when the light showcase started to begin. Charles looked at the performance in awe, he was glad he went here with Niko since this was a new sight to him compared to where he lived. Even though Charles was focused on the light show, he instinctively turned his head to the side to look at Niko, only to see the young boy admiring him. Charles felt his face turn red and spinned his head to face away from Niko in embarrassment, only making the boy laugh even more at the blonde.

When it was time for Charles to go, Niko walked him to where Loki's car was parked to make sure he didn't get hurt. He said his goodbyes to his lover while still having happiness in his heart from the amazing day. Charles turned around and gave him a quick teasing grin before giving Niko a peck on his cheek.
'Thanks for today hon! Hope we can talk again soon (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`)" Charles exclaimed.
Wait what did he say..? HON?? If Niko wasn't red from the kiss, he definitely was now. Before he could ask Charles about it, the blonde was already in the car that was leaving. Niko formed a small smile in happiness of today's successful experience.
' Yeah... I hope we can talk soon too Char.'
