Lament left behind only destruction and despair. Lives changed drastically after it. Cities got destroyed, many people died or got hurt badly and lost everything they were hardly working their whole lives for. It was unforgiving event that left only misfortunes and misery behind.
But thankfully it didn't took one of most important things from people to carry on, it didn't take their hope for better tomorrow.
That also how he got his fame from starting from saviour, lider, to some people thinking about him as demigod or even god that was sent to help them in this hard times and keep their hopes up.
Rover never cared about all those titles his powers indeed are out of this world, but as long as seeing him make people carry on and helps other to still have faith in him and for better tomorrow he was fine with whatever title they gave him.
Black haired man always was checking around Huanglong and other regions if somebody is in need of help. Tacet Discords never stop in their attacks, so he was constantly wondering around world making sure that anybody that is in need will get their help.
This time he was focusing on areas around Desorock Highland and was now checking around places where there supposed to be Midnight Rangers temporary camp. He was about to finish his search and went back, but in last moments he noticed that something wasn't right. In this area there should station one grup of Midnight Rangers, but he didn't find any signs of it not even one person. He decided to check more and in the distance he finally noticed destroyed camp.
'Judging from how it looks they got attacked by group of Tacet Discords. I need to investigate more and maybe I will be able to get to know more what happened in here and where Rangers are. I hope they were able to evacuate in time.'
Rover was looking around camp, but everything was completely destroyed every data and tent were gone, so he decided to go where monster traces lead.
After some time he finally found next clue that he was hoping that he will not see this time. On ground there he found blood and it was getting more and more of it with every step he took. Soon he found another horrible thing, on ground there were laying bodies of many Rangers and monsters. He fastly came to check on them, but all of them were already long gone. He decided to go further after traces until he found some of bigger Tacet Discords trying to break in to some old closed up building. As fast as he could, black haired man defeated all enemies one after another then after checking if all danger is gone he finally went and checked on what made them try to open this door.
'Power is down I need to find battery to be able to get back power and see if there is somebody inside.'
Thankfully he found battery close by and after putting it back he immediately restored power. When he went inside to dark room only illuminated by outside light he noticed young man with teal colored hair with many bleeding wounds on his whole body on the verge of losing consciousness.
"Hey I came here to help, how are you feeling? Is there more of your people?" Then when Rover didn't getting any answer he went closer to him and add. "Do you hear me?"
Then young Ranger weakly focused his eyes on black haired man and whispered. "All gone... I can't do anything... still too weak..."
"It's not your fault Tacet Discords are ruthless, merciless monsters I'm sure you all done your best now hold on I will help..."
Before Rover was able to finish his sentence teal haired man fainted. He quickly caught him in his arms. 'I need to take him to base fast, so they can help him.'
He fastly patched some of the most serious wounds, then brought young Ranger to the closest base and medical staff took him immediately. Rover sighted in relief and was thinking about leaving when one of Rangers came to him.
"Welcome saviour of Huanglong, I hope I'm not interrupting you with anything, but if it's no problem and if you have some time to spare could you meet with our General?"
"Those formalities are not needed and sure I can go and meet him. Where should I head to?"
"I will show you the way please fallow me."
They were walking for a moment until they ended up in from of solid door. Ranger knocked and after hearing answer from inside they immediately went in to the room where behind desk was sitting man with long white hair. When he noticed who entered his office he fastly standed up.
"Apologies for taking your time great saviour of Huanglong. My name is Geshu Lin I'm general of Midnight Rangers and I'm very thankful for your help."
"I always help people in need, so there is really nothing to thank me, but I only was able to save one of yours people, rest got killed some time before I arrived by Tacet Discords."
"Unfortunately in our field of work sacrifices are not anything rare. We always are going on missions with thought that it can be our last one, but in the end it always will have it's part for greater good."
"How come?"
"We indeed lose whole group of Rangers there, but one that survived have with him very important data that will be very useful for us."
"So that how, unfortunate I need to say I don't share this view, all lives are important to me, so I see it still as partial lose."
"Unfortunately there wasn't any other way to prevent it just like many other tragedies. That's why we learn from them and improve."
"How is this young man feeling?"
"Jiyan got attached badly by Tecet Discords, but his state is stable now."
"Who is he? He look young, does others like him take part in dangerous missions like this?"
"He is new recruit, he comes from family of healers. And no our rookies most of the times don't go through situations like this. It was real suprise to us all because Tacet shouldn't be that dangerous out there."
"You all really should..."
Before he was able to finish they heard knocking and to room went one of Rangers.
"I'm sorry for interrupting, but Jiyan woke up."
"Does he tell something important?"
"Unfortunately after waking up he only is staring on the opposite from him wall."
"Can I go and see him?" Asked black haired man.
"Why not, after all you was last person who he saw and you saved him, so maybe he will be more willing to talk to you. Lead our important guest to medical side of base where Jiyan is."
"Of course General, please fallow me." Ranger then bowed her head and wait at door for Rover.
