“Remus,” He croaked out finally, watching the red flickering in those fiery eyes. “You’re…how are you here?”
“You left me at the bottom of that lake taking a little nap,” The thumb of Remus’ hand that was wrapped around his throat lifted to skate over Sirius’ bottom lip. That heat was back in his stomach. “And then I woke up. Had to come check on you, didn’t I, princess? Can’t have Sirius Black puttering around this big old church all on his lonesome. Who knows what trouble he’d get up to. But, we both know that’s not the question rattling around that pretty head of yours, is it?” Remus’ voice lowered as he leaned closer, his nose nudging against Sirius’ and his forked tongue flickering over Sirius’ lower lip. The gasp felt like it was physically torn through the wall of his chest.
“I…” He couldn’t force the words out as he squirmed against the wall. He felt like he was about to combust on the spot.
“Ask it, sweetheart. Don’t be shy. Ask me, and you’ll get what you want.” Those sharp fangs caught his lower lip and there was a sting that told him they’d broken skin. He could feel the blood welling against the small cuts.
