Work Text:

The lunchtime buzz in Midtown High’s cafeteria was the usual mix of chatter and clinking trays. Peter and Ned were deep in conversation about the latest Star Wars Lego set Peter had been working on when a sudden loud clatter made them both jump.

MJ had just dropped her tray onto their table, causing a few fries to bounce off the edges. She slid into the seat across from them with her usual deadpan expression, completely unfazed by the commotion she’d caused. “Hey, guys,” MJ said, eyeing them with that knowing look that always made Peter feel like she was two steps ahead of everyone else.

Peter blinked, still recovering from the sudden jolt. “Uh, hey, MJ. What’s up?”

Ned leaned forward, more curious than startled. “Yeah, what’s going on?”

MJ didn’t waste any time. “So, I found your YouTube channel.”

Peter felt his heart skip a beat. He wasn’t sure how MJ would react to Bite & Binge, especially given the recent Avengers collaboration. “Oh, uh… you did?”

“Yeah, I did,” MJ said, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. “I have to say, seeing you eat with the Avengers was… something. But you know what would really take your channel to the next level?”

Ned’s eyes widened with excitement. “What? You have an idea?”

MJ leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table as she locked eyes with Peter. “Pepper Potts. You should do a Mukbang with her.”

Peter nearly choked on the sip of milk he’d just taken. “Pepper Potts? You mean, like, Tony Stark’s Pepper Potts?”

“Yep,” MJ said, her voice cool and matter-of-fact. “She’s basically one of the most powerful women in the world, runs Stark Industries, and is known for being ridiculously classy. She’d be a huge get for your channel.”

Peter’s mind raced. He hadn’t even considered reaching out to Pepper. The idea was incredible but also a little terrifying. “Wow, that would be… amazing, but I don’t know if I could—”

Before Peter could finish, MJ interrupted, her tone challenging but with a hint of playfulness. “What, you think you can’t handle it? You just had the Avengers on your channel, Peter. What’s Miss Potts compared to that?”

Peter was caught between the thrill of the idea and the sheer intimidation of it. “I mean, she’s Pepper Potts! She’s basically royalty in the business world. What if I screw it up?”

Ned, ever the supportive friend, piped up. “You won’t screw it up, man. But MJ’s right—Miss Potts would be incredible. How do we even get her to say yes, though?”

MJ leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms. “Easy. I’ll do it.”

Peter and Ned exchanged a glance, confusion written all over their faces. “Do what?” Peter asked.

MJ sighed, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “I’ll be the one to interview her. You guys do your eating thing, and I’ll handle the talking. That way, you don’t have to worry about screwing it up, and I get to meet Pepper Potts.”

Peter’s eyes widened. “You want to be in the video? But I thought you didn’t like being in the spotlight.”

MJ shrugged, her expression unreadable. “I don’t. But I also don’t like missing out on cool opportunities. Plus, I’ve always admired Miss Potts. Meeting her would be worth dealing with the public part.”

Peter could see the determination in MJ’s eyes. She wasn’t someone who did things lightly, so the fact that she was willing to do this meant a lot. “Are you sure? You don’t have to do it if you’re not comfortable.”

MJ gave him a half-smile. “I’m sure. Besides, someone needs to keep you guys from making fools of yourselves, and who better than me?”

Ned grinned. “This is going to be epic! With MJ on board, we’ll have the most professional Mukbang on YouTube.”

Peter nodded, still feeling a little nervous but also relieved. “Okay, MJ. Let’s do it. We’ll reach out to Miss Potts, and you’ll be our interviewer.”

MJ’s smile widened, just a fraction. “Good. I’ll start preparing some questions. And Peter, don’t freak out. It’s just Pepper Potts—no big deal.”

Peter chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, just Pepper Potts.”

As they finished their lunch, the three of them started planning how they would pull off the most ambitious Mukbang video yet. MJ’s cool-headed approach was exactly what Peter needed to calm his nerves, and as the conversation went on, he found himself more and more excited about the idea.

By the end of lunch, MJ was fully on board, and Peter knew that with her help, their Mukbang with Pepper Potts was going to be something special.

------------------------------
Pepper Potts walked briskly through the corridors of Avengers Tower, her heels clicking against the polished floors as she made her way to Tony’s lab. She was no stranger to the chaos that Tony often left in his wake, but recently, things had taken an unexpected turn, and she needed to talk to him about it.