They went through base long corridors until they reached medical side. There after stepping into one of many rooms he noticed teal haired man siting on bed in deep thought. Rover came closer to him, but he didn't got any reaction, so he gently put his hand on Jiyan shoulder.
Young man jumped a little and finally focused his eyes a little on black haired man.
"Easy there you got hurt pretty bad out there. How are you feeling? Do you need something?"
"Is it important... they all are..."
"Shh don't beat yourself with what happened because if not you their all hard work and sacrifice would be for nothing. You survived and saved important information, you done good."
"But I wasn't strong enough, if I trained more I may be able to help them better and then they would survive. "Teal haired man squeezed hard on box for medicines in his hands.
"We can't change past, but we can try to change future, so now focus on healing. You're new here you still have time to learn."
"Then teach me." Said quietly Jiyan.
"Excuse me?"
"Then teach me you're saviour of Huanglong with power close if not equal gods, so for sure..." Jiyan then finally fully focused on his surroundings and looked sadly at black haired man. "Oh... sorry, I shouldn't be this pushy and..."
"Alright, I will teach you."
"What?"
"I will teach you, ofcourse I know I didn't need to say it to medic, but first focus on fully recovering and then I can help you."
"You really don't need to, somebody as important as you for sure have many places to be or important matters to attempt."
"But I want to and I have enough time to help you out, so first heal, then we will start your training."
Teal haired man thought for a moment then with determination he spoke. "Thank you Master, I will not disappoint you."
"Good to hear that your spirit is back, now rest you really need that."
Rover lightly pat Jiyan head and then went out of room to let him rest peacefully. Outside black haired man noticed Geshu Lin walking down the corridor.
"I heard from Ranger that you agreed to teach Jiyan."
"I hope it's no problem."
"Of course it isn't, having legend like you help is more that one can ask for."
"Good to know that it isn't against any rules, now are there any more places that may need help?"
Like always Rover was focusing on travelling around and helping people in need until he got message that Jiyan fully recovered, then he came back to base to start their promised training.
They started with theory, they invited other interested Rangers and teach about different types of Tacet Discords and how to counter all of them. Rover thoroughly explained how all of them fight from small ones like Tick Tack to big ones like Chasm Guardian.
After finishing all of teory then came time for combat training. Again anybody interested could join in, so General allowed them to reserve hall and there they started their trainings.
With every day black haired man noticed how fast Jiyan is learning and how much stronger he's getting. Teal haired man was determined to learn everything, but thankfully Rover noticed that he didn't lost his concentration and focus anymore. He was afraid that because of what happened to Jiyan and how he was reacting at beginning it could leaves him regretfull and full of negative emotions what could end with unstoppable wrath and carelessness, but thankfully it didn't happened and he was full of energy and positive spirit.
Soon training came to an end Rover was siting outside the base with Jiyan at his side.
"Next week I will travel far away from here."
"Can I go with you Master."
"I'm sorry, but I don't know when I will be back also it could be dangerous journey even for me and you have your duties here Jiyan."
"I knew that you will say something like that, but still it was worth a try." Then he looked like he remembered something important and standed up. "Wait here for a moment."
"I'm not going anywhere yet, so you don't need to worry."
Then teal haired man quickly went back to the base, after some moment he came back with something hidden behind his back.
"You helped us a lot and I know it isn't much, but here." Then he handed black haired man medicine box. "I made it myself like my mother teach me and I also made medicines inside. I know you are strong, but it's better to be prepared for any situation."
Black haired man took box in his hand and smiled softly. "Thank you, I really appreciate it."
Jiyan smiled back, then they spend rest of the evening talking and enjoying each other companion.
Next week came fast and as he said Rover went to another of his adventures, long time have passed since then, but even though he know how strong black haired man is Jiyan couldn't help to worry about his Master. But soon he needed to focus on other important things like another fights and especially big one after which he became new General.
From day to day he tried his best to save as much lives as he can without losing Midnight Rangers in the process.
Everything was going as usual him planing their next move and fighting of enemies until he heard about unknown man that lost his memories. Black hair, strength beyond normal human and perfect at fighting with many difficult enemies. From description Jiyan though that he seems as somebody dear to him, but he didn't want to get false hope and continued with his duties.
Then finally came time when Jiyan was able to meet this famous Rover that already in short time help a lot of people and his fame was spreading everywhere, but their first meeting unfortunately took place during fight with Tacet Discords.
Jiyan immediately recognised this movement and look that during many passing years didn't change even slightly.
"I'm sorry that our meeting went like this, but now let me officially welcome you Mas..." Jiyan cleared his throat and fastly correct himself. "Welcome Rover I hope our work together will go well."
"Nice to meet you General Jiyan, I was waiting for our meeting."
Jiyan needed to hold his happiness from showing on his face and stop himself from coming closer to black haired man and hugging him after seeing this soft smile that he was missing so much and small medicine box attached to his side, but for everything will come time now they need to focus on enemies that are awaiting for them.
