It wasn't every day All Might got a call for a mission, especially not from the HPSC, after all, the Hero Commission and him have never really seen eye-to-eye, so imagine his surprise when he was asked to participate in a raid.
It had been on short notice, the HPSC wanted him to fly immediately to their headquarters in Yokohama. The hero was yet to be informed on the details of the raid, however, he did know who his teammates would be for the mission.
He would be going to the raid with the following heroes:
Pro Hero: Fiber Hero! Best Jeanist
Real Name: Tsunagu Hakamada
Quirk: Fiber Master
OCCUPATION/s:
1.) Professional hero.
Pro Hero: Erasure Hero! Eraserhead

2.) Teacher at UA High School.
Pro Hero: R-Rated Hero! Midnight

OCCUPATION/s:
1.) Professional hero.
2.) Teacher at UA High School.
Pro Hero: Wing Hero! Hawks
Real Name: Keigo Takami
Quirk: Fierce Wings
OCCUPATION/s:
1.) Professional hero.
The choices for who'd go on the mission seemed unusual, after all, he had never worked together with his new coworker, Eraserhead, prior to this.
Despite his doubts, All Might knew very well that the HPSC wouldn't try anything on him. The disappearance of the number one hero would cause civilians to panic and will even bring major backlash to hero society as a whole.
He quickly flew to Yokohama via helicopter, making sure they traveled with top speed.
They landed on the HPSC's helipad after an hour. All Might was immediately greeted by one of the association's supervisors.
"Welcome All Might, please follow me inside; the others are waiting." He led All Might towards a door that led to the inner part of the office.
Without another word said, they both arrived at a meeting room where the other raid members were.
"Yo, number one!" Hawks waved towards him.
"Hello young hawks!" All Might flashed him his signature smile.
After a few hellos here and there, one of the members from the HPSC started to discuss what they were about to do.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. I'm Tanaka, the one who'll be briefing you on this mission." Tanaka began. "We have gotten news of a new drug, one unlike any other, a drug that will majorly enhance a quirk without repercussions."
"Has it been confirmed that it exists?" Eraserhead had his suspicions, knowing all too well that something that powerful would have already caused a stir within society.
"Not exactly but it is highly likely for it to be real. We have to do this raid immediately to make sure that no one else gets their hands on it if it does exist. That's the reason why we called you all here on such short notice, even if the Hero Commission may not exactly see eye-to-eye with some of you." Pressing a button on the table, Tanaka turned around just as a hologram appeared behind him.
"So all we have to do is retrieve the drug?" Midnight stared at the projection of a vial behind Tanaka.
"Yes, and grab the research as to what it is and how to create it, not only that, but if workers or lab rats are present we want you to take them for either interrogation or for safety concerns." He pressed another button, the contents of the hologram changed into that of a building surrounded by greenery.
"This is the lab, located on the outskirts of Yokohama. The drones that surveyed it have not seen anyone going in nor anyone going out, so it's highly likely that they either have a secret passage or it's abandoned."
"Well then, let's not waste any time, let's go to the lab." Best Jeanist's eyes fixated on the hologram.
"We'll take you to a place a mile away from the lab, we don't want to alert anyone inside."
Dazai awoke to the sight of pure white, soft-looking walls. He laid on the ground, which had an extremely similar material to the walls, if not the same.
Something felt off, besides the fact that he was in unknown territory. He looked at his hands, they were small, well, smaller than what he was used to. Nothing else was wrong with his body, actually, if not for the fact he knew his body inside out, he doubted he'd even notice he had shrunk.
Dazai's chocolate-brown hair was also a bit longer, his bangs almost fully covering his eyes.
He wore a white patient gown, which was extremely thin and would break with just a tiny bit of force. Parts of his body were covered in thin bandages made out of delicate cotton, including his right eye.
The way his eye was covered was similar to how he used to cover it when he had been fifteen. However, Dazai knew that his body had reverted back to when he was ten instead. He doesn't know what could have caused this, it's almost as if the Gods wanted to damn him after he had just passed the entrance exam of the Armed Detective Agency.
He stopped focussing on his physical appearance and looked around the room more, noticing that the room was built in a way that the person inside would be unable to harm themselves. Dazai's clothing hung on his body loosely, too fragile to be able to strangle him if he tried to do so, and the fabric was too breathable to try asphyxiation. All in all, it was as if the environment was specifically made for him.
The only way out was a door about twenty feet up, obviously a ladder would be used to try and get out— or in, but the room contained none.
