Summary
Astarion thinks this is a terrible idea. Talking to Sagaad will bring nothing but terrible memories back. He doesn’t want to remember the year alone. He doesn’t want to think about the thousands of sexual partners he had to please. He wants to forget and move on. That is not a foolish concept. He’s not wrong about it.
He is pacing and muttering justifications to himself when he hears a knock on the door and a woman’s voice ask if she will be allowed in.
For a long moment, Astarion thinks about canceling. He could just send her away. It would be so easy.
“C-come in.” His voice chokes out, his throat struggling to make words happen when he forgot to breathe. He would have to be careful around the half-orc. She would notice him forgetting to breathe and blink. Shit. He hasn't worried about anything like that in months.
