CUTSCENE 1 (post-Mad Matrix Act 2):
As the MAD MATRIX zone returns to its full neon color scheme, including the areas fused into the surrounding white and gold castle structures, the camera pans to a small raised set of platforms, where Silver the Hedgehog is seen looking around the place from above.
Approaching Silver, the white hedgehog turns to Shadow and puts his hands up defensively.
Silver
Woah, easy there Shadow. I'm not interested in being rivals today.
Shadow nods, too busy with his current objective with Black Doom to wish for any unneeded obstacles. He doesn't know Silver very well, but he's willing to chat with him.
In-Game Interaction 1 (post-Mad Matrix Act 2):
Silver
I was invited to a birthday party, but this... time monster it seems, appeared out of nowhere just as I arrived.
Now I'm here... Great...
Silver
Remember Eggman N, the time traveler? He was just here!
Definitely up to no good. Better take care of him if you see him, okay?
Silver
I'll keep looking around here, I guess there's no telling who might show up.
Friends, fellow stragglers, or more trouble...
In-Game Interaction 2 (post-Mephiles boss)
Silver
Mephiles? That name's tickling my brain...
I had the same feeling when I met that princess, Blaze.
Curious, isn't it?...
Silver
I hope I can still go to the party after this.
I... don't get invited to parties often, it's nice to be included, you know? In fact, it makes me think about actually staying in your time…
Silver
I have so many new friends, but I really hope I get to see Espio again at the party, he's so...

CUTSCENE 2 (post-Eggman N/Egg Dealer II Boss)
Shadow approaches Silver, tossing the white Chaos Emerald in his hand.
Shadow
Like taking candy from a baby
Silver
Hope you don't mean that literally...
Shadow
Of course not
Shadow tosses Silver the Chaos Emerald, who catches it with his psychokinesis.
Shadow
I hear Sonic is looking for these, Rouge will tell you where to find him... she also claims there's more than one Sonic out there, so make sure it's the right one.
Silver
I will... thank you Shadow.
Shadow makes a grunt, before turning to walk away, ignoring him.
Silver
Uhhh... A "you're welcome" would be great! It's what friends say-
Shadow
We're not- Nevermind...
Shadow continues to walk away, but Silver notices something's wrong. Against his better judgement, he catches back up to Shadow.
Silver
Shadow, are you okay? I know I don't know you well, but you seem... broodier than usual. What else have you seen?
Shadow pauses, looking over his shoulder at him. He has a lot to say to answer that question, but even in a timeless world, not enough to explain.
Shadow
I'm fine, just... get going. See you around.
Silver contemplates engaging further, but decides it's not worth it.
Silver
... Alright, but if you ever need a psychokinetic hand, remember I owe you one!
Silver powers up in an aura of cyan psychokinetic energy, and blasts off towards Chaos Island where Rouge awaits. Shadow watches him as he goes, before turning to skate away in the opposite direction towards Maria and Gerald for the final showdown with Black Doom.