As she entered the lab, she found Tony hunched over a holographic display, fiddling with some new piece of tech. The room was filled with the usual assortment of gadgets, prototypes, and blueprints, but today, Tony seemed unusually focused on whatever he was working on.

“Tony,” Pepper called out, making her presence known.

Tony glanced up, flashing her his trademark grin. “Hey, Pep. What brings you to my mad scientist lair? Need me to save the world again, or just here for my charming company?”

Pepper rolled her eyes but couldn’t help smiling. “Actually, I wanted to talk to you about your recent extracurricular activities.”

Tony raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. “Extracurricular? You’ll have to be more specific—I’ve got a lot of side gigs.”

Pepper folded her arms, a knowing look on her face. “I’m talking about your PR work with Peter. I have to admit, I’m impressed. The video with the Avengers was a huge hit. For once, you didn’t manage to turn a PR opportunity into a PR disaster.”

Tony leaned back, clearly pleased with himself. “What can I say? I’m a man of many talents. But seriously, Peter’s a good kid. He’s got that whole ‘innocent charm’ thing going for him. Plus, it’s fun messing with the internet trolls.”

Pepper walked closer, studying Tony’s expression. “Well, I think you’ve done a great job so far. I’m just surprised you didn’t try to steal the spotlight more than you did.”

Tony smirked. “What, and take the shine away from the next generation? I’m not that selfish, Pep.”

She gave him a skeptical look but let it slide. “Anyway, I wanted to let you know that you’ve actually managed to improve your public image a bit with all this. People are talking about you mentoring Peter, and for once, it’s all positive.”

Tony smirked, clearly pleased with the praise. “Well, since you brought it up, how would you feel about doing a Mukbang?”

Pepper blinked, caught off guard. “A Mukbang? With Peter?”

Tony nodded, leaning back against his workbench. “Yeah, with Peter and his friend MJ. She’s a sharp kid, no nonsense. They’re thinking of making it a little more formal—less about stuffing faces and more about a good conversation over some good food. I think it could be fun, and you’d be perfect for it.”

Pepper stared at him for a moment, processing the idea. “You want me to do a Mukbang? Tony, I’m not exactly the casual, eat-on-camera type.”

Tony shrugged. “That’s what makes it interesting. It’s a side of you the world doesn’t see—a side they should see. Plus, Peter’s channel is really taking off. You’d be helping him out and showing the world that Stark Industries isn’t all suits and press conferences.”

Pepper wasn’t entirely convinced. “I don’t know, Tony. I’m not sure how comfortable I am with the idea. I’m not a celebrity like you or the Avengers. I’m used to being behind the scenes, not in front of the camera.”

Tony stepped closer, his tone becoming more persuasive. “Look, Pep, I wouldn’t suggest it if I didn’t think you’d be great. You’re not just some businesswoman—you’re a role model. And Peter and MJ could really use your perspective. MJ’s not the type to throw softballs; she’ll keep the conversation engaging. You might even enjoy it.”

Pepper hesitated, considering his words. The idea of connecting with Peter and his world, of doing something different from her usual responsibilities, was tempting. And Tony was right—she did have a side that the world didn’t often see, one that was more than just business meetings and corporate decisions.

“MJ’s really that sharp?” Pepper asked, wanting to be sure.

Tony nodded. “Smart as a whip. She’s got that dry wit and a serious demeanour. She’ll keep it real, and she won’t let you off easy, which I think you’ll appreciate.”

Pepper thought it over for another moment before finally nodding. “All right, I’ll do it. But only because you’ve convinced me that this MJ will make it interesting. And Peter—he’s a good kid. I’d like to help him out.”

Tony grinned, clearly satisfied. “That’s the spirit, Pep. You’re going to crush it, and Peter’s channel will go through the roof.”

Pepper allowed herself a small smile, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. “Just promise me you’ll stay out of trouble while I’m on camera, okay?”

Tony raised his hands in mock surrender. “You’ve got my word—scout’s honour.”

With that, Pepper turned to leave the lab, feeling more confident about the upcoming Mukbang. As she walked away, she realized that stepping out of her comfort zone might just lead to something unexpectedly rewarding.