Beside the door was a large window, he couldn't see through it from the angle he was currently in, although it wouldn't be useful to those who were outside the room either if he went to an area that couldn't be seen from the window.
After taking a look at his surroundings Dazai started to wonder how he got here and how he was in his younger body.
He knew that one of the members of the Hunting Dogs was able to control not only her age but others' age with just a touch, of course it's not as if her ability would work on him unless they somehow found a way to bypass No Longer Human.
A theory Dazai always wanted to test is if abilities would work on him when he's near death. His ability might turn off if he's at death's door, allowing other abilities to be used on him, but he's clearly uninjured.
The only person he knew with a healing ability was Yosano-sensei but why would they turn him into a child and trap him inside this room? Not only that, but he'd remember if someone had drugged him or if someone had injured him to near death, and they'd both had to have used their abilities at the right time within a fraction of a second for him to be in this predicament.
CRASH
The sound of a wall breaking reverberated all throughout the building; the sound of debris falling down echoed all throughout the room.
Dazai perked up at the noise, trying to pinpoint where it was from, deciding it came somewhere from the left. He moved to a spot where he could see what was behind the window.
About twenty five or so minutes later, a few silhouettes could be seen from the glass, either they were his captors or intruders who broke in not so inconspicuously, three of the five left while two of them stayed.
The two figures went towards the door, trying to open it. It took them a good minute to finally open the door and when it did, Dazai saw two weirdly-dressed men.
"I AM HERE!" The bigger one screamed while doing a cringey pose.
Dazai stared at them— his gaze piercing, the two men began to look uncomfortable.
One of the men wore something akin to jeans, his outfit covered half of his face. What a weirdo. Dazai thought to himself.
The other man, the one who screamed and posed earlier, wore a skin tight suit with flashy colors. Ew, he's basically neon and glowing. Dazai was awfully judgemental of their outfits.
The bigger one, jumped down the door and into the room while the one who wore the jeans outfit used his odd clothing to land safely, it was somewhat like Akutagawa's ability but at least his former mentee never wore such a weird outfit.
"Who are you creeps?" Dazai saw no point in sugarcoating his words, why would he? It's not like he knew these people and he could care less if they were a threat, it just means he'd have to get rid of them if they were.
"Creeps-??? I'm sorry young boy but we are heroes and we're here to save you!" The neon-looking one looked at him slightly confused.
Dazai looked at the two like a deer in headlights, thinking that perhaps these two deluded themselves enough to play hero with their abilities.
It wasn't common but delusional ability users certainly do exist, someone who had an ability that they found out about later in life thought they were some kind of chosen one, such people died early deaths.
"You're kidding right? Heroes aren't real mister 'hero'." Anyone could tell that he was being sarcastic, Dazai didn't take them seriously at all, how could he? They were obviously sick in the head.
The two so-called heroes looked at him with pity, pity for what? Not believing their delusions?
"Young boy what is your name?" The bigger one kneeled down so he can look at Dazai eye-to-eye.
"Dazai, Dazai Osamu." He gave his name immediately, he didn't like being addressed as 'young boy'. Dazai may look young, but he was certainly far from it.
"Well young Dazai, I am All Might, Japan's number one hero!" All Might gave him a huge smile, as if it would comfort him. Sure you are, and I'm the president of Japan. Dazai had the urge to roll his eyes.
"And I'm Best Jeanist, Japan's number four hero." Best Jeanist introduced himself after All Might. There were five of them earlier, are the other three also delusional? Despite his thoughts, Dazai also considered the possibility that perhaps these people weren't delusional and maybe, just maybe, he was transported into a world filled with heroes.
"Remember All Might, we have to hurry, time is against us, who knows when enemies may appear." Best Jeanist reminded, and Dazai inwardly cringed, his words sounded like they were from the hero comic he and Chuuya once tried out.
"Young Dazai, I know you may not believe it as you were likely taken inside this lab at a young age but we're here to save you so you won't suffer anymore." All Might tried his best to convince Dazai that heroes were in fact real.
You know what? This situation was entirely in Dazai's favor, sure being treated like a kid sucked but they would definitely trust him more. If he could use their trust and make them believe that he was a mentally scarred child, he'd have an easier time pulling the strings that held them.
"Please hop on my back, we have to leave soon so we can further search the laboratory." All Might then squatted down so that Dazai could climb onto him.
When Dazai made contact with the hero, a blue light encased All Might's body as he suddenly became scrawny. Dazai quickly retracted his touch and All Might immediately returned to the form with giant muscles.
The other hero, Best Jeanist, looked at All Might in shock, it seemed like he didn't know that the number one hero actually looked like that without his 'ability'.
