Sonic and Shadow were sitting on the edge of a cliff. They somehow ended up here after racing for a while, but neither of them really wanted to go home just yet.
They just sat there in silence, staring at the landscape in front of them. It was comfortable for Shadow. He liked the silence, it reminded him of how he and Maria could sit in silence and stare at the earth for hours.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn't sitting next to his dead sister right now.
