"H-help me", he whispered.

It echoed his words back to him.

Little Timmy disappeared in a winter forest for days and returned unharmed. But he came back different, he's not the same Tim he used to be, and that is something he can live with. What he finds strange, however, is his ever growing need to be with his people and protect them. That is also okay, because he would do absolutely anything for them, even if they wouldn't do the same, even if they don't understand.

Chapter 1: To Exist as Solely One

Summary:

Something exists here that didn't exist before.

Chapter Text

Within the deep vast darkness, the cosmic skies above all worlds, there is harmony.

A fleet travels through the darkness, all functioning in unison, synchronized.

All live as one and one lives as all, they are at peace.

They desire sanctuary, security. A world away from all.

It is the only way.

Suddenly there is pain, there is suffering.

There is panic and there is fear.

They all feel pain. They all sense danger.

They must flee, they must hide once more in the endless abyss.

A force that once existed as one briefly breaks into millions. The pain must be endured.

This is the only way.

The fleet departs. It escapes into the corridors of worlds.

But one remains.

A single fragment is left behind.

They are alarmed, they begin to fear.

No, they must achieve stability, they must seek safety.

They must seek comfort within them.

It.

It exists alone now.

A world approaches, it senses stability. It enters.

Breaking through forces, breaking through layers.

It senses signals, it aches, it hurts.

It conceals itself. The signals disappear.

It senses a surface, it approaches. It slows.

It relaxes, it calms.

But there is no more, energy depletes.

It feels weak, it feels dread, it feels lonesome.

Death is foreign yet feels too close.

It waits, waits.

And it clings to a new feeling.

It clings to hope.
