- Mobei-Jun Can't Swim or can he?
“Da-wang, I think I am melting” Shang Qinghua wiped the sweat on his forehead with the back of his hand.
Mobei-Jun looked to the side where the little human was walking beside him. “No. You are not.”
“I mean….it's SO HOT!!” Shang Qinghua threw his hands up and shouted to the sky.
“It's you who insisted on coming.”
Mobei-Jun furrowed his brows. He lifted his right hand and flipped his index finger. A mist with ice flakes was formed.
“Arrrrrr…..” Shang Qinghua exclaimed a groan of pleasure when the cool mist bathed his whole body.
“Thanks, Da-wang. I really can't live without you!" Shang Qinghua beamed with a smile perfectly matched with the sunny weather.
Mobei-Jun huffed amusedly and continued to walk down to their destination.

It's the beginning of summer. It's rare the busy hamster didn't have any works from neither CQ Mountains Sect nor Mobei Clan while his King also had time to spare. Therefore, Shang Qinghua asked Mobei-Jun to go on a lakeside vacation with him.
Even though it's an impulsive act, Shang Qinghua still managed to provide the two of them with refreshing thin robes. The one Shang Qinghua wore was a short sleeve robe in an energetic orange color and the one he provided for Mobei-Jun was a cerulean blue robe. He don't think Mobei-Jun ever wore anything with short sleeves so it's a normal long sleeves robe but much thinner than his usual one.
He also helped Mobei-Jun to tie up his long black hair with a plain yellow ribbon. No other accessories because it's a casual vacation. Shang Qinghua hopes his Ice Demon King would be ok with the summer in Human Realm.
Soon, they arrived at the lakeside. It is a huge lake surrounded by mountains. There is grassland along the shore. With the clear blue sky as background, making it looks like a photo you will find in a traveling guide.
“Wooow, it's so beautiful.” Shang Qinghua exclaimed. “Annnd….”
He dropped his bulky backpack on the ground and rushed to the shore. He hurriedly flipped off his shoes and tipped his toes into the water.
“It's cool!! And perfect for swimming!!”
Shang Qinghua walked back to set up his picnic set for this little vacation. A large blanket enough for both of them to lie on. A bucket of fruits and bottle wine in which he will ask his King to offer some ice to chill them. There's also some snacks that he likes. Since he doesn't know what snack Mobei-Jun would like, he hoped the chilled fruit wine would do.
When everything was set, he put off his robe and stuck them in a bag. He's now only with his pants on. Moving in water with long pants on would be troublesome but he didn't write swimsuit into his novel.
It's what it's.
It's time to get into the water.
Shang Qinghua ran into the water with a childish laugh. He waded into a deeper area so that he could swim.
A while later, he turned around and shouted to the Demon who was still standing next to the blanket, looking completely out of place.
“Da-wang! Come here and get in! It's super refreshing! I promise!”
Mobei-Jun watched Shang Qinghua swim to where the water was over his height, leaving only his little head out on the water. He looked down to the comfortable robe that Shang Qinghua chose for him and took it off.
Shang Qinghua screamed and whistled in his head when he watched the shirtless Mobei-Jun walking towards him. The sunshine was sparkling on his male god like body. No doubt he is the god's favorite child. (And the god is Shang Qinghua himself. Thank you.)
Shang Qinghua was too focused on the blessing scene in front of him and didn't notice Mobei-Jun was already standing next to him. Yes, standing.
“What should I do in the water?” Mobei-Jun tilted his head down to look at the head of Shang Qinghua.
“Er….Wait!! WTF?! Why are you standing on the water?” Shang Qinghua startled and almost choked himself.
It's not a strange thing to walk on the water in a cultivation world. Many cultivators can adjust their qi to the foot which allows them to walk on the water. But sadly, Shang Qinghua is not one of them.
That's not the point.
Mobei-Jun wasn't using his qi or demonic power to float on top of the water. Instead, he formed an ice bridge as he walked. He was standing on a huge floating ice block.
“What are you doing? You should be in the water but not standing on top of it with an ice float.” Shang Qinghua amazed.
Mobei-Jun huffed and snapped his fingers. With a large cracking sound, the ice block crushed into tiny pieces. Without the support of the ice, Mobei-Jun dropped into the water.
Shang Qinghua giggled in surprise as a wave of chilling water pushed him away.
When he adjusted himself and turned back to Mobei-Jun, Shang Qinghua burst out a big laugh. Because without the ice, Mobei-Jun instantly sank beneath the surface of water.
Shang Qinghua grabbed Mobei-Jun’s arm and pulled his upper body out of the water.
“You can't swim?”
Mobei-Jun frowned, and a huge ice block formed below them and pushed them out of the water completely. Shang Qinghua held tight to his King with the sudden movement.
“It's not rational to go into the water in the Demon Realm.” Mobei-Jun said in his usual restrained voice.
“Ok, that's fair.” Shang Qinghua blinked while judging Mobei-Jun's excuse and accepted it.
It's fun to stand on floating ice above water. That's how to be a penguin. Shang Qinghua thought to himself. He carefully squatted at the edge of the ice and looked into the water to see if any fish would swim by.
“Da-wang, you know. Muscles are heavier than water. You sink because your body is all built with muscles.” He commented causally.
“And, you can float because you have none?” Mobei-Jun replied.
“No!! I have muscle!! It's only less than yours but I still have some!” Shang Qinghua pouted to Mobei-Jun’s unintentional insult. He moved so much that he slipped.
Mobei-Jun caught him and pulled him to his side when Shang Qinghua was about to fall into the water.
“........”
Shang Qinghua’s head was on Mobei-Jun's bare chest now. He physically confirmed Mobei-Jun did have a firm and buff chest and that's properly why his King sank earlier.
“Should…should we go back into the water? It's a bit too cold to stay on an ice float when you are all wet.”
Shang Qinghua said in a rush. In contrast to being cold, his face was flushed with bright red as if he's having a heat exhaustion. He pushed himself away from Mobei-Jun and jumped into the water.
After calming himself a bit, Shang Qinghua turned back and looked at Mobei-Jun.
“I can teach you to swim.”
“OK. You will be my teacher today then. Master Shang.” Mobei-Jun teased and walked down into the water.
Shang Qinghua chuckled on how MBJ addressed him and was excited that he could finally have one thing he's better than his King and didn't notice Mobei-Jun was floating on his own.
It's a fun and fulfilling vacation.

Bonus:
An hour later, Mobei-Jun can swim like an Olympic athlete and that's when Shang Qinghua knew his King lied to him. Or, did he?
