Lucy was walking making circles in her bathroom.This wasn’t happening.That was an awful nightmare.She looked at it again.Still loading.She was so, so dumb.That was stupid, just a stupid mistake that might change her life forever.
Like usual Fairy Tail made itself reasons to party.What was different this time is that her and Natsu have been dating for a while.They were having sex, which is not that surprising because they are both consenting adults.The thing is, coming back from those parties she couldn’t remember if they were safe each and every single time.And now her period were late.She was the kind of girl who was always on time and now she’s been waiting for over 48 hours.
Natsu’s moving into her apartment was scheduled to be in a little bit less than a month, so even if he spent a lot of his time at her house she was lucky enough that he was absent this morning.And so on she went to the pharmacy and brought 3 pregnancy tests.She heard that sometime there could be errors on them so she should do more than one.
Lucy felt so lonely in that aisle.Sure she wasn’t a teen, she was a grown woman who may be young but still was pretty normal to have a child.Her best friend, Levy, was on her third trimester for god’s sake.However, she’d always believed that the day she was going to buy her first pregnancy test would be with her husband.Not alone.
She looked again at the test.Still loading.How long does these things take!Her and Natsu never even brought up kids.Sure they talked about the future, they were moving together and talked about buying a bigger place later on, getting married was something that they both would want, but kids were never brought on.Did Natsu want them?She felt so alone and insecure in her bathroom.
She looked again.There was a light plus on the test.She was pregnant.To be sure she did the two others.This time she sat down as she waited for the two other results.She was pregnant.Lucy knew she had two choices, she could keep it and become a mother, or she could have an abortion and continue her life as it is.
Lucy was panicking.This is scary, why hasn't she talked to her boyfriend about it!Why did she do that alone?It wasn’t too late to call him but she decided not to.At that point she wanted a face to face conversation.She loved her life, she loved it so damn much.But under all her insecurities she wasn’t all that mad about carrying a child.She wanted children.That was something she knew.But Lucy didn’t think she’d have one now.If she chose to keep it that would be a lot of sacrifice.She wouldn’t be able to be a mage for her entire pregnancy, they’ll have to move fast into a bigger place, would Natsu’s income only could even support them both?
She looked at the two other tests.Positive.She put herself in a mess.And then she realized how dumb she was.She didn’t even think about taking a more specific test, she only knows that she is pregnant, not how long she is.She took the three sticks and put them in her drawer hoping that Natsu wouldn’t go there fore she tells him.She took her wallet and head back to the pharmacy.
She passed down the aisle where she did not need anything.Everything was so white, it looked like that place was from heaven.The color reflected the sun and by the big windows which made that place just so bright.Maybe she was putting attention on everything except her problems but could you really blame her?
At her desired section of the store Lucy was stunned.A wave of blue hair was looking at the pregnancy’s tests.What was Juvia doing here?Okay dumb question.But she didn’t know that her and Gray were trying.Or were they?Knowing Gray he would have come with her if it was planned.Lucy was reading too much into things there would be many reasons why Juvia’s boyfriend wasn’t with her.
She thought about going back, she didn’t want to bother her friend nor did she especially want to talk about her own pregnancy.Even then she wanted to be supportive of Juvia so the worst that could happen would be to lie about what she was here to get.She slowly walked down to her friend.
“Hi Juvia.”
Juvia looked surprised to see her.She rapidly put the pregnancy test behind her back like it would change something.
“Oh-Hey Lucy!Juvia wasn’t expecting to see you here.”
She looked nervous and a bit jumpy.
“Sorry I did not want to interrupt, I saw the test, I won’t tell the rest of the guild if that’s what’s bothering you.”
Lucy felt a bit bad, of course the majority of people wait for the end of the first trimester to tell people.Juvia and Gray surely did not want everyone to know if that was positive.But Juvia talked fast after her statement.
“Don’t tell Gray either.”
Oh.They are in the same boat.
“Don’t sweat about it, I won't tell a soul.”
Juvia gave her a frail smile as she looked at the box in her hands.
“Juvia just…Juvia and Gray haven’t talked about kids yet so if it’s negative Juvia don’t want to worry him for nothing.”