Episode 1 - Having lunch with CEO Pepper Potts: Inspiring Business Leader and Feminist Icon

The camera was rolling, capturing the elegant setup of gourmet dishes laid out before Pepper, Peter, and MJ. The interview was going surprisingly well. MJ, true to Tony’s description, was sharp and direct, guiding the conversation with a mix of curiosity and respect that had Pepper relaxed and engaged. Peter, still a little nervous but visibly excited, was doing his best to balance eating and talking, his usual energy shining through.

“So, Miss Potts,” MJ said, leaning forward slightly, “Stark Industries has been through a lot of changes since you took over as CEO. What’s been the most challenging part for you?”

Pepper smiled thoughtfully, pausing before answering. “I think the biggest challenge has been maintaining the balance between innovation and responsibility. We’re always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, but at the same time, we have to make sure we’re doing it in a way that’s ethical and sustainable. It’s a lot of pressure, but it’s also what makes the job rewarding.”

Peter, in the midst of chewing a particularly delicious piece of food, nodded eagerly. “That makes sense. You’re like, the ultimate boss.”

Pepper chuckled. “Well, I don’t know about that, but I do my best.”

Peter reached for another dish, this one a beautifully plated portion of something he didn’t quite recognize. He took a bite, his eyes lighting up as the flavours hit his taste buds. “Oh, wow. This is amazing!”

Without thinking, he turned slightly toward the camera. “Awe, Cameraman Ned, you gotta try this… uh, what is this?”

Pepper glanced at the dish and smiled. “That’s truffle risotto.”

“Yeah, this truffle risotto—it’s so good,” Peter said, passing the plate back toward Ned, who was operating the camera just offscreen. “Here, you have to try it.”

There was a brief moment of shuffling as Ned reached out from behind the camera, taking the plate with a mumbled, “Thanks, Pete.”

Peter, always eager to share, quickly turned his attention to the next person offscreen. “Mr. Happy, Sir, would you like to try some too?”

Before anyone could respond, Peter was already holding out another dish, this one filled with a rich, creamy pasta. A large hand reached in from off-camera—Happy Hogan’s—and took the plate silently.

Pepper, watching this unfold, couldn’t help but smile at Peter’s enthusiasm and generosity. It was one of the things that made him so endearing, even in such a high-stakes setting. MJ, for her part, kept her cool, though the corner of her mouth twitched with amusement.

“Is this how your Mukbangs usually go?” Pepper asked, a teasing note in her voice. “Sharing with the crew?”

Peter grinned, a little sheepishly. “Sometimes! I mean, it’s all about enjoying the food, right? And Ned is always here helping out, so it’s only fair he gets to taste the good stuff too.”

Pepper nodded, clearly charmed. “That’s a nice touch, Peter. I can see why your channel is doing so well—you make it feel like everyone’s part of the experience.”

MJ jumped in, steering the conversation back on track but keeping it light. “So, Miss Potts, since we’re talking about sharing, if you had to share a meal with any historical figure, who would it be?”

Pepper considered the question, clearly intrigued by it, while Peter shot MJ a grateful look for keeping things moving. The interview continued smoothly, the atmosphere warm and relaxed, with the occasional sound of Happy and Ned sampling the gourmet dishes offscreen, adding to the sense of camaraderie.

As the Mukbang progressed, it was clear that Pepper was more at ease, the conversation flowing naturally. Peter’s natural charm and MJ’s sharp questions made for a perfect combination, and even offscreen, the presence of Ned and Happy added a layer of authenticity that made the whole experience feel genuine and fun.

By the time they were wrapping up, Pepper was laughing at one of Peter’s stories, MJ was jotting down a final note, and the plates on the table were nearly empty—a testament to the success of both the food and the company.

Episode 2 - Inviting my friend to have lunch with his favourite Avenger

The anticipation in the comments section of Bite & Binge had been building for weeks. After the Mukbang with Pepper Potts and the subsequent popularity of the channel, fans had started asking for more. One request kept popping up: they wanted to meet Cameraman Ned, the mysterious voice behind the camera who had become an integral part of the channel’s charm.

Peter and Ned had resisted at first, enjoying the anonymity and the playful mystery surrounding Ned’s off-screen presence. But with the channel’s popularity soaring, and fans demanding more content, they finally decided it was time for Ned to make his debut—and they had just the right way to do it.

The video opened with Peter, sitting in front of the camera in their now-familiar setup, a table piled high with various dishes. He grinned widely, clearly excited about what was about to happen.

