Chapter 1: Pink Colored Name Tag[Prologue]

Chapter Text

Kim dokja was patiently taking his time swiping off the containers he had use to bake his cookies, he wasn't sure however how he got in this situation. Next thing he knew he was baking normally and efficiently, he joined  because each student was expected to join a club.

And now here he is.

He sighed while putting the last container on the marble counter when the door slided opened.

Kim dokja looked unfazed and gave a monotone looked to the person who slided the door open, more likely knowing who was coming before the door slide open.

"y-you!- huffs a-asshole!"

Kim Dokja gazed at Han Sooyoung, who was grasping the door and panting fiercely. He smirked.

Kim Dokja still did not respond and began scrubbing the filthy countertop. he almost burst out laughing at his best friend's plight, but he suppressed his laughter in order to mess her up even more.

"Hey! Don't ignore me!"

Ah. What a bummer.

"Are you sad because I'm ok now?!"

"What? You're crazy, what are you talking about?" Kim dokja gazed at Han Sooyoung, his voice monotone, but a faint smirk appeared.

"Why are you on the verge of death coming here anyway?" He shut the cabinets and wrapped the strawberry-flavored candy he had made earlier for fun.

"Those- those fucking assholes! They tricked me!"

"What?"

"Those!- you know the insect boy and the!-"

"Oh! You mean Lee Gilyoung and.. Shin Yoosung from the elementary section?-"

"YES! THOSE ASSHOLES!"

Kim dokja wanted to chuckle, but he had to hold it in, he knew why Han Sooyoung was behaving this way, but he needed to have fun.

"W-What did they do?" Kim dokja questioned, stuttering and attempting to suppress his laughs.

"So like!- I asked them if they saw you because they're with you almost all the time and that-"

Han Sooyoung halted.

"Lee Gilyoung?"

"Yeah! That little shit said you were on the rooftop, but clearly, you were not! And the other said that you were at the gazebo, which is again, a fucking lie! So I've been running back and forth and what do I find? You're just here all the time I was fucking running for my life!"

Han Sooyoung kicked a chair near the countertop and sighed in frustration.

"Wait." Han sooyoung paused, realization hitting her.

Kim Dokja burst out laughing, unable to hold it in.

"Pfft- hah!"

"How'd you know I was talking about lee Gilyoung?"

Kim Dokja was gasping for air, for laughing so hard, while Han Sooyoung grabbed the door, clearly irritated.

After the laughter and joking stopped, Han Sooyoung recalled why she needed Kim Dokja.

"Club room." Han Sooyoung blurted out, not realizing what she had just uttered.

"What?" Kim dokja asked, staring at her with a blank expression on his face.

Han Sooyoung, finally comprehending what she had said, lifted her hands and explained what she meant.

"No, I meant-- this is all your fault." Han Sooyoung sighed.

"I meant Sir Kyrgios needs us to come into the gaming club."

Kim Dokja came to a halt and dropped his bag, shocked.

"W-Why would he need us there?" He picked up the bag and took the keys to the baking room, slid open the door, and walked out, accompanied by Han Sooyoung.

"Don't know, but I heard it was for a project." Kim dokja fumbled the keys he was holding, unable to correctly lock the doors.

"Why the hell would we need another project when we already had one?" Kim dokja asked, unimpressed by the suggestion.

"I don't know, but he probably has a decent idea for this."

Kim Dokja finally locked the room, although shivering and fumbling with the thought of another baking project waiting for them.

"Yeah, ok."

"That is a terrible idea, sir Kyrgios." Kim Dokja retracted his earlier statement, admitting that it was not a good idea at all.

"Should I take that as a disrespect?"

"Why would you, sir, I mean... I called you sir and just suggested my thoughts?" Kim Dokja smirked menacingly at his baking teacher, or the teacher assigned to the baking club.

If you're going to be stubborn, I will be too.

Kim Dokja laughed mentally as he considered proving his teacher wrong.

"Is the idea of having a project to bake for the members of the gaming club members bad?"

"No, sir, but I'm afraid that-"

Kyrgios continued, his voice tight and dangerous, "No arguing, no complaining, my decision, my rules."

Kim Dokja clicked his tongue, but remained mute.

"We've given an opportunity to bake snacks for the members of this club for the upcoming tournament for them, and it's also for your seventh project. And yes, it's graded. they allowed you guys to pick whoever you want to bake to, but the condition is.. you don't know who they are, so you just have to guess based on their desk design and set up."

Kim Dokja rolled his eyes, and Han Sooyoung sighed.

"Since they have a different schedule than us, you guys will have to adjust and bake and prepare the snacks when they're not here. According to the organizers, to avoid any exploitations and spreading who's and who's gonna be participating, got it? Any questions?"

"Yes I do-"

"Great. now pick a desk."

Kim Dokja forced a smile, but underneath it all, he was furious. Han Sooyoung patted his back, comforting him and shooing away his frustration.

Kim Dokja was already eyeing a desk he was interested in while the other members were choosing one. He noticed that the design of the desk was simple, but a single book changed all of his thoughts.

Kim dokja really liked the book, and it appears that this person did as well.

He took up the book and opened it, there was a black little bookmark fastened to the half page. There is no additional explanation, Kim Dokja was going to choose this desk.

While Kim dokja's eyes sparkled, Kyrgios silently watched him approach the desk. Of course, he was familiar with all of the tournament's participants, as well as who belonged to whose desk his students chose.

Kyrgios clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.

"Okay everyone, times up. Please remember the desk you picked."

While Kyrgios was checking on everyone, he passed Kim Dokja and asked a question that caught him off surprise.

"Are you sure you want to choose that desk?" Kyrgios groaned as he remembered the guy who owned it.

"Err... yes?" Kim Dokja said honestly, unsure what his teacher was asking for.

"Well, good luck." Kyrgios walked away, leaving Kim dokja perplexed and perplexed.

"What."

The next day, Yoo Joonghyuk has no idea why a name is written on the side of his desk. evidently, everyone's desk has one. He has heard that it is for a baking club project.

When Yoo Joonghyuk looked at the name tag, he couldn't help but notice that the name inscribed was interesting.

"Kim dokja?" Yoo Joonghyuk places the book he left out yesterday in his bag.

"That's an interesting name."
