Summary
The year is 9:42 Dragon when a Deep Roads entrance opens up beneath Val Royeaux.
Vivienne is busy running her campaign for the Sunburst Throne, but she hardly finds herself opposed to the opportunity she receives in return for lending her aid. After all, the Inquisitor’s words are worth their weight in gold these days, and he did promise her to personally attend the upcoming Election of the Divine for her sake.
However, her excitement dims considerably when she learns who else will accompany them in said expedition: the traitor to Ferelden’s Crown, Warden ‘Blackwall’, former Grand-Enchanter Fiona, and, most unfortunately, Warden-Commander Clarel, whose life Vivienne saved at Adamant out of entirely selfish reasons. She was hoping not to confront the reminder of her past again so soon, or ever.Or: Vivienne and Clarel have history. Thirty years of it. It takes two (three?) near-death experiences to admit that maybe all these unsaid truths and poorly kept lies and stubbornly buried feelings still mean something.
