Work Text:
“Soobin-hyung, are you sure that this is a good idea?”
Three silhouettes loomed around a dining table littered with various objects - ranging from pretty crystals to dried herbs - huddled together, whispering to each other in low tones. The clock mounted on the wall read 3:04 (and judging by the pitch black colour blanketing the sky outside, it definitely wasn't in the morning.)
“What else am I supposed to do then?” The tallest of them asked, a pout evident in his voice.
“Taehyunnie, wasn't it you who found the spell for Soobin-hyung anyway? Besides, I've watched enough Supernatural to practically be considered a demon expert.” The brunette one huffed, adding in a twig of rosemary to the bowl in front of him with so much calmness that you'd think that he was making compound butter instead of trying to summon a demon. Maybe they ought to be more scared of him than that demon.
“A-Anyway! We can't just back out now!” Soobin whisper-shouted as if he wasn't the one who looked like he was one tiny noise away from going into cardiac arrest right then and there.
He grabbed the newly sharpened knife to his side with shaking hands before taking a deep breath and pressing it to his arm and dragging it across in a quick swiping motion. A few drops of scarlet fell into the bowl. The last step to complete the ritual.
Choi Soobin, 26, was what you'd call an ‘extreme introvert’. He's never had a lot of friends, instead choosing to maintain a small but close circle of friends all his life. And he would never go out of his way to talk to others unless absolutely necessary. Hell, he wouldn't even ask an employee at a store if they had a certain type of starch he needed for a random baking adventure if he couldn't find it and would order it online instead. So when his dearest sister announced that she was engaged and would be getting married later on in the year, and asked him if he had a date he'd be bringing along with him, he obviously replied with an enthusiastic yes, even though the last time he dated someone was a senior in university and has been desperately single ever since. It's not like he hadn't tried meeting new people - he'd been on at least half a dozen dates this year alone - but none of them seemed to click with him.
So what better way to find someone than summoning a demon and making them contractually obliged to date him till his sister's wedding was over and then peacefully ‘break up’ with each other a few months later?
And well, that brought him to where he is now, holding a paper towel to his bleeding arm as him and his two best friends, Choi Beomgyu and Kang Taehyun, were illuminated by all the candles Soobin had in his house. (It was to set the mood, according to Beomgyu.)
They stared at the bowl for a few minutes as the other ingredients soaked in the blood before a sudden gust of wind blew all the candles out. Darkness enveloped them and Soobin shrieked, immediately dropping to his knees. All the windows were closed though?
“What the actual hell!? What was that???” Doing all that and for it to not even work in the end? Soobin was offended. He just offered a part of his “pure and untainted” (in his own words) soul to a demon, only for it to not only reject him, but also give him a heart attack? He didn't even want its help anymore!
The three of them started cleaning up after themselves. They got ready to go to bed, the brunette carefully dressing the older's wound.
They squeezed against each other in the twin sized bed after Soobin insisted that he wouldn't be able to get a wink of sleep otherwise, giggling to themselves like little girls at a sleepover. It didn't last long, however, as Taehyun oh-so kindly reminded them that they all had work the next day.

Soobin had a long day at work.
Being an elementary school teacher wasn't an easy job, even though he dreamt about it since he was a little kid himself. Today he had to help fix a friendship between two kids after they had a small misunderstanding. And he had to do all that while running on 4 hours of sleep. He suddenly envied Beomgyu's job as an artist (even though that had it's own difficulties as well).
He opened the door to his house with a click, the keys in his hand jingling as he stuffed them back into his bag. Sighing, he threw his coat on the hanger by the door and began to take off his shoes, ready to take a well-deserved nap.
Just then, he heard a noise.
Call it a gut instinct or a skill he developed from working with troublesome kids for the past 2 years, but something truly felt off.
He grabbed the umbrella by his door - not the best weapon, but he had to make do - and quietly made his way to the living room.
“Oh, you're finally home.”
Soobin's head snapped to the kitchen, following the source of the voice.
In the middle of his kitchen stood a man. He was slightly shorter than Soobin, and had jet-black hair. His eyes were sharp, a piercing blue, accentuated even further by a beauty mark underneath his left eye. He wore a black suit, with accents of red throughout the entire outfit. The right shoulder of his suit had roses of red lace crawling across it. He topped of the outfit with silver jewellery. He looked like he came straight out of a high-end fashion magazine, making him stand out even more considering the casual setting he was in.
The two of them looked at eachother for a while, not saying a word, almost as if stuck in a trance.
“Hey, so-”
“I-I've already called the police!!” Soobin exclaimed, holding onto his umbrella tighter, truly trying his best to put on an intimidating expression.
“Oh, please, we both know that you're lying. And don't act like it wasn't you who called me here in the first place.” The person spoke up, his voice making each word feel like it was drawing Soobin closer and closer into a bottomless pit.
“C-Called you? I think you've gotten the wrong address.” Soobin was confused. He hadn’t touched his phone all day, lost in the whirlwind of teaching and his inner turmoil.. And even if he did, it's not like he would ever call someone over that wasn't Beomgyu or Taehyun.
The person sighed before snapping their fingers, all the lights in the apartment going out, and once again plunged Soobin into darkness. Then it hit him.
“Y-You're the demon I tried to summon!?” He asked in a panic. Yes, he was going into the spell half-expecting it to work, but coming face to face with the demon you summoned is a whole different story!!
The realization of having to face the consequences of his actions hit him. He summoned a demon and now he had to deal with it. He ran into his bedroom, locking the door behind him. Making quick work of his fingers, he dialed Beomgyu's number, praying to whatever divine creature would listen that he would pick up. And pick up quick .
“Soobin-hyu-”
“Beomgyuohmygoshpleasesavemetheresademoninmyapartment”
“H-Hyung?? Have you finally gone insane?”
“No, I'm so serious. It worked, Beomgyu, the ritual worked!!”
“Isn't that good?”
“No!? What if he kills me-” Before Soobin could continue, he had his phone snatched out of his hand, whipping his head to the side only to be met with Yeonjun's eyes.
“Sorry to interrupt, but your friend, ah, Soobin, is just over reacting~ He'll be alive as long as he's a good boy.” He spoke into the phone, a smile on his face as he started directly into Soobin's eyes. The demon hung up and threw Soobin's phone onto his bed.