“Hey, everyone! Welcome back to Bite & Binge! We’ve got something super special lined up for you today. I know you’ve all been asking for it, and we’re finally making it happen. Let me introduce you to the man behind the camera, my best friend, and the guy who makes all of this possible… Cameraman Ned!”

There was a dramatic pause as Ned stepped into the frame for the first time, waving awkwardly at the camera. The smile on his face was a mix of nerves and excitement.

“Uh, hey, everyone!” Ned said, his voice a little higher than usual. “It’s me, the guy who’s usually behind the scenes. I’m kinda freaking out right now, but also super pumped to be here!”

Peter clapped Ned on the back, his grin only growing wider. “And that’s not all. Since this is Ned’s big debut, we thought we’d make it extra special by inviting his favourite Avenger of all time to join us. That’s right, folks—please welcome the one, the only…Captain America!”

The camera panned over to reveal Steve Rogers, Captain America himself, sitting at the table with a warm, friendly smile.

“Hi, everyone,” Steve said, giving a small wave. “Peter told me this was a big day for Ned, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to be here for it. I hear we’ve got quite the spread to try out.”

Ned’s eyes were wide with awe, his excitement palpable. “This is unreal. Captain America—Steve—thank you so much for being here. You’re literally my hero.”

Steve chuckled, clearly pleased. “The pleasure’s mine, Ned. I’m glad I could be here for your big debut. And I have to say, this food looks incredible.”

The table was a colourful mix of dishes from Ned’s Filipino heritage and classic American comfort food. There was everything from adobo and lumpia to burgers and apple pie.

As they began to dig in, the conversation flowed easily. Peter and Ned both watched as Steve tried a bite of lumpia, his eyes lighting up with approval.

“This is fantastic,” Steve said, savouring the flavour. “I’ve had a lot of great meals over the years, but this is something special. Thanks for introducing me to it, Ned.”

Ned beamed, his nerves quickly fading as he found his groove. “I’m glad you like it! My mom makes the best lumpia, but this is a close second. I figured we’d mix things up a bit—classic American and some of my favourite Filipino dishes. It’s all about sharing what we love, right?”

Steve nodded, clearly impressed. “Absolutely. It’s great to try something new, and the blend of cultures here is really something. That’s what makes this country so special—all the different influences coming together.”

The conversation flowed naturally as they moved from dish to dish, sharing stories and laughing together. Ned, who had been so nervous at the start, was now fully relaxed, joking with Peter and even asking Steve a few of the burning questions he’d always wanted to ask.

As they finished up, Peter leaned back in his chair, looking into the camera with a satisfied smile. “Well, that’s it for today’s Bite & Binge. I hope you all enjoyed meeting Ned and hanging out with Captain America as much as we did.”
Ned, now much more comfortable on camera, added, “Yeah, this was amazing. Thanks for having me, and thanks, Steve, for making my first time in front of the camera unforgettable.”

Steve smiled warmly, giving a nod to both of them. “Anytime, guys. This was a lot of fun. And Ned, you did great.”
As the video faded out, the trio was still chatting and laughing. It had been a memorable experience, one that fans would undoubtedly cherish—and it was just the one of the many adventures for Bite & Binge.

Episode 3 - Couple of nerds, nerd out over burgers featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner.

After the success of Ned’s debut and the incredible luncheon with Captain America, the requests for more collabs had flooded in. Peter and Ned had been brainstorming new ideas when Tony Stark casually invited them to a "lab lunch" at Avengers Tower. What they didn’t expect was that the guest list would include Bruce Banner.

The scene opened with Peter, Ned, Tony, and Bruce sitting around a table in one of Tony’s high-tech labs. The table was covered with a spread of gourmet burgers from a trendy New York burger joint Tony swore by. Various condiments and side dishes were scattered around, along with an assortment of drinks.

Peter adjusted the camera, making sure everything was in frame, before sliding into his seat next to Ned. “Hey, everyone! Welcome back to Bite & Binge! We’ve got something really special today—this isn’t just any burger feast. We’re here at Avengers Tower with not one, but two of the greatest minds in the world. Say hi to Dr. Tony Stark and Dr. Bruce Banner!”

Tony waved lazily at the camera, smirking. “What’s up, everyone? You’re about to see what happens when the minds behind some of the world’s greatest tech and science eat way too many burgers.”