“Don’t worry I get it…”
Lucy looked at the box the other girl was holding.Ain’t no way she was going to let her do the same mistake.Lucy pulled one of the more “advanced” tests and put it into Juvia’s hand.
“If it’s positive you’re gonna know how far along you are.”
She took a second one and kept it in her hand.Juvia looked at her in awe for a moment before taking it again.
“Same boat, Juvia guess.”
“Unfortunately yes.”
They both went back home promising to text each other after getting the results.They were in some kind of mess.
Back home Lucy did not wait and rushed to her bathroom.This time the wait seemed more bearable.I mean now she knows, she was definitely pregnant.She looked back at her test, Lucy Heartfilia is about 3 weeks pregnant.She was hoping to see like a week.God, she drunk in the last three weeks!Did she eat something that was bad for the baby?Does it even matter?She knows that she will have to schedule an appointment with Porlyusica, she was wondering what kind though.But first she needed to talk with Natsu.She knew that fortunately abortion was legal in Fior within the first trimester and that she was pretty early but Lucy needed to talk to him today.So she called him.
“Yeah Lucy?”
“Can you come to the apartment? I need to talk to you.”
Her voice was shaking.The tears that she didn’t know she was holding back were now falling.
“Luce, are you alright?You are scaring me.”
“I just need you to come alone.”
“Wait, I’ll be there in a minute.”
She finished the call and texted Juvia.”3 weeks in, give me news.Love you ❤️”
Lucy then got up off her bathroom floor and put the test in her hoodie’s pockets.Or should she say Natsu’s pockets.She took a deep breath.They love each other, they’ll talk and make a choice together.She got out of the restroom just in time to see Natsu hop in the window to get in their apartment.If someday they’ll have kids she’ll have to take that habit out of him so that they do not take this example.The man she love spotted her immediately wearing his old sweater, her eyes were red and puffy, she just been crying.He rushed to take her in his arm.
“Luce what happened.”
He was warm.She hugged him saying nothing as tears streamed down her eyes.Natsu hummed softly telling her that everything would be alright.He was right.She could do this.Whatever the future announced she could do it with him.She slowly pushed him back as he looked at her with worry.
“I’m pregnant Natsu.”
His eyes immediately changed, he looked at her in disbelief.
“You're kidding, right?”
Lucy did not know what to think of it so she gave him the test.
“I’m three weeks in.”
Natsu didn’t seem to believe it.She expected him to be shocked of course but that was more than she expected.
“Lucy, that's not funny at all.”
He began to get on her nerve.She wouldn’t joke about things like that!Angrily she got her nightstand drawer and showed him the three other tests.
“No Natsu I’m not fucking joking!We did it more than once without protection. It's not that much of a surprise!”
That wasn’t how she thought this discussion was going to go.She was now ugly crying as her boyfriend took out his lacrima.
“What are you doing with that Lacrima?”
“I’m scheduling you an abortion Lucy!What do you think I’m doing?!”
Lucy was stunned.What was he doing?He is scheduling her an appointment without her consent.
“Excuse me…?You are what now?Last time I checked, that was my choice to make.”
That was his turn to be stunned.
“Wait…You thought about keeping it?You want to keep it?”
“Of course I am thinking about it!I want to talk about our options, not for you to make the decision by yourself!”
She was screaming, even if the walls were pretty soundproof she knew that her neighborhood could hear her.She could imagine their noisy asses ears to the walls listening to all the shit that was going down.
On the other side she never saw Natsu talk that calmly, almost as if he was talking to Asuka, but way more threatening.If it wasn’t Natsu Lucy would have been terrified.
“I don’t think you get it, Luce.I am not having a kid, never.That child could come out as a fire breather I would deny it.”He laughed nervously.”This family is finishing with me.So it’s you choice.You get the abortion and we live our life, move together, get married and everything.Or you get that kid and you never hear from me again.”
What…Where was her boyfriend gone.The man in front of her wasn’t the guy she thought she would finish her life with, that man loved kids, he was the sweetest uncle to Asuka ever since he meet her, that man gave her best friend more gift that Levy could fit in her house at her baby shower.The man she loved raised a cat like his goddamn son.She knew that at their age kids should have been a subject before getting into a relationship but she did not believe he was so against.He did not even talk about it with her.Her heart was shattered in a thousand pieces.
