Summary
While on a rescue mission for The President's missing daughter, Leon Kennedy happens upon another village captive: Luis Serra. Saving Leon from his chains and claiming he can help, though reluctant with suspicion and unanswered questions - unable to leave the man to die - Leon forms an alliance.
That is until his assistant Hunnigan over comms reports back with the truth: the Spaniard is an ex-Umbrella scientist.
Loathing and confusion turns into curiosity, which through analysis and time, turns into developing feelings. Fighting between his duty and getting *very* distracted, Leon perseveres through waves of maniacal, puppeteered beasts once human, as well as his own progressing infection - with the help of Ashley, whom he must protect at all costs, and Luis, the man who holds more than just the cure for their affliction.

Leon’s shoulders sagged at seeing a little girl shyly peeking out from behind Luis’s legs. She couldn’t be older than five—even younger than Sherry was when Leon first met her. Ashley gasped, the sound causing the little girl to tug at Luis’s pants. He quietly murmured something in Spanish to her, and she reluctantly stuck her head out again.
“This is my daughter,” Luis introduced her to his companions.

With the events of RE4 concluded, Luis introduces his daughter to Ashley and Leon, and the four return to America for the next chapter of their lives. Luis and Leon raise her together, traversing the struggles of fatherhood while tiptoeing around their feelings for each other.

Summary
In all of his life, in all of the relationships he’s had, romantic or otherwise, Leon never knew it could feel like this. He wanted to seep into Luis, fill in his cracks and broken pieces, inhabit Luis’s heart and soul in place of God. He could no longer tell where he ended and Luis began, and he didn’t care to find out. For now, he could imagine they were the same entity, a singular being. Love was less terrifying when faced together.
Or, Leon and Luis navigate a new relationship together, surrounded by loved ones they call family.

“See?” Luis grinned at him, and it would take a gun to his head for Leon to admit the sight caused his chest to flutter like a schoolboy with a crush. “I had to give you a chance to pay me back.”
Leon shook his head, unable to keep his own grin at bay.
“You were a fine knight, Don Quixote,” Leon said.
“You still can’t say it right,” Luis teased. “But I accept your compliment.”
