“Every morning, I wake up not knowing if the day would be a good one or a bad one- not knowing if one hit or dump would send me right back to not begin able to do the simplest of things, things we take for granted.
Beeping machines, hushed whispers, and the soft shuffle of nurses’ feet. For many, this might be a temporary stop on the road threw life, but for me, it’s the backdrop of what changed my life forever.
I was nine years old when I first heard the word ‘chronic’. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what it meant, only that it carried a weight that made my parents’ faces tighten with worry. The diagnosis was like storm cloud settling over our lives, casting long shadows and bringing with it a relentless downpour of medical jargon, treatments, and the gnawing uncertainty of what the future would hold.
Living with C,R,M,O is like walking a tightrope, balancing the pursuit of normalcy with the ever-present reality of my condition. It’s a journey marked by resilience, moments of despair, unexpected triumphs, and the unwavering support of those who walk this path with me.
This is the story of my life with C,R,M,O- a tale not just of sadness, but of finding hope and meaning in the midst of adversity.