Oh, he was really screwed now.
Yeonjun was swift in grabbing his wrists and pinning them above his head. “Look, either we do this peacefully, or I'll have to restrain you using magic.” He warned, looking at him with a slight pout.
“I-I can be peaceful, please don't do anything to me…”
“Why do you have such a bad opinion on me already??”
“Well, maybe because you're a literal demon?”
Yeonjun got visibly pissed off at that, tightening his hold on Soobin's wrists till it became almost bruising. He yelped at the action, it hurting way more than he expected.
“I'll be good, so let go already..!” Soobin begged in a whining tone.
Yeonjun complied. The taller felt his knees finally start to give out, slumping down against the door.
The demon sighs, amused by Soobin's reactions. He leans down to his eye-level and chuckles quietly.
“Hey there, Soobin. I'm Yeonjun, the demon you summoned. I may be a demon, but I swear there's no reason for me to hurt you right now,” He says in a soft tone, trying his best to calm Soobin down.
“...You promise?”
“I kinda don't do promises but…sure, as long as you behave.”
Soobin looked up to meet Yeonjun's eyes for a second, immediately averting his gaze as pink dusted his cheeks, the embarrassment of his actions catching up to him.
“...I'm sorry for acting so irrationally.” He apologised, his voice getting quieter with each word.
“It's alright. Let's get talking about business now, yeah?” The demon suggested. “What is it that was sooo important that you had to summon a demon for it?”
Soobin gulped. He expected the question. Of course he would get asked that, not doing so was like not expecting a waiter to ask you for your order at a restaurant. But that didn't stop him for feeling the embarrassment creeping up to him now.
“Could you…Could you, uh, be my date to my..sister's wedding?”
Yeonjun looked at him dumbfounded.
A solid 5 minutes of silence passed before he broke out into a laugh, clutching his stomach from how funny he thought this situation to be.
“Y-You're serious..!? What the actual hell?? That's some way of thinking you have!”
Soobin pouted at that, his shy demeanor soon getting replaced with annoyance. Was it really that bad!? Surely people have asked for worse!
Yeonjun calmed down eventually, wiping the tears from his laughter. "So, let's get down to business, shall we?" His voice was smooth, almost soothing, and it sent a shiver down Soobin's spine.
"What...what do you want in return?" Soobin stammered, trying to keep his voice steady. “Are you going to kiss me to seal the deal or something?”
Yeonjun laughed, pulling out a rolled parchment from thin air. “It's more normal than you think actually. This is the contract. You summoned me, and now we need to formalize our agreement.”
Soobin eyed the parchment warily. "What does it say?"
Yeonjun unrolled it with a flick of his wrist, the paper glowing faintly in the dim light. "It's quite simple, really. You needed a date for your sister's wedding, and I’ll be that date. In return, I get to stay in your world for a bit longer, enjoying some...human experiences."
Soobin tilted his head to the side, trying to make sense of it. "Human experiences?"
Yeonjun's eyes sparkled mischievously. "Yes, you know, the little things – eating fast food, getting blackout drunk, going on dates. It gets a bit dull in the underworld sometimes, you know? It's been so long since I've had a fun job."
Soobin hesitated, his eyes darting between Yeonjun and the contract. "And what happens after the wedding?"
"We part ways," Yeonjun said, his tone softening slightly. "Unless you decide otherwise, of course."
Soobin took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. "How do we sign it?"
Yeonjun reached into his jacket and pulled out a silver pen which clashed with his current aesthetic. "With a drop of your blood, of course~"
Soobin groaned at his words. More blood? This was pure greed at this point.
Yeonjun chuckled softly. "Just a small prick. Here, I'll do it."
Before Soobin could protest, Yeonjun held his hand with a gentleness unlike the bruising grip he had on his wrists before, pricking his finger with the pen. A single drop of blood fell onto the parchment, and the contract glowed brightly before rolling itself back up.
"See? That wasn't so bad," Yeonjun said, his smile widening. "Now, we're officially boyfriends."
Soobin glanced at his finger, then back at Yeonjun. "And you...you're really okay with this?"
Yeonjun's expression softened. “I am. And even if I wasn't, this is my job, so..”
“Are you sure you don't want my soul?” Soobin asked, a little hesitant, as Yeonjun magicked the contract away.
“You don't really take souls for something as small as this - Well, I don't at the very least.” Yeonjun explained. “Hell, the last time I had such a fun and long term contract on earth was all the way back in 1809.”
“You're that old??” Soobin asked, gasping a little when Yeonjun finished his sentence. He threw him a look as if he just said the most offensive thing ever to him.
“Well, they need someone who is competent and can do their job. Besides, I don't look that old do I?”
He had a point. Yeonjun barely looked older than Soobin.
“Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll need to change. As good as I look, I'm sick of this suit.” Yeonjun started before he snapped his fingers once again, his suit immediately getting transformed into something a little more casual. He wore a black crop top and low rise black jeans, pulling the outfit together with a cropped leather jacket of the same colour. The window at his chest revealed a tattoo on his collarbone, the thorny vines from it crawling all the way up to his neck, peeking out from under the leather choker around it. Soobin couldn't tear his eyes away from him.
The rest of the day went by without much chaos. Soobin did his chores as usual, the only difference being the person watching everything he did over his shoulder. Just as they (well, Soobin) decided to start prepping for dinner, the doorbell rang.
Soobin looked through the peephole to see two familiar faces. Beomgyu and Taehyun. He groaned, realizing that Beomgyu probably immediately called Taehyun right after he had his talk with him was cut short. He opened the door, and both of them looked at him with wide grins, matching mischievous flings in their eyes.
“Congratulations on getting a boyfriend~!!” They shouted in unison, making Soobin quickly usher them inside, shushing them.
Yeonjun stood there in the kitchen as the three of them walked in, looking at them with a blank stare.
Beomgyu let out a low whistle the moment he saw him. “Soobin-hyung, if you don't want him, I'll gladly take him~” He sang, earning a light punch to his side from Taehyun.
Yeonjun smirked at that before he teleported himself beside Soobin, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his head on his shoulder.
“Sorry, cutie, but I'm taken.”
Beomgyu let out a ‘awww’ and faked a pout, trying his best to look dejected.
“We brought beer by the way. To celebrate such a rare occasion.” Taehyun joked, holding up a carry bag.