“Alright…”
“So you’re getting an abortion?”
How dare he.
“I have no fucking idea.What I know is that we are done Natsu!That I have that kid or not we are fucking done!”
That was his turn to have tears pearling in his eyes.
“Luce!I love you so much!I don’t want to lose you, but I can’t have a kid so I need you to make that decision.”
She never really realized how angry that man could make her.He almost looked hurt by her words.After what he said that was nothing.He fucking laughed in her face as her heart sank.
“I don’t know if I am having a kid Natsu, but you surely are not.I wanted to talk with you, make a choice together.But you gave me an ultimatum.Where are we even going if we can talk.We are over Natsu because if I get that abortion for you only I’ll never forgive myself.I’m going to make my own choice.I’ll let you until tomorrow morning to get your things out of here, the rest will go into the trash.”
They were both crying rivers.That man looked pathetic and Lucy couldn’t be more mad about it.How dare he cry.That was all his fault.
She turned her back on him and open the door to leave, but Natsu grabbed her wrist and began to muttered something around the line of:
“Please stay, we can still talk about it.”.
She did not let him finish and “Lucy kicked him.”She didn't have much on her, only her lacrima-phone.She got it out to see her messages.”Juvia is over three weeks, she’ll have to take a appointment with Porlyusica to know more, talking to Gray tonight.Give Juvia news too.Love❤️❤️.”.Lucy didn’t answer and closed her phone.Here went her plans of stalking.She won’t bother Juvia when she make the announcement to Gray.She could only hope it would go well for her and to find a roof over which she can sleep tonight.
She walked around for a bit trying to get away from her apartment.How did that even happen.She just broke up with Natsu.She was single again, she never thought she’d be.Lucy thought that she found her soulmate, but if they can even have a conversation where are they even heading.She didn’t have a mirror but she knew that her makeup was completely ruin.What would she say if she corner someone from Fairy Tail?That was a good question.
Lucy headed to a kid’s park.It was an old and rusty playground.The colors were all drained from the toys and it looked like a kid’s cemetery.That thing also surly wasn’t adapted for the new laws about children safety.So most parents prefer taking them at the new, colorful and safe playground.Surprisingly there was two family when she got there, not minding them she went a bit farther than the play era.She sat back against a tree on the muddy ground not giving a care in the world for her clothes.
She closed her eyes and recapitulated her current situation.She was pregnant with Natsu’s kid who didn’t want to hear about it, Natsu’s who she just broke up with.Lucy is single and pregnant.First of all whether she keeps it or not her ex boyfriend needed to get out of her head.She put her hands in her hair clenching, her hair were about to rip out but she needed some kind of pain to help her realize that it wasn’t a nightmare.Abortion seemed like an easy answer.She just broke up with the father and definitely couldn’t continue her present job pregnant.If she wanted a kid she could wait a few years to have a baby with her husband who would want it.But having a baby didn’t seemed like a curse either.She wanted to be a mother someday, so why not take that opportunity.People always said that there is never a real “perfect” time to get a baby, she may divorce her hypothetical husband or have many miscarriages.If she make that choice Lucy had nine months to turn her life around, that was definitely scary and seemed lonely.
She opened her eyes.It was dark outside.That much time had already passed?What hours was it?Natsu must have left her apartment but that didn’t mean that she wanted to get back to it.She needed a safe place to sleep tonight.Her first thought was Fairy Tail, Fairy Tail has always been somewhere safe.Again Juvia wasn’t someone she wanted to bother tonight, neither was heavily pregnant Levy.So Erza was her victim.She taken out her Lacrima-Phone to ask her but it was dead.Well unfortunately she was gonna bother Erza even more that schedule.She walk in the dark to Fairy Hills keys in hands.She did not need some guy harassing her on the top of her pile of problems.Luckily that didn’t happen.At Erza’s door she slowly knock not wanting to wake up the other girls in the rooms beside.After a few seconds her friend answered.
