“Are you kidding?”
Yuuji lifts his head from where he had been fixated on measuring the exact perfect combination of butter, popcorn, and m&ms. Junpei is watching him with an expression of mixed disbelief and disgust.
“What?”
“Did you just pour butter over candy?” Skepticism dripped from every word.
“There’s popcorn too!” Yuuji defends.
Junpei gags a little, shaking his head, but looking reluctantly amused. “That’s really not better.”
Yuuji rolls his eyes. “Okay, whatever, did you get drinks?” Junpei gestures with his full hands to show yeah, he did, how did you miss that. Yuuji huffs, grinning, and throws his hands up.
“Sorry! Do you want me to get you an extra one?” He asks. Junpei makes a face at the prospect of spending more money on overpriced theater snacks.
“I’ll just go without. I don’t really like snacking during movies anyways.” Junpei says, then takes an idle sip of his drink.
“Your loss.” Yuuji shrugs, picking up the popcorn and spinning on his heel towards the actual theater, popping a handful of popcorn and m&ms into his mouth in a practiced motion. Junpei gives him a look but passes his drink over as they start walking side by side.
Junpei eyes him with an expression of mild disgust and disbelief their whole to their seats, making Yuuji bite his cheek to keep from laughing at him more than once.
