Work Text:
Bruce stared at his phone. Dick was still refusing to talk to him. He didn't know what to do. Well he did. And he didn't.
Dick was upset after finding out that he had officially adopted Cassandra as well as Tim and Jason. He still hadn't even mentioned the possibility of getting the paperwork for Dick. Which wasn't true.
He had the paperwork. Had for a long time. Kept making sure it was updated and just needed their signatures. Had ever since Dick was old enough and they were on speaking terms.
But every time he contemplated giving them to Dick something would happen. They would have a fight or Dick would say something that sent Bruce right back the the days where Dick yelled that Bruce would never be his father. So Bruce would be too afraid of the rejection.
He needed something to get Dick to at least look.

Dick looked at the box baffled. It had been a long time since Bruce had tried to get on his good side with gifts. Especially nicely wrapped ones. In fact it hadn't happened since he was a child. But something made him think about those first few years looking at the box.
He looked at the tag and smiled to himself. It was from his childhood. Specifically the candy shop that Bruce used to take him too all the time. Where Dick learned all the joys of all the different types they had.
He opened the box and inside were all of his favorites. It wasn't going to make things better though. He started unpacking it and then froze. There was an envelope from Bruce's lawyers. The ones that handled the adoptions.
Dick looked in and saw all the papers. And decided maybe he would forgive Bruce that time.