“Lucy what are you-”
Erza, still in her purple pajamas tooked a good look at her.Her mascara was running down her face while her clothes were muddy and her usually beautiful blond hair was tangled and must have some tree sap stuff in somewhere.
“Enter”
Once the door closed Erza took her by the shoulder and looked straight into her brown eyes.
“What happened?”
Lucy was kinda embarrassed.That was Erza, she could tell her everything but she still wasn’t quite ready to expose all her problems like that.
“I-I mean…Natsu’s taking his things out of my apartment, I won’t be a bother I just need somewhere to stay tonight.”
Erza looked sympathetic.
“My door is always open for you Lucy.Can I ask for more details though?”
Lucy looked down, she really did not want to talk about it, but she really couldn’t see herself tell Erza off either.
“We fought and broke up.Not a very exciting story.”
What a liar.The real story needed popcorn.Erza seemed to catch up on that but tried to stay positive.
“I’m sure everything’s gonna turn up alright.You two are a strong couple”
“I don’t think it’s something that can be solved but thank you Erza.”
Erza gave her a sympathetic nod.
“You’re not forced to solve it either if you don’t want to.”
Lucy looked down.She wasn’t about to cry, she won’t, it really wasn’t the time.It felt so right though.Of course Erza didn’t know the extent of the fight but she told her that it was alright, that if she wanted to stay broken up with Natsu it was her choice.Did she want that?God no.She loved him, she believed that he was her soulmate.But she knew that it was better that way, he was bad for her.
“Can I borrow your shower?I think I kinda need it.”
Lucy couldn’t look at herself but she could easily guess what she looked like.Plus, she could cry there without Erza hearing her.
“Of course, you know where it is.I’m just gonna call Jellal.”
“Thank you.”
She then headed to the bathroom and started the shower.Erza and Jellal had been kinda seeing each other but the red hair wouldn’t confirm if they were official or not.She haven’t see them kiss or anything but crime sorcerer come to Fior pretty regularly and Lucy heard some rumors about Jellal staying at Erza’s when they stop by.She couldn’t confirm it though, she haven’t saw them and Fairy Hill was only for girls so it’s pretty unlikely.
“Hey!Where are your towels!”
Lucy was preparing to go in and just wanted to have a towel ready to dry herself after.
“In the second drawer at the left of the sink!”
Lucy opened the drawer.But as she did Erza barged into the bathroom screaming at her to wait.It was already too late though.Lucy just began to laugh nervously.How was that even possible.Three!Three!Juvia, Erza and her just decided to be whores at the same time and get pregnant.What a fucking pity party.Lucy tried to talk between laugh.
“I’m-haha-Just so so-hahah-i’m sorry Erza-haha.”
She close the shower still laughing.She knew that even if she needed a shower Erza needed a good talk.God that was a fucking freak show.She took a deep breath calming her laughter.That was inappropriate and she was honestly surprised that the other girl haven’t smacked her yet.
“Sorry Erza, it's been a rough day.”
“Yeah, seems so.Want to talk?”
“Give me more comfortable clothes, a charger, a drink and I’m all yours.”
Erza gave a small snort and gave her pajamas.
“I have a charger in my living room that you can use.What do you want for a drink?”
“I’ll just take the same as you.”
She stayed silent for a few seconds looking at her weirdly before adding:
“I won’t take alcohol…Do you want me to add it in or…”
“I-I just don’t feel like getting wasted tonight so just the same please.”
“Of course.”
Once they were both sitting in the living room in pj with their little cherry temple they began to talk.Erza explained to her the whole situation.It should have surprise Lucy just how much the red hair could stay calm in every worst case scenario but it didn’t.Erza as always been someone down to earth with quick problems resolution skills.Lucy couldn’t say the same, that was one of the biggest reasons why she respected Erza this much.
Titania explained to her that for a few months now she’d been seeing Jellal.Nothing official, they were allowed to see other people, but that was more due to his guilt about his crime and basically his whole repenting that wasn’t finished.Erza was in love with him, she of course thought about asking to make it official when he felt more free of that guilt.For now it was okay, it was still a first big step.She haven’t seen anyone else and she didn’t think he did either.So a month ago she learnt that she was two weeks pregnant.
