It was a blood curse, apparently. Somewhere in Pat Kittisawadt’s ancestry, a lorded and entitled gentleman had pissed off the wrong witch with his unwanted advances, and so she cursed his balls to produce chameleon like offspring who would have myriad abilities or mutations after their 18th birthday, depending on their karma.
On the night before Chay's 18th birthday, Kim and Chay enjoy one of their regular sleepovers. Kim wishes that the world treats Chay kindly as an adult.