Bruce, seated next to Tony, gave a modest smile and waved. “Hey, folks. This is a bit different from my usual lab work, but I’m happy to be here—especially if it involves burgers.”

Ned, clearly starstruck, could barely contain his excitement. “This is insane. We’re literally having burgers with Iron Man and the Hulk. How is this real life?”

Tony chuckled, reaching for a burger. “Well, it’s real, kid. And these burgers are worth the hype, I promise. But let’s not just talk about it—let’s dig in.”

They each grabbed a burger, the conversation quickly turning to the food. Tony took a bite, his face lighting up. “See? I told you. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of toppings, and the bun doesn’t get all soggy. That’s what I call engineering.”

Bruce laughed, shaking his head. “Leave it to you to talk about engineering while eating a burger.”

Peter, halfway through his first bite, nodded enthusiastically. “Tony’s right, though. This is amazing.”

Bruce looked thoughtful as he chewed. “Sometimes, it’s the simple things that really hit the spot, you know? A good burger, great company, and no stress—well, unless Tony’s about to start a new project mid-bite.”

Tony grinned, clearly enjoying the banter. “Don’t tempt me, Banner. You know I’ve always got a new idea cooking up here.”

Ned, finally easing into the conversation, leaned forward eagerly. “Okay, but real talk—what’s the coolest thing you guys have ever built? Like, between the two of you, there’s gotta be some epic stories.”

Bruce and Tony exchanged a look, and Tony gestured for Bruce to go first. “You go ahead, Banner. I’m curious what you’ll pick.”

Bruce thought for a moment before responding. “Well, I think the coolest thing would have to be the work I did with gamma radiation—before, you know, the incident. It was ground breaking at the time, and even though it didn’t turn out the way I planned, it paved the way for a lot of the research I do now. Plus, without it, I wouldn’t be… well, the Hulk.”

Ned nodded, clearly fascinated. “That’s so cool. And Tony, what about you?”

Tony leaned back in his chair, clearly revelling in the chance to show off. “Where do I even start? I mean, the Iron Man suits are pretty iconic, but I’d have to say the most fun project was probably the Arc Reactor. It wasn’t just about creating a new power source—it was about solving a problem that everyone said couldn’t be solved. And, you know, saving my life in the process.”

Peter, ever the science nerd, jumped in. “That’s what’s so awesome about you guys. You’ve both done things that people thought were impossible. It’s inspiring.”

Tony waved him off, though he was clearly pleased. “Flattery will get you everywhere, kid. But don’t sell yourself short—you’ve got some serious potential, too. And Ned, I hear you’re no slouch either.”

Ned blushed, clearly not expecting the compliment. “Thanks, Mr. Stark. I just, uh, try to keep up with Peter most of the time.”

Bruce smiled warmly. “That’s the best way to learn—by working with people who challenge you.”

They continued eating, the conversation naturally flowing from one tech and science topic to another.

Tony and Bruce discussed the latest advancements in renewable energy, with Peter chiming in about some of the smaller-scale projects he’d been working on with Tony’s guidance. Ned, despite feeling slightly out of his depth, eagerly soaked up every bit of information, throwing in a question or two whenever something piqued his interest.

As the meal went on, the conversation took a turn toward pop culture, with Peter bringing up a favourite topic among nerds: the potential to make some of the most iconic science fiction technologies a reality.

“You know,” Peter said, leaning forward, “I’ve always wondered if something like a real-life lightsabre could ever be possible. I mean, we’ve got laser technology now, but nothing like what you see in Star Wars.”

Tony smirked, clearly enjoying the topic. “Oh, trust me, kid. I’ve thought about it more than once. The biggest challenge is the containment field. You’re talking about plasma or some kind of superheated matter—getting it to stay in one place without just cutting through everything in its path? That’s a whole other level of engineering.”

Bruce nodded, considering the idea seriously. “And then there’s the power source. You’d need something incredibly compact but with a huge energy output. It would be like carrying around a miniature Arc Reactor.”

Ned, eyes wide with excitement, jumped in. “But what if you used something like a magnetic field to contain the plasma? Couldn’t that work, at least theoretically?”

Tony raised an eyebrow, impressed. “You’re thinking along the right lines, Leeds. The problem is controlling it precisely enough. One wrong move, and you’d either have a beam that fizzles out or one that slices through everything—including the user.”

