Not really edited, forgive my mistakes.

Just felt like writing something silly.

Work Text:

Tim was on a mission.

It was one of his longest solo operations and he planned to keep it running for as long as possible.  If anyone found out what he knew and what he did with the information, it would be game over for him. He refused to let this mission end in failure, he invested too much time on it now and had no choice but to keep going.

He had tripled checked the family schedule (yes he kept up his stalking tenancies and made sure to know when and where everyone was as much as possible). According to his calendar, no one would be in the Cave for the next couple of hours. Plenty of time for him to complete his task, plus he’d even have time left over to just hang out at the manor (it was the third Friday of the month, so he would be able to snag the first of Alfred’s cookies as a bonus).

Eating the cookies were essential to his mission of course, he needed to make sure it looked like a normal visit as much as possible. Just in case anyone became suspicious of what he was doing in the Cave.

It was no secret his family tended to be nosy and lived to gossip. It wouldn’t take long for them to spread the word he was keeping secrets and they would stop at nothing to find out what he may be hiding. He had to finish this today, the next time he would able to try again would be three months from now. Who knows if the items he purchased would still be good. The moment was now, when he would be in the clear.

He clutched the bag he was carrying tightly, resisting the urge to look down to make sure it had the items he was sneaking in. He already checked the bag five times before leaving his apartment but, who could blame him? This was too important a task to mess up and he only had a small time window to fulfill it.

He choose to ride his bike directly to the Cave, not wanting to chance running into anyone upstairs by accident. He parked his bike and slowly made his way to where they stored their spare suits.  He pasted by each locker until he went to the one marked for him, ignoring the wave of nervousness as he opened up his locker. He grabbed his shoes, glancing around one last time to make sure he was alone, before pulling the items out of his bag.

The bag that contained his biggest secret, it held height increasing insoles. He had to buy a new pair, adding another inch from his last purchase. To his annoyance, Damain had yet another growth spurt recently. The boy getting dangerously close to Dick’s height. He was afraid his family would start questioning why he still was taller than the brat soon.

Tim was just glad he added an alert that let him know anytime Alfred made adjustments to their suits and logged in the new size. Without it, he wouldn’t know when to increase the insoles so he stay a few inches taller than the younger boy. He quickly made the change and threw the evidence in the Cave’s mini incinerator. It would be awhile before he would have to make another adjustment, if not, he had to find a way to stop Damian from growing.

He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if anyone found out the truth, that it’s been years since the youngest passed him in height. For now though, he bought himself another few months and would be able to live without fear of being called the shortest.

Notes:

How long do you think it will be before he gets caught?
