   Summary

   Lucius Verus is hungry. He has been for a long time—since the revival of Rome and the Fall of Numidia. He’s itching to sink his nails into flesh, rip and pull till there’s nothing but blood to coat his fingers.

   Fighting was his salvation, pain was a friend he talked to often, but something new is on the rise. Something with robes of black and eyes that are even darker, and it is then, that Lucius begins to wonder if there is another road to salvation other than one covered in blood.