Peter grinned, the possibilities sparking his imagination. “But if we could figure it out… man, it would be incredible. Just imagine—real lightsabres. It would change everything.”

Bruce chuckled. “It’s a fun idea, but we’d have to be careful. The last thing we need is for lightsabres to become as common as smartphones. Imagine the chaos.”

Tony nodded in agreement, though the gleam in his eyes suggested he wasn’t entirely against the idea of continuing the research. “True. But still, it’s worth thinking about. Who knows—maybe one day, one of us will crack it.”

They continued to delve deeper into the complexities, discussing the potential materials that could withstand such extreme conditions and how to ensure the safety of a weapon as powerful as a lightsabre. The conversation grew more animated as they bounced ideas off one another, each building on the last.

By the time they’d finished eating, they weren’t just four guys having burgers—they were a think tank of brilliant minds, dreaming up the future over a meal. It was the kind of deep, nerdy discussion that could only happen among friends who shared the same passion for pushing the boundaries of what was possible.

The video ended with the four of them laughing, still talking over the remnants of their meal. And when, a few months later, the world was introduced to the ground breaking StarkPhone, powered by a miniature Arc Reactor, only the true fans knew the real origin story behind its creation.

Episode 4 - Having lunch with a Princess! Featuring Princess Shuri

A few weeks after the Bite & Binge episode featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, Peter and Ned found themselves overwhelmed by the flood of messages and requests pouring into their channel. People were loving the mix of casual hangouts and deep scientific discussions, and the demand for more collabs was through the roof. However, one message stood out among the rest.

Peter was in the middle of scrolling through comments when he froze, his eyes widening. “Uh, Ned? You need to see this.”

Ned looked up from the editing software he was working on, curious. “What’s up?”

Peter turned his phone around, showing Ned the screen. The message was from Shuri, the Princess of Wakanda herself. It read:

@ShuriWakanda
“Just watched the Bite & Binge episode with Stark and Banner. Not bad, but you haven’t truly nerded out until you’ve done it in Wakanda. How about you and Ned fly over, and we’ll see if you can handle some real food? 😏 #ChallengeAccepted?”

Ned nearly dropped his laptop in shock. “No way. Is that… Shuri? Like, the Shuri?” Peter nodded, still processing the message. “Yeah, it is. And she wants us to go to Wakanda.” They stared at each other for a moment before bursting into excited chatter, both trying to comprehend the magnitude of the offer.

“We have to do this, Pete,” Ned said, his eyes wide with excitement. “I mean, it’s Wakanda! And Shuri! We’d get to try Wakandan food, see their tech, maybe even—”

“Meet the Black Panther,” Peter finished, a grin spreading across his face. “This is huge, Ned. We can’t pass it up.” They quickly replied to Shuri, accepting her challenge, and within days, everything was arranged. Tony helped secure a private jet, and before they knew it, Peter and Ned were on their way to Wakanda, their excitement building with every passing mile.

When they landed, they were greeted by Shuri herself, who was just as brilliant and confident as they had imagined. She gave them a quick tour of her lab, which was filled with advanced technology that made even Tony’s lab look modest by comparison.

“So,” Shuri began with a mischievous smile, “I hear you two like to mix science with your meals. I thought we’d see how well you handle some authentic Wakandan cuisine. I’ve picked out a few traditional dishes that I think will test your taste buds—and maybe even your courage.”

Peter and Ned exchanged a nervous glance but nodded eagerly. “We’re ready,” Peter said, though he wasn’t entirely sure if they were.

They soon found themselves seated at a beautifully set table in one of Wakanda’s elegant dining rooms, with Shuri sitting across from them. Plates of vibrant, aromatic foods were laid out in front of them, each dish looking more exotic than the last.

Shuri’s grin widened as she gestured to the first dish. “This is Chakalaka. It’s a spicy vegetable relish. Let’s see how you handle the heat.”

Peter and Ned each took a bite, their eyes widening as the heat hit their tongues. It was intense, but the flavours were incredible—rich, tangy, and layered with spices they couldn’t quite identify.

“Wow,” Ned said, fanning his mouth. “That’s hot, but it’s really good!”

Shuri chuckled, clearly enjoying their reactions. “Good to hear. Now, try this. It’s Bobotie—a spiced meat dish with an egg-based topping.”

