Work Text:
“be quiet!” hissed a giggling Todd, slapping his sweatshirt covered hand onto Neil’s mouth. he sat on top of Neil’s thighs, keeping the actor pinned to his own bed. he laughed behind the cloth material.
Todd leaned back down, his lips barely touching Neil’s just by a millimeter. “we’re supposed to be studying, remember?” he hummed in a hushed tone, pressing the smallest kiss to the skin right below Neil’s bottom lip. he removed his hand away and placed it besides Neil’s head. “unless you want Charlie to walk in here, or worse, Mr. Nolan.”
“okay! okay, i promise. no funny business.” Neil surrendered. Todd removed himself from Neil’s thighs and sat down next to him, pulling his textbook back onto his lap. he began reading silently again, not noticing Neil’s lingering stare.
Neil tried to look back down at his book and study, really, he did. but he couldn't help it when his pretty boyfriend was sitting right beside him. Todd’s mesmerizing eyes were stuck on the page he was reading, entranced by the poem. Todd then looked his way, but Neil pretended he wasn’t looking at all.
Todd laughed and hit his shoulder, “stop it.” he emphasized, turning his body and putting the book over his face. “okay, that’s just evil.” Neil whined, trying to put the book down, but Todd’s grip was too strong. Todd descended it slowly, “okay, here’s a deal for you, Neil.” he started, Neil perked up.
“study for ten more minutes, and i’m all yours, okay?” Neil nodded excitedly like a puppy, “deal.”
Todd returned to his book, picking up his pencil to scribble something down in his notebook. Neil pretended to read the passage, and even though he truly loves reading and poetry with every fiber of his being, he loved Todd just a little bit more than that. “okay, i can’t.” Neil exclaimed, pushing both his and Todd’s books to the ground.
“Neil-!” Todd began to protest, but Neil already him pinned to the bed. “it hasn’t even been a minute since i said that!” Neil shook his head, “i can’t wait that long without kissing you.”
and so his lips were back on Todd’s, devouring him like they hadn’t kissed in months. Todd didn’t bother to fight him either, he was enjoying it just as much. Neil raked his fingers through Todd’s hair as they kissed, and he felt Todd sigh in comfort at the feeling. Todd’s hands cupped Neil’s face to keep him in place.
their kisses were always soft, leaving the other in a happy daze. they were the personification of love when it came to each other. always so gentle with each other like they could break any moment. Neil looked at Todd like the stars hung above his head, and Todd looked at Neil like the moon shimmered above him.
Todd’s hands then made their way into Neil’s hair, tugging at the strands. Neil gasped ever so slightly. his hand reached up to grip the headboard to kiss Todd better, but his hands only pushed against a stack of textbooks, allowing the tower to fall on their floor, making a noise louder than anything.
they both jumped away from each other because of the noise. Neil only stared at the mess on the floor, trying not to laugh. “Neil!” Todd whined, hitting his shoulder repeatedly. “you’re cleaning it up!” he yelled, and Neil put his hands up. “okay!”
as Neil bent down to pick up the books, their dorm room door swung open, and Charlie stood there along with Knox and Meeks. Todd screamed internally. “what the hell are you guys doing in here?” Charlie asked.
“Neil won’t stop fucking around so i’m making him
clean it up.” Todd said immediately, pointing down at him. “you guys are alright though, yeah?” Charlie reassured. “yeah, we’re fine. just trying to study.” Todd smiled convincingly. the three other poets nodded and left the room without another word.
Neil had just stood up from the floor when they left, and Todd gripped the collar of his shirt and pulled Neil against him. “i’m going to kill you.” he said before pushing his lips back onto Neil’s allowing both of them fall back on the bed.
