My little sister always does things before me. She learned to walk before me. She learned to talk before me. She went from a tricycle to a big-girl bike in no time, and I still haven’t taken off my training wheels. Even though she’s a whole six years younger, it seems like she’s already way better than me at everything.
She’s way braver, too. She’ll do all sorts of things she’s not supposed to, like it’s no big deal. So, of course, it doesn’t surprise me one afternoon when I catch her doing something else against the rules. Something else I’ve been curious about, but too scared to try.