They hesitated for only a moment before diving in. The savoury and slightly sweet flavours blended perfectly, and both boys found themselves pleasantly surprised by how much they enjoyed it.

“This is amazing,” Peter said, taking another bite. “I’ve never tasted anything like it.”

The meal continued, each dish more intriguing and challenging than the last. Shuri watched them with amusement as they squirmed and occasionally winced at the strong flavours, but they never backed down, determined to appreciate every bite.

By the end of the meal, Peter and Ned were both grinning, their plates nearly empty.

“I have to admit,” Ned said, leaning back in his chair, “I was a little scared at first, but everything was so good.”

Peter laughed, wiping his mouth with a napkin. “This was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Thanks for letting us come here, Shuri. We learned so much.”

Shuri smiled warmly. “The pleasure was mine. It’s not every day I get to share Wakandan cuisine with outsiders—especially ones who appreciate science as much as you two do.”

As it turned out Shuri had been recording their interaction from the moment they walked into her lab. She very graciously provided them with the recordings so they could splice it all together to make a cohesive video, including the tour which mainly focused on Peter and Neds reactions to preserve Wakandan secrets.

As they packed up their gear, ready to head back to the States, Peter and Ned couldn’t stop talking about the experience. They knew that this episode of Bite & Binge was going to be something truly special—an adventure they’d never forget, with the taste of Wakanda still lingering on their tongues.

Episode 5 - We got caught

The next Bite & Binge video started differently than usual. Instead of the standard intro music, it opened with a candid shot of Peter and Ned scrambling to adjust the camera angles in the small kitchen of Peter’s apartment. The plan was simple—just another casual Mukbang video with a fun twist.

Ned froze, holding a tripod mid-adjustment, while Peter looked up in surprise as Aunt May walked through the door, earlier than expected. She was still in her work clothes, looking tired but cheerful, until she noticed the makeshift studio in her kitchen.

“Peter? What’s going on here?” May’s voice echoed through the room, setting the tone for the light-hearted chaos that followed. The video cut to Peter and Tony sat side by side at the table, both wearing matching aprons that read, “Kiss the Cook—Even if It’s Burnt.” The aprons were a bright, embarrassing shade of pink, and Tony seemed to be regretting his life choices.

“Alright, guys,” Peter said, addressing the camera. “Today, we’re doing something a little different. We’ve got a special guest chef—well, sort of.”

Off-camera, Ned and May were chuckling, and the sound of pots clanging could be heard. May’s voice called out, “Coming right up, boys!”

The camera was positioned in such a way that May’s face was out of frame, but viewers could see her hands as she passed plate after plate of food to Tony and Peter. The dishes looked… interesting, to say the least.

Peter took the first plate, a steaming heap of something that might have been pasta, and gave Tony a sideways glance. “Uh, thanks, May!”

They both hesitated, clearly unsure how to proceed. Peter took a cautious bite, trying to hide his grimace, while Tony managed a polite nod as he chewed.

“Delicious,” Tony said with a straight face, but his eyes darted to Peter, who was subtly trying to hide a mouthful of food behind a napkin.

As more plates arrived, the challenge became increasingly apparent. The dishes were all edible, but just barely. With each new plate, Tony and Peter devised more elaborate ways to avoid actually eating the food. Tony pretended to drop his fork, sending it skittering across the floor, giving him an excuse to slip the food off his plate and into his napkin. Peter, meanwhile, distractedly offered Ned bites of food he “just had to try,” all while sneaking portions under the table.

The video continued with the two of them nodding and smiling at May’s off-camera encouragement, while the viewers got to see just how creative they could be in hiding the food.

By the end of the meal, Tony and Peter were both stifling laughter, their plates mysteriously empty, and May’s voice chimed in from off-screen. “See? I knew you’d like it. Maybe next time I’ll teach you boys how to cook.”

The video ended with Peter and Tony sharing a knowing look with the camera, their attempts at avoiding May’s cooking a hilarious secret between them and the audience.

Notes:

So I had to google a lot for this one, please let me know if the food representation for Ned and Shuri is incorrect, I'll happily correct it.
Also had to google Neds favourite Avenger, google says it’s Captain America so I ran with it.
Also, also I forgot I had a family function today so had to edit this on my phone which is a nightmare (╥﹏╥)