“Ugh, you guys are being so annoying about this..!” Soobin groaned, pulling Yeonjun off of him. “The three of you can talk to each other, I'll be in the kitchen making dinner.”
“Oh, wow, playing into the housewife role already, huh~?” Yeonjun teased as Soobin walked to the kitchen, pretending like he didn't hear a thing.
The atmosphere turned cold as Soobin left, all three of them dropping their smiles. Yeonjun practically got interrogated for the next 15 minutes with the continuous chain of questions Beomgyu and Taehyun threw at him. Yeonjun even had to pull out the contract, the other two reading every line with full focus like their life depended on it.
“You guys are aware that I'm not taking his soul, right?” Yeonjun asked as he sighed. They were so overreacting.
“And? You'll still be with him for a few more months. Soobin may not show any suspicion or worry, but we definitely will.” Beomgyu replied, before Taehyun piped up, pointing to one of the lines on the contract and asking him what it meant exactly.
The three of them eventually grew a little less suspicious of each other, their initial tension giving way to laughter and togetherness. Soobin joined them, setting a hot pan of tteokbokki on the table in front of the couch. The spicy aroma filled the room, making everyone’s stomachs growl in anticipation. They cracked open the beers Beomgyu and Taehyun brought over, the crisp sound of the cans opening blending with their laughter. The atmosphere turned warm and inviting, they relaxed into the couch as they talked and talked the night away. Thank god tomorrow was a weekend.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun, in particular, grew closer immediately, their playful banter filling the room with a lively energy.
“Soobin, dear, your friends are so annoying!” Yeonjun whined, stretching his arms dramatically as he leaned back, making Taehyun giggle and Beomgyu let out a dramatic gasp.
“Well, I bet you don’t even have friends!” Beomgyu retorted, sticking his tongue out at Yeonjun, his eyes squeezed shut.
“I do have friends! I’m literally the life of the party down under!” Yeonjun declared, puffing out his chest. Beomgyu rolled his eyes, unimpressed. “I can prove it.”
With a snap of his fingers, a figure suddenly appeared in the room. He had wavy blonde hair and sharp features, moles littered everywhere—from the tip of his nose to the side of his neck. He was dressed casually, really, like he wasn’t expecting to be called suddenly. Because he seriously wasn’t expecting this. But that sure didn’t take away from his beauty. If you had to compare him to something, it would be a statue, each curve lovingly carved by precision. He was like Aphrodite’s son, standing there with an air of elegance.
The three of them stared at him in silence, eyes widened in shock.
“H-Hello…? Yeonjun-hyung, what the hell…?? Aren’t you supposed to be on a job?” Kai slowly spoke up, his voice laced with confusion as he took in the sight of the room. Empty cans of beer littered around the couch, dirty plates on the table. This definitely did not look like a job.
“Kai! You’re my friend, aren’t you?” Yeonjun asked suddenly, ignoring how perplexed Kai looked.
“Yes, but what is this all about?”
“Beomgyu won’t believe me!!” Yeonjun exclaimed, throwing an accusatory look at Beomgyu, who simply shrugged.
“Who is Beomgyu?? Hyung, please explain yourself.”
Taehyun spoke up instead of Yeonjun. “Hey, I’m Taehyun. This is Beomgyu, and this is Soobin,” he said, pointing to the other two. “Soobin is the one who summoned Yeonjun, by the way. His current job is to be a pretend boyfriend.”
Kai blinked, processing the information. “Pretend boyfriend? Well, that’s new even for you, hyung.” He gave a polite nod to the others. “Nice to meet you all.”
“Likewise,” Soobin muttered, still trying to wrap his head around the sudden appearance of yet another demon in his living room.
Kai took a seat, squeezing in beside Beomgyu as the couch sank slightly under his weight, his curiosity piqued. The cushions embraced him, adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the evening. “So, how’s this ‘pretend boyfriend’ thing going so far?”
Yeonjun smirked, nudging Soobin playfully with his elbow. “So far, it’s been quite entertaining.”
Soobin blushed, looking away as he combed his fingers through his hair nervously. “It’s been...interesting.”
Kai chuckled, a warm, inviting sound that made everyone feel a little more at ease. “Well, I’m here now. Although, I would really appreciate a warning next time, Yeonjun-hyung. Why do you always choose to abuse your powers over me and not your other friends?”
“Because you’re the nicest!” Yeonjun answered as he sent a bright smile to Kai.
The room filled with chatter as they continued their conversations, the initial awkwardness gradually melting away. The soft glow of the room’s lighting cast a warm hue over their faces, making the evening feel almost magical. The night carried on with stories, laughter, and the occasional bickering, but now with the addition of Kai, it felt like they were all part of something a little more special.
It was nearing 3 a.m. when Taehyun and Beomgyu eventually had to leave—much to Kai’s dismay—leaving Soobin alone with the two demons.
It didn't take long for Soobin to pass out on the couch, the alcohol having done a number on his system. Kai watched as Yeonjun looked at Soobin with a tender gaze. He slowly picked up the sleeping man, careful not to wake him, and made his way up to the bedroom. After gently laying him down on the bed and tucking him into his soft blanket, he returned to the living room, now alone with Kai.

Yeonjun and Kai found themselves on the roof, the cold wind blowing around them as they looked over the lights of the city. The cityscape stretched out before them, a twinkling sea of lights that contrasted with the quiet stillness of the night.
“So? How do you really feel about this?” Kai asked, breaking the comfortable silence. He leaned against the railing, his blonde hair tousled by the wind.
“It’s…It’s new, that’s for sure. But it’ll be fun, I get to spend a few months up here, I can do whatever I want basically.” Yeonjun started, his eyes reflecting the myriad lights below. “He’s a good kid, he just takes very extreme measures.”
“Yeonjun-hyung, you know that this is a job, right?” Kai spoke up, his voice a little shaky, as if he wasn’t sure he should be asking such a question.
Yeonjun seemed taken aback by the sudden question. “Of course, why’d you ask?”
“N-no reason, just a little reminder!” Kai said, brushing it off with a nervous chuckle. “You’re right, though, he is nice. And his friends seem pleasant too.”
“Yeah, I noticed the way you were looking at Beomgyu. He’s your exact type, yeah? A pretty boy with long hair~” Yeonjun teased, his smirk reappearing on his face. Kai let out a small whine of frustration at his words.
