The year is 748, thirteen years after a group of advenurers failed to destroy the Devil Strahd, and now the Vistani have found something in Darkon which might interest him...
In which Alek Gwilym returns under mysterious circumstances, Strahd admits that, yeah, he is unquestionably attracted to the man (and finally experiences truly enjoyable sex), Ludmilla and Anastrasya are each other's wives, Volenta and Pidlwick II become the new castle guard, Strahd and Alek get a joint tarokka reading from Madam Eva, and, meanwhile, strange things are still brewing in Darkon...
