Work Text:

That was the one good thing about jealousy: Leon didn't have it.

Granted, sometimes- a lot of times recently - he felt envious over Rebecca who got to go home after work, or the innocent civilians he passed in the park who would get to watch their kids grow up...

But not jealous.

And certainly never over Luis.

Which was why his entire body felt ice cold when he returned from the bathroom to see a stranger kissing his boyfriend.

Long, powerful legs cut across the dance floor and slipped past patrons congregating over finger foods.

"Hey baby, you okay?"

There. That was what he was worried about.

Luis' shoulders relaxed just a touch at hearing Leon’s voice.

"I'm flattered señorita, really, but ah...I'm not on the market."

The woman shot Leon a calculating look that then turned cold. If Leon weren't used to killing things with his bare hands, he might have been nervous.

As it stands, he'd already scoped out the exit points and had his dominant (read as: non-gunshot-wounded) shoulder in front of his partner. He crossed his arms and raised one eyebrow. Not daring her to try something, but calmly informing her it would be a bad idea.

With a huff and a mouthed 'call me' to his partner, the stranger tossed her long hair over one shoulder and sauntered off.

A warm forehead pressed itself into Leon's shoulder from behind and the taller man sighed.

"Hate it when they do that."

"Yeah, I know. It's not okay." Leon's jaw tightened as he tried to tamp down the fury behind the validation.

Luis sighed again and shook his head gently, wavy hair whispering against his lover's jacket. Leon softened his voice for his love's ear only.

"Do you wanna head home, Caro mio?"

Warm hands slipped around Leon’s waist and Luis must have smiled against his thick jacket as he held him close.

"No, I want to dance, Amor."

Leon chuckled in the back of his throat and took one of the hands that had made itself at home on his abs.

"Then your wish is my command." Leon smirked, tugging the other man onto the dancefloor. Luis chuckled and his cheeks tinted at the chivalrous turn of phrase from his prince charming.

"Careful there Sancho, I might have to take you up on that offer." Starstruck gray eyes were illuminated by variegated nightclub lights as he smiled cheekily, one dimple showing beneath the swirling lights. Purples, blues, and pinks all wove and bounced around the Spaniard’s silver hair strands, mesmerizing his lover as the beaming man's radiance completely distracted the trained agent.

Then Luis took his other hand and they let the music carry their bodies together, fingers interlaced and one's back safely nestled against the other's chest. The two men had all the time in the world beneath the captured stars of an old disco ball and the hot neon lights.

Or at least until last call, which was close enough to forever when they were safe and in each other’s arms.