They continued talking to each other about this and that, the conversation flowing effortlessly as the first rays of sunshine painted the sky with a gradient of blues, pinks, and purples. The city below began to stir, the early signs of life adding to the serene beauty of the morning.
Kai eventually left too, giving Yeonjun a brief hug before disappearing. Yeonjun lingered on the roof for a moment longer, savoring the crisp morning air. He made his way back to Soobin’s apartment, pausing to gaze at his peaceful, sleeping face before deciding to take a small nap himself until the taller one woke up. He could get used to this.

The next few weeks went by with no real problems. Soobin went to work as usual, leaving Yeonjun to do as he wished. (Although most of that time alone would be spent binging some reality TV show.) And when Soobin came home, the two of them got into their comfortable routine. Yeonjun would ask him how his day went, sometimes throwing in a comment about how hard-working his wife was, and Soobin would recount everything that happened as the other listened with the same loving concentration he had every day. Then they’d have dinner together, watching whatever anime Soobin was into at the time, before heading to bed, Yeonjun sleeping on the couch.
Yeonjun blended into his friend group perfectly too, Beomgyu and Taehyun fully warming up to him. Kai joined them occasionally too. There was never a dull moment whenever the five of them were together.
There were a few moments that did stand out, though, like the time Soobin forgot to take his lunch box to work.
Soobin's classroom was a burst of color and energy, filled with the sounds of children laughing and the hum of excited chatter. The walls were adorned with bright paintings and drawings, each one telling a story of the little artists who had created them. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the lively room. It was almost lunchtime, and Soobin was in the middle of helping a group of children with their art projects, his gentle smile and calm demeanor putting the kids at ease.
As he finished assisting one child, the door to his classroom creaked open. Soobin looked up, expecting to see a colleague, but his eyes widened in surprise when he saw Yeonjun standing there, holding a lunchbox.
The kids all turned to look at the door too, bursting into conversation with each other over who this man was and what he wanted with their teacher.
“Soobie, you forgot your lunch box at home,” Yeonjun announced, stepping into the room. The children stared at him in wide-eyed silence, not used to seeing someone dressed so sleekly in shades of black and gray. (Honestly, he had so many colorful clothing options, yet chose to wear all black while going to a kindergarten? Soobin made a mental note to scold him about it later.)
“Teach, this person is scary,” a little boy beside him muttered, clutching the sleeve of Soobin's shirt.
“Scary? Aha ha, that's right~ I came here to terrorize your teacher~” Yeonjun said, his laughter filling the room as he walked closer to where Soobin was kneeling down.
A brave kid suddenly stepped in front of Soobin, striking a pose straight out of a children's superhero show. “D-Don't come any closer! I won't let you lay a finger on Mr. Soobin!” he proclaimed, his small chest puffed out with determination.
The other children watched with interest, some even cheering on their brave friend.
“Oho ho, is that so? Let's see how strong you are, little hero~” Yeonjun challenged, crouching to eye level with the boy and pressing a finger to his forehead. The child immediately grabbed Yeonjun's finger with both hands, straining with all his might to push it away. “Not so strong now, huh?”
“Don't say that..! He can still win…! I believe in him!!” a little girl shouted from the sidelines, prompting the others to join in with words of encouragement for their friend.
Yeonjun eventually relented, letting the boy push his finger back, and the entire class erupted into cheers.
“Oh no, you've defeated me, brave hero! You've stolen my princess from me once again!” Yeonjun declared dramatically, collapsing onto his back and pretending to be utterly defeated.
Soobin watched the scene unfold, a soft smile creeping onto his face as he observed Yeonjun entertaining the kids, playing along with their antics. His smile faltered slightly when Yeonjun called him his ‘princess,’ a blush spreading across his cheeks at the unexpected nickname.
He eventually went back to work-mode, calming the children down and restoring order to the room. The kids returned to their seats, still buzzing with excitement from their encounter with the ‘villain.’
“Thank you for bringing me my lunch,” Soobin said, taking the box from Yeonjun. “But next time, maybe dress a bit less...intimidating?”
Yeonjun chuckled, ruffling Soobin's hair. “Sure thing, princess. Anything for you.”
Soobin’s blush deepened, and he quickly turned back to his students, who were eagerly awaiting his next instructions. Yeonjun watched for a moment longer, a fond smile on his face, before heading out of the classroom, getting enthusiastic bye-byes from the students.
As Yeonjun left, he couldn't help but feel a warm glow in his chest. Despite being a demon on a job, moments like these made the human world feel oddly comforting. He decided he could get used to this—playing the villain in a classroom full of little heroes, and playing the part of someone who cared deeply for Soobin. Maybe, just maybe, this job was becoming more than just a job to him.
Yeonjun slept in Soobin's bed since then.

The next incident took place when Yeonjun had to eventually meet his parents.
Soobin had gone over one weekend, telling them that Yeonjun would be joining them later on. The house was a cozy, welcoming place, filled with the warmth of family memories. Photos of Soobin and his siblings lined the walls, and the smell of his mother's cooking wafted from the kitchen. He knew his parents weren't that strict on who he chooses to date, but he still got worried. What if they didn't like him? What if they thought he was a terrible influence?
He was sitting in the living room with both of his older siblings, looking over drafts of potential wedding cards. They were deciding on font to choose, at least 5 styles of ‘Nari and Seojoon’ spread out in front of them when the doorbell rang. Soobin immediately stood up to go answer it, but his mother beat him to it.
Soobin stood at the doorway of his parents' house, his heart pounding in his chest. He had spent the entire day worrying about this moment, wondering how his family would react to meeting Yeonjun.
He glanced nervously at the door, but his eyes widened as his ‘boyfriend' walked in. Yeonjun, who, to his surprise, was impeccably dressed in a fun, light blue suit, holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. His hair was slicked back and he had even gone as far as to take out his piercings. Yeonjun gave his mother a bright smile, bowing, his usual confidence unwavering, as he shook her hands gently.
“You're our Soobinie's boyfriend, right? Choi Yeonjun? Oh dear, he never told me his lover was such a handsome fellow!”
“Yes, ma’am,” Yeonjun said with a respectful nod, handing her a beautifully wrapped gift. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve heard so much about you and Mr. Choi.”
