Chapter Text
The afternoon sun shone into the headmaster’s office through the blinds, the light hit a glass of water on the desk, and reflected onto Naegi’s face. A man sat in front of him, hands crossed over his face as he stared at his desk. He spoke up. “What makes you think I want an assassin in my school, Kizakura..?”
The scout cleared his throat and turned his head, unsure of how to respond. The headmaster lifted an eyebrow and turned his head to Kizakura, expecting a response. Kizakura spoke up, and Naegi turned his head to the blonde. “Well, he seemed like a nice fit, and we couldn’t find the, uhm, drawing for the lucky student… So we went with the underground network and found this gem.”
The headmaster pinched the bridge of his nose, and Naegi sighed and spoke up, his voice soft. “If you don’t want me to attend, I understand. I can go back to my house and-” The headmaster lifted his hand, interrupting Naegi, and Kizakura seemed surprised. “There’s no need, Naegi Makoto. I’ve read your file. You protected the Togami corporation’s heir; you harmed only those who hurt your sister or you; and you haven’t missed a single kill.”
Naegi looked confused, and Kizakura spoke up. “I got this information from your boss, Naegi. I, uhm, put it all in a file and handed it to Kirigiri here.”
Kirigiri’s eyes flickered back to his desk, the file atop the others being Naegi’s. The brunette’s eyes sparkled, a little hope that he’d be able to get into Hope’s Peak, being able to protect more people, and showing his boss that he really is special and not a punching bag.
Finally, Kirigiri cleared his throat and stood up. “Naegi Makoto, you will be able to hide your identity as the ultimate lucky student here at Hope’s Peak. I trust that you will not harm any of my students and go on to continue your line of assassin work outside the academy. Thank you for meeting with me today. I look forward to seeing you mingle with class 78 this next week.”