"Young Dazai.. is your quirk perhaps nullification? It's incredibly strong, not even Eraserhead could nullify my quirk in such a way." All Might asked in shock, seeing Dazai's ability as proof that the drug they were told about earlier was real.
Perhaps they call abilities 'quirks', if I truly am in another universe and these people aren't just buffoons then it is likely that quirks and abilities are different. Theories ran quickly through Dazai's head, and he immediately nodded to All Might's question without much thought.
"What an impressive quirk, your future could be limitless if you aspire to become a hero, boy." It seemed like Best Jeanist was trying to instill the thought of becoming a hero in his mind, they think his ability is useful, however unfortunately for them Dazai has no plans to become a 'hero'.
"I don't want to be a hero when I grow up." He fussed like a child, slightly pouting as he looked to the side, making it seem like he got a bit more comfortable with them, showing them that he could be 'childish', exactly like what they would expect.
"Well what do you want to be young Dazai?" All Might curiously asked. Dazai didn't know how to respond, should he mess with them, should he answer like a normal child?
"I.." He drew out, playing drumrolls inside his head. Dazai knew what he wanted to say, he didn't care if he'd come across as odd, he'd just craft a persona that fit what he'd say. Their reactions will tell him everything he needs to be able to tug on the ropes that binded them. "I want to be dead."
They reacted like he had expected them to, panic and worry flashing in their faces. If only he could take a picture, then he'd frame it and put it somewhere he'd always pass by. How fun.
"The door's locked, how do we get in?" Midnight tried opening the door to the Laboratory.
"It's simple, if we can't find a way in, we make a way in!" All Might smiled, winding up his right arm.
"Wait, you better n-" Eraserhead tried to stop what All Might was about to do but it was a bit too late for that.
"TEXAS SMASH!!!" All Might shouted, his fist came into contact with the building's walls, breaking it with a loud sound as debris kept falling down.
"It's almost like we weren't told not to alert anyone inside." Eraserhead deadpanned, and All Might sweat dropped as he looked to the side, embarrassed by his actions.
"It's all good, let's just hurry up, don't want anyone inside possibly escaping after all!" Hawks immediately flew into the hole All Might had created, exploring the area inside.
The other four heroes followed suit, entering the laboratory with caution.
They soon reached a hallway, they opened the first door they saw, which was conveniently unlocked.
After checking for traps, the four of them started searching around the room, it was a big place filled with equipment and stacks of papers, despite looking slightly abandoned, not a speck of dust could be seen, someone clearly had been here recently.
Midnight looked around one of the research tables when she saw that one of the papers had something interesting written on it.
⟨Project A was a success.
Its power surpassed anything the world has ever seen, it's extremely dangerous, we need Project T's power to be able to protect ourselves against it.
They're too unstable.⟩
"Guys, this seems important." She called out for the other four who went to her side almost immediately.
"It seems they're doing human experimentations, not that it's surprising, after all if that drug does exist they probably needed test subjects, nonetheless it is extremely cruel." Best Jeanist eyes narrowed. You couldn't see the bottom half of his face but it wasn't hard to tell he was frowning.
"Let's get moving, we still have other rooms to go through, just gather the papers up so we can carry them and then study them later on." Eraserhead started to gather a few stacks of papers and the others followed suit, hurrying up in order to finish the mission earlier.
"Where do we keep these? After all if someone attacks us in here the papers would be a handicap and could even be destroyed." Midnight asked, still picking up the papers.
"Oh, don't worry, I have a gadget for that!" Hawks then pulled out a tiny little cube from his pocket. It became bigger and made all the papers shrink to fit inside it before returning to its tiny self.
"That's pretty handy!" Midnight's eyes looked at the item in amazement.
"Yeah, all I need to do now is put it in my pocket!"
The five heroes went to the next room, which, surprisingly, was also unlocked.
"It's awfully convenient that the doors just seems to be unlocked." Eraserhead grew suspicious that there may be a trap waiting for them, it may not be this room nor the next, but it probably existed.
"Maybe it's just a few doors or most of them, but it won't hurt to be cautious.." Best Jeanist said.
"Hey number one! You've been awfully quiet after we entered the first room, what's up?" Hawks looked at All Might curiously.
All Might seemed to snap out of something and quickly shook his head."It's nothing much young Hawks! I just feel like something was off about the papers we read, I know that it's likely just paranoia but the papers felt like it was warning us of something."
"Don't worry number one! I'm sure we'll be able to handle anything that comes our way!" The winged hero said confidently.
Oh how wrong he'll soon be.