Eventually their father also came to greet him. He looked at Yeonjun for a minute in silence before he broke into a smile and welcomed Yeonjun in.
The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, the scent of home-cooked food wafting through the air. As they settled in the living room, Soobin’s parents couldn’t help but notice how well-mannered and respectful Yeonjun was.
“So, Yeonjun, what do you do?” Soobin’s father asked, clearly still a little skeptical.
Yeonjun smiled, leaning forward slightly. “I’m involved in a variety of ventures, dealing with clientele from all over the world. Currently, I’m helping a client with social networking and ensuring everything runs smoothly for him.” His answer was vague but sincere, enough to pacify any immediate concerns.
During dinner, Soobin noticed how Yeonjun effortlessly adapted to the environment, engaging in meaningful conversations and showing genuine interest in Soobin’s family. His initial fears started to dissipate as he saw how well Yeonjun fit in, managing to talk about politics with his father, football with his brother, home-care tips with his mother, and fashion design with his sister.
“This is really good, Mrs. Choi,” Yeonjun complimented as he tasted the homemade kimchi. “It’s been a while since I’ve had such authentic food.”
“Oh, thank you, Yeonjun. Do you cook as well?” Mrs. Choi asked with a curious smile.
“Well, Soobin is the one who usually cooks for us, but I try to be of help sometimes too.” Yeonjun replied with a chuckle, glancing fondly at Soobin.
“Ah, I see. It’s nice to know you’re taking care of each other,” she said warmly.
“Soobin tells me you’re quite the cook though,” Mrs. Choi mentioned, smiling warmly. “Do you have any favorite dishes?”
“Well, Soobin’s been teaching me a few things. I’ve gotten pretty good at making his favorite pasta.”
“Soobin, is he a good student?” Soobin's brother chimed in with a grin.
Soobin laughed, nodding. “He’s a quick learner, surprisingly. Although he does make a mess sometimes.”
“Hey, I’m trying!” Yeonjun protested playfully, earning laughs from around the table.
The dinner conversation meandered through various topics, from funny childhood stories to current events. Yeonjun seamlessly joined in, sharing amusing anecdotes and asking thoughtful questions. The family shared stories and laughs, and Soobin felt a wave of relief wash over him. Yeonjun was fitting in perfectly, charming his family with his wit and genuine interest.
And then his father pulled out a serious question.
“What are your intentions for our Soobin?” Mr. Choi asked. You could tell he was half-joking, not expecting a serious answer.
Yeonjun paused, his expression growing serious. “I intend to be there for him, to support him, and make him happy. He deserves that. He's always been really kind to me, even through a state of panic. I find his compassion for teaching the bright minds of tomorrow very admirable, and I'm glad that I can be there for him and help him in his journey of making every kid's experience in school an unforgettable one while also educating them with the same energy.”
The whole roomed stayed silent for a few moments.
“I truly do love him, Mr. Choi. I'm very grateful for the fact that I can have this conversation with you.” He finished, a soft smile on his face.
“Soobin, you’ve found a good one,” his mother said softly after the dinner as they were cleaning up in the kitchen, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “We’re so happy for you.”
“Where did you find such a guy, Soobin-ah?” Nari asked in a teasing tone. “Isn't he a little too good for you~?”
“Oh, stop it. He can be so annoying sometimes, you know? He sucks at folding clothes and leaves his clothes all over the room, and he's terrible at washing the dishes on his own too!” Soobin complained as Yeonjun let out a little sneeze all the way in the living room.
“You're smiling even though you're nagging. You really do love him lots, huh?” His sister said, this time fully genuine.
As the evening came to a close, Soobin’s parents seemed thoroughly impressed. Yeonjun's presence had not only alleviated Soobin’s worries but also showcased Yeonjun’s commitment to making things work. Their parents asked them to stay a little longer, maybe stay till tomorrow night, but unfortunately for Soobin, he had a really important meeting the next day.
On their way back, Soobin finally relaxed, looking at Yeonjun with a mix of relief and gratitude. “You were amazing tonight.”
Yeonjun smiled, putting one hand on Soobin's as the other stayed on the steering wheel. “I told you I’ve got this. We’re in this together, remember?”
“So? What's with the good boy act, hm?” Soobin eventually asked, a smile on his face. “Where did you even manage to get a car ?”
Yeonjun smirked as he pulled a shiny, black, rectangular piece of plastic from his pocket. A black card.
“Demons get pocket money too, you know?” He said before focusing his attention back onto the road, as if he didn't just refer to enough money to buy a whole car as pocket change.

A week after their dinner with Soobin's parents, the kindergarten was buzzing with excitement for the upcoming school play. Soobin had spent countless hours rehearsing with the kids, ensuring everything would go smoothly. The energy in the air was palpable as parents prepared to watch their little stars shine.
On the day of the performance, as parents filed into the small auditorium, Soobin noticed a familiar figure among them – Yeonjun, dressed in pastel colors that contrasted with his usual dark attire, carrying what seems to be a bouquet of vibrant flowers.
As the play progressed, Yeonjun sat in the back, his eyes fixated on Soobin, who was guiding the children from behind the scenes. The way Soobin's face lit up while interacting with the kids made Yeonjun’s heart flutter. God, was he adorable.
When the performance concluded, the auditorium erupted in applause. Yeonjun joined the crowd, clapping enthusiastically, his smile wide as he cheered for Soobin and the children.
After the show, parents mingled and congratulated the kids on a job well done. Meanwhile, Yeonjun approached Soobin, who was still buzzing with excitement. “You did great, Soobin! The kids were amazing too!” Yeonjun beamed, extending the bouquet toward him.
Soobin’s face lit up as he accepted the flowers. “You came after all! And you brought flowers?”
“Of course! I wouldn’t miss it,” Yeonjun replied. The bouquet, adorned with sunflowers, daisies, and little baby’s breaths, matched the sunshine Soobin radiated.
Just then, one of Soobin's coworkers, Hao, noticed the interaction and chimed in. “Is this your boyfriend, Soobin~?”
Soobin blushed at the sudden question but nodded, unable to suppress a smile. “Y-Yes...”
Hao’s face broke into a grin. “He’s supportive too! Lucky you! My boyfriend couldn’t make it today.” He glanced over his shoulder, gesturing toward Seongmin, another teacher at the school, who was pretending to pout in the background.
“Congratulations on snagging someone, Soobin! Now it leaves only Seongminnie to get himself someone, although that might be a bit difficult,” Hao teased, earning a playful, whiny ‘Hey!’ from Seongmin.
As Soobin laughed, his mind drifted for a moment. It was true, though: Hao had his boyfriend (Hanbin, if Soobin remembered right), Rei and Liz were married, and now Soobin had Yeonjun—even if it was just pretend.
Pretend. Yes, it was just pretend. The butterflies in Soobin's tummy whenever he woke up to see Yeonjun beside him were just pretend. The flush that crept up his cheeks whenever Yeonjun wrapped his arms around his waist while he was making breakfast was just pretend. His heart skipping a beat whenever Yeonjun called him pet names was just pretend. Yeonjun was just doing his job. This was just a contract.
Later that evening, back at Soobin’s apartment, they settled into their usual routine. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm, the glow of the TV casting soft shadows around the room.
“So, what did you think of the play?” Soobin asked, taking a bite of his dinner, still riding the high of the day’s events.
Yeonjun smiled, leaning back on the couch. “It was wonderful. The kids were adorable, and you were amazing with them. You really brought out the best in them.”
Soobin felt his cheeks heat up slightly at the compliment. “N-No, I didn’t do much, really…”
Yeonjun reached out, taking Soobin’s hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring. “Hey, directing is hard work, you know? Especially since you're working with kids.” His voice was soft, filled with sincerity. “And… looking at the play really made me think about the future.”
Soobin raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “The future?”
“Yeah,” Yeonjun continued, his gaze steady and earnest. “I mean, I was summoned here for your sister’s wedding. It’s a big deal, right? There’s a lot to consider.”
Soobin nodded, a warm flutter rising in his chest. “You’re right. They’ll probably start picking out venues and everything soon. And…it would mean a lot to me if you wanted to be part of it.”
Yeonjun chuckled softly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Of course! Besides, it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase our lovey-dovey feelings for each other, you know~? We can really solidify our relationship!”
Soobin blushed furiously at that, smacking Yeonjun playfully on the shoulder. “Oh, shut it!”
Yeonjun laughed. “But you love it~”
Soobin couldn’t help but smile, feeling a mix of embarrassment and joy. “Maybe I do.”
As they settled back into their dinner, the playful banter continued, each teasing remark wrapped in warmth and affection, further blurring the lines between pretend and reality.

The wedding preparations soon started.
The first step was picking out outfits. Selecting Seojoon's outfit was easy enough; he decided on a cool gray three-piece suit with a dark blue vest and matching tie. Now it was time for Soobin and Yeonjun to choose their own outfits.
They wandered through various shops, trying on different suits and accessories. Soobin opted for a bluish mint suit that brought out the soft undertones of his skin, while Yeonjun chose a soft pink suit that complemented his vibrant personality. They spent hours in front of mirrors, adjusting lapels, straightening ties, and fussing over minor details.
“We need something to complete the look,” Soobin said as they walked around a jewelry store, their eyes scanning the displays.
Yeonjun’s eyes lit up as he spotted a pair of matching lapel pins, intricately designed with flowers. “How about these?” he suggested, holding them up.
Soobin held one up, examining it closely. “They’re perfect,” he agreed, a soft smile playing on his lips. “It’s like the final piece of the puzzle.”
Next, they needed to pick a venue. They had visited at least four venues by now: a vineyard that was too rustic, a rooftop venue that was too chic, a mansion that seemed a little too haunted, and a ballroom that was a bit too formal.
Their feet were sore and their spirits a little dampened by the time they arrived at the last venue of the day—a beautiful garden with twinkling fairy lights and a charming gazebo. As the sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the scene, Nari gasped in delight the moment she stepped in.
“It’s perfect!” she exclaimed, running ahead to explore. Her soon-to-be husband followed her, smiling softly.
Soobin and Yeonjun followed at a more leisurely pace. “What do you think?” Soobin asked.
Yeonjun took in the sight, the soft glow of the lights reflecting in his eyes. “It’s magical. Reminds me of this one fairy's wedding I went to.”
Soobin looked at him, intrigued. “A fairy's wedding? Fairies exist?”
“If demons can exist, why can't fairies?” Yeonjun questioned. It made sense. If Soobin could believe that demons existed, why not fairies?
“And you've been invited to a fairy's wedding?”
“Hell yeah, Minhee owed me at least that much for all the things I did to set him up with Jungmo.”
They wandered through the garden, admiring the flowers and the elegant setup. Nari was already envisioning where everything would go, talking excitedly about where the guests would sit and where the dance floor should be. Seojoon listened intently, adding his suggestions here and there.
Yeonjun and Soobin found a quiet corner, sitting on a bench under the twinkling lights. “This place feels like a dream,” Soobin said softly, looking around.
Yeonjun nodded. “It’s beautiful. It’s like stepping into another world.”
In the end, the couple chose this as their venue. It was beautiful, not far from the city, and reasonably priced. It was perfect.
Next on the list was menu tasting.
They sat around a table laden with various dishes, from appetizers to main courses, and of course, cakes. Seojoon was in his element, tasting everything with an expert’s eye. He described each dish in detail, discussing flavors and textures with Nari, who nodded thoughtfully.
Yeonjun, on the other hand, was having a bit too much fun. “Try this one, Soobie~” he said, holding a forkful of cake out to him.
Soobin looked away, blushing, before opening his mouth and hesitantly letting Yeonjun feed him. “That's so good… What flavor is it?”
“Black forest!” Yeonjun replied before Soobin offered a bite from his own plate.
“Try it. It's butterscotch,” Soobin said, smiling softly at him.
They continued to taste different dishes, sharing bites and comparing notes. At one point, Yeonjun made a face after trying a particularly sour dish, causing Soobin to burst into laughter.
A small ‘ahem’ was heard in the background, and the two of them turned to look at the source of the noise.
“How are both of you more lovey-dovey than the people getting married, hm?” Nari asked, giggling slightly as Soobin's face turned even redder.
“Noona, I vote black forest for the cake flavor!” Yeonjun said, smiling brightly, unfazed in the slightest.
They continued their tasting, with Yeonjun making playful comments and Soobin trying to keep his composure. By the end of the session, they had chosen a diverse menu that included a variety of dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone.
The next task was finalizing the guest list and sending out invitations. They sat around Soobin’s living room, a pile of invitations in front of them.
Nari took charge, her organizational skills shining through. “We need to make sure we don’t forget anyone important,” she said, ticking off names on a list.
Soobin and Yeonjun helped address envelopes, their fingers brushing occasionally as they worked. “Do you think we should invite your demon friends?” Soobin asked, half-joking.
Yeonjun laughed. “As much as I’d love to, I don’t think they’d blend in well. But I can call Kai, though, if I'm allowed to.”
They worked late into the night, the pile of completed invitations slowly growing. It was a tedious task, but the shared effort made it enjoyable.
Finally, the rehearsal dinner was planned. It was a smaller, more intimate gathering, meant to give everyone a chance to relax before the big day.
Taehyun and Beomgyu were invited too, being close to family as they were the only close friends Soobin had in the last 8 years. The two of them helped set the table, arranging the dishes with care. “This looks amazing,” Taehyun said, eyeing the spread.
“Yeonjunnie chose the cake flavour” Nari added as Yeonjun smiled proudly.
Yeonjun found himself in the kitchen with Soobin’s mother, helping to prepare the meal. “You’re quite handy in the kitchen,” she remarked, impressed.
“I’ve had to learn a few tricks over the years,” Yeonjun replied, his usual cocky demeanor replaced with genuine humility.
As the evening progressed, the atmosphere grew even warmer. Nari and Seojoon shared stories of their relationship, making everyone laugh with tales of their adventures and misadventures. Soobin watched them with a smile, feeling a sense of peace settle over him.
After dinner, they moved to the living room, where Seojoon pulled out a guitar and started playing soft, soothing melodies - all of Nari's favourite songs. Yeonjun and Soobin sat together on the couch, their fingers entwined. Beomgyu and Taehyun were joking around, playfully arguing about which of them would catch the bouquet at the wedding.
As the evening drew to a close, Soobin and Yeonjun found a quiet moment alone. “I can’t believe it’s almost here,” Soobin said, looking up at the stars. They stood close together, the cool night air wrapping around them like a blanket.
Yeonjun wrapped an arm around him. “It’s going to be amazing! I'm sure Nari-noona is really grateful for you.”
Soobin leaned into him, feeling a warmth that went beyond the physical. “You've worked hard too, Yeonjun. I'm sure noona, and even Seojoon-hyung appreciates you as well.”
Yeonjun's gaze softened, and he gently cupped Soobin's face with one hand. “You're so pretty like this.”
Soobin's breath caught in his throat as Yeonjun leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to his temple. The gesture was filled with so much care and affection that it made Soobin's heart swell. He almost asked him what they were, what they meant to each other.
“I promise I’ll make sure tomorrow will be perfect. For you, for Nari, for Seojoon, for the rest of your loved ones.” Yeonjun whispered, his lips lingering against Soobin's skin.
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other’s arms, the world around them fading away. In that moment, under the twinkling lights and the starry sky, everything felt perfect.

It was the day of the wedding. Soobin woke up before his alarm even went off, full of nervousness and excitement. He laid in bed for a moment, staring at the ceiling, his mind racing with thoughts of the day ahead. Today was the day. Nari, his big sister, was getting married. He could hardly believe it. It’s completely normal to feel nervous, right? Especially considering his sister, who he has known all life, was getting married . Something he hadn't even thought about yet.
He got out of bed and padded down the hallway to the kitchen, where Yeonjun was up already, humming along to the music on TV as he prepared breakfast. The familiar smell of coffee and pancakes filled the air, grounding him.
“Soobin, you look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Yeonjun teased as he flipped a pancake with a grin, immediately turning around when he noticed Soobin's presence.
Soobin managed a weak smile. “Just nervous, I guess.”
“Don’t worry, babe. Everything’s going to be perfect.” Yeonjun said reassuringly, pointing to the cup of coffee on the table to signal him to have a drink.
As he sipped his coffee, Soobin felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him. Nari had always been one of his role models in life, whether they were fighting tooth and nail over the last piece of cake or whether he was asking her for advice. So today, he wanted to be there for her in every way possible. To make sure the day went just as she had in mind.
The family arrived at the venue, the stunning garden currently decorated in pastels and seasonal flowers. Soobin’s breath hitched when he saw Nari step out in her wedding dress, looking radiant and beautiful, the tulle and detailed lace made her look like she just walked out of a fairytale. He ended up spotting Beomgyu and Taehyun too, with Kai right behind him. He sure wondered whose plus one he was.
As his sister walked down the aisle, Soobin watched with a mixture of happiness and a hint of sadness, a lump in his throat. Memories of their childhood flashed in his mind, the times they spent together, and how she always took care of him. Now, she was starting a new chapter in her life.
When Nari and Seojoon exchanged vows, Soobin couldn’t help but feel even more emotional, tears welling up in his eyes. Their words were heartfelt and sincere, a testament to their love for each other. He felt someone hold onto his hand and glanced sideways to see Yeonjun smiling at him gently.
The moon soon replaced the sun and the warmth of fairy lights illuminated the decorations of the wedding venue. The reception was a joyous affair, filled with laughter and dancing. Soobin gave a heartfelt speech, sharing memories of growing up with Nari and expressing his happiness for her and Seojoon. His voice trembled slightly, but his words were genuine and heartfelt.
During the first dance of the newly married couple, Soobin stood to the sidelines as he watched with a smile as Nari and Seojoon swayed to the music. The music soon turned into something more fun, however, upbeat guitar sounds replacing the soft piano before it.
Soobin saw Kai hesitantly asking Beomgyu for a dance, his face dusted with pink. The two of them made their way to the floor as Taehyun cheered them on. He should make a mental note to tease the both of them about it later.
Yeonjun suddenly pulled on Soobin's sleeve, snapping him out of his thoughts, and pointed to the dance floor. “Come on, let’s dance,” he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
“What? No way, I can't dance.” Soobin replied.
“I can teach you. Come on, it'll be cute!” Yeonjun retorted, looking at him with a pout.
Soobin thought about it for a good few minutes, before agreeing to Yeonjun's request.
Yeonjun gently took Soobin's hand and raised it to his lips, pressing a kiss to it.
“Thank you for the dance, princess~”
Soobin immediately turned red at that, considering taking back his answer, but decided to let it go. He allowed himself to get pulled onto the dance floor.
The music softened, transitioning back into a slow, gentle melody. The crowd on the dance floor began to thin as couples drifted off to the side, lost in their own worlds. Yeonjun looked at Soobin, a tender smile playing on his lips.
They moved to the center of the dance floor, the fairy lights above casting a warm, enchanting glow. Yeonjun's hand found its place on Soobin's waist, and Soobin rested his hand on Yeonjun's shoulder, their fingers interlacing.
As they began to sway to the music, Soobin felt a sense of calm wash over him as Yeonjun carefully led him. The stress of the day faded away, replaced by the simple joy of being in Yeonjun's arms. He looked up at the other, who was gazing back at him with an expression of pure adoration.
"You look beautiful tonight, Soobin." Yeonjun whispered, his voice barely audible over the music.
Soobin's cheeks flushed a soft pink. "You too," he replied, his voice just as soft.
They continued to dance, moving in perfect harmony. The world around them seemed to blur, leaving only the two of them in sharp focus. Soobin could feel the steady rhythm of Yeonjun's heartbeat against his chest, a soothing reminder of the bond they shared.
Yeonjun's thumb gently caressed the back of Soobin's hand, sending a shiver down his spine. "You know, I'm so glad I met you." Yeonjun murmured, his breath warm against Soobin's ear. “I never thought I'd get so attached to a human, especially considering that I'm on a job. But, I think the joy I feel whenever I wake up to see your face is something I don't think I can find a replacement for.”
Soobin's eyes widened and his breath hitched.
Yeonjun pulled Soobin closer, their bodies fitting together perfectly. “I think I like this. The simplicity of this way of life. I've never felt so…comforted by the thought of waking up tomorrow to do things like wave you goodbye as you leave for you, or fold warm laundry, or even listen to you talk about everything that happened at school that day.” He continued, his voice soft.
“I…I've also grown to appreciate life the way it is now. It just feels more…fun, I guess? It was kinda lonely being alone before. Even if Beomgyu and Taehyun come over every once in a life, it's different compared to the warmth of sleeping next to someone else, and the joy of eating with someone other than a livestream of a vtuber…” Soobin said, sighing softly at the end.
They swayed in silence for a few moments, the music wrapping around them like a comforting embrace. Soobin closed his eyes, resting his head against Yeonjun's shoulder. He felt safe, cherished, and deeply loved.
As the tempo of the song began to pick up, Soobin focused hard on trying to match Yeonjun's steps. His heart was racing, and his legs felt a little sore from how quick they were moving. But he didn't care much about that in the moment, his mind now fixated on the smile on Yeonjun's face.
The song finally ended as Yeonjun dipped him, causing Soobin to panic a little and hold onto his shoulder harder.
The music faded into the next song, but they continued to hold each other, unwilling to let go of the moment. In Yeonjun's arms, Soobin felt like he was exactly where he was meant to be.
They gazed into each other's eyes, the adrenaline from the dance making it feel like it lasted an eternity before they both leaned forward, lips meeting in a soft kiss. Soobin swore he heard a few gasps in the background, but he couldn't be bothered in the moment. The world around them faded away, leaving only the warmth of Yeonjun's lips against his own.
When they finally pulled away, Yeonjun’s hand slipped down to hold Soobin’s, intertwining their fingers.
“Let’s take a walk,” Yeonjun suggested softly, his eyes twinkling in the fairy lights.
Soobin nodded, and they quietly slipped away from the crowd, finding a secluded corner of the garden. The night air was cool and refreshing, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves. They walked in comfortable silence, just enjoying each other’s presence.
Yeonjun stopped under a large, blooming tree, its branches creating a romantic canopy above them. They turned to look at eachother, not knowing what to say.
“What…What are we..?” Soobin asked, nervously looking away before he realized that he sounded like a high schooler. “I mean like, we kissed so…so like…” He trailed off, his cheeks burning as he struggled to find the right words. His hands fidgeted with the hem of Yeonjun's sleeves.
“Well, there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you,” Yeonjun began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “Being here, with you, has made me realize how much I cherish you. I never expected to find someone who makes me feel so alive, so happy. I think I'm in love with you, Soobin.”
Soobin’s heart swelled at Yeonjun’s words, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes. “I-I love you too, Yeonjun..! More than I can put into words.”
They shared another kiss, this time slow and tender, savoring the moment. When they finally pulled apart, they rested their foreheads together again, breathing in sync.
“Let’s make a promise,” Yeonjun said softly, his eyes never leaving Soobin’s. “Let’s promise to always be there for each other, no matter what. To support each other, to love each other, and to face everything together.”
Soobin giggled at that. “Stop it, it sounds like I'm the one getting married and not noona..” He stated, his voice still gentle. “I promise to always be there for you, to love you, and to face everything together.”
They sealed their promise with another kiss, a vow made in the quiet of the night, under the canopy of the blooming tree. One more kiss turned into four and five, each one accompanied by their soft giggles, as if the world only consisted of the two of them and this moment.
As they walked back to the reception, hand in hand, Soobin felt a sense of peace and contentment. The nervousness and excitement of the day had melted away, replaced by a deep, abiding love. He glanced at Yeonjun, who was smiling at him with that same tender look of adoration, and knew that whatever happened, they would face it together.
Back at the reception, the night continued with laughter, dancing, and celebration. But for Soobin and Yeonjun, the most important moment had already happened, in the quiet of the garden, where they had promised their hearts to each other.
The night wore on and the reception slowly winded down. As the last song played and the guests began to say their goodbyes, Soobin and Yeonjun shared one final dance, holding each other close, lost in their own world again.
It was a night of love, of promises, and of new beginnings - both for Soobin and Nari. And as they looked into each other’s eyes, Soobin knew that no matter what came next, they would face it together, hand in hand, heart to heart.
On the way back home, he began thinking about how absurd this whole situation was. If you told the him from a year ago that he summoned a demon to pretend to be his boyfriend, he might've believed you, yes, but if you told him that he would end up falling in love with the demon? He'd laugh in your face. But here he was, opening the door to his apartment, greeted by the sight of two coats on the hooks, two umbrellas by the door, and two voices that echoed through the previously lonely apartment.
But just then, it hit him.
“Hey, so like, do I need to give you more blood in order for you to stay with me?”