“Jellal isn’t someone who is easy to contact if he’s not in town, he is still technically an escapee even if I do wonder how he hasn't got caught yet with how often he’s been spotted.Anyway, it took me two weeks to get a call with him and share the news.”
“You were trying to call him, is it a happy call or otherwise.”
Erza made a face like she ate something sour.That alone was a pretty good answer.
“Otherwise.Definitely otherwise.When I told him he gave me a bunch of crap about needing to apologize for his sins before starting a family or even a long term relationship as if I asked him to marry me.Before I could add something he hung up.He hasn’t answered any of my calls since then.”
Erza silently sipped her drink.That hit close to home, the pregnancy and the communication problems.Erza was still trying to talk to him even after that and she just broke up with Natsu.He did seem willing to discuss when she left.Did she abandon too quickly?No.She said everything she had to say.She left on her own terms.Erza got hung up on.Erza couldn’t say what she thought of it.
“I’m sorry.”
The woman in front of her seemed tired.She added bags under her eyes and her eyes seemed to look far away, but her smile as sad as it was still could bring warmth in everyone's heart.Not the kind of smile that she give in interviews or magazines but the one only some privileged people get to see.Lucy was grateful to see it.
“It’s not your fault Lucy, you shouldn’t apologize for that sort of thing.”
It felt inappropriate asking but the question was burning her tongue.She needed to know what Erza wanted to do.
“You’re not forced to answer at all but I was wondering what you 're gonna do?Like are you keeping it?”
She looked down as she asked to not face Erza’s glare.Lucy knew how scary that thing was.
“I must say that it wasn’t an easy choice and I’m still not sure.I am gonna be a mother.”Erza nervously laughed.“Sorry it’s just weird to say.Sure it would be easier with a dad but I still want to do it.I think I never felt that terrified which really shouldn’t be the case.I’m just scared of being a bad mom.It's not like I had a good example.Sure Master is a good parent but it’s not really the same, I was already use to raise myself, so I’m kinda in unknown territory here.”
Erza gave a small laugh again.That wasn’t right, sure Erza wasn’t someone to hide her fear from everybody, at least not anymore.For her being fearful while fighting was something normal, most of the time if you are scared it’s because your life's on the line.But so casually saying that without an armor on and weapon in hand was weird.Lucy didn’t even register what she said before her sentence was over.
“You’ll be an amazing mother Erza, I know it.”
“Thank you.It means a lot.”She took a few seconds before opening her mouth again.“Quit talking about my problems, let's change the mood and talk about yours.”
Lucy snorted.For changing the mood it’s gonna be way too similar.Poor woman had no idea.
“So I broke up with Natsu.”
“You did it?”
“Yeah…wasn’t a pretty fight.Don’t think I can forgive him.”
“What were you fighting about?l
“You won’t believe me.”
“Try me Luce.”
Erza was way too cocky.Lucy could already see the astonishing look in her face.
“I found out this morning that I am three weeks pregnant.”
Her look was even better than Lucy’s daydream.Her eyes were wide open, her mouth slightly open.She even almost spilled the rest of her drink but miraculously caught it without even looking at her glass.
“You’re kidding, right?”
“That’s what he said.”
“I just never thought that this man was sexually educated.”
Lucy choked on her drink.
“Let’s just say that our first time was something.”
Erza restrained a laugh.She tried to hide it because even if they were joking the conversation was still serious but unfortunately for her Lucy knew her enough to see it.
“Anyway he wasn’t happy about it.He tried to schedule an abortion without asking me.”
Erza's eyes changed immediately, she was angry.
“He what?”
Lucy didn’t answer.Erza understood perfectly fine.She was childhood friend with him, it’s normal that for her it seemed out of character for him to do that.To be honest Lucy didn’t need to know him for that long to still be incredibly surprised by that reaction.
“Yeah.Not that I have anything against abortion, I’m still thinking about it, my choice is not made at all.The thing is we couldn’t talk about it.He had to choose and it’s my body at the end of the day.I can’t stand by him when he won’t even discuss that sort of thing with me.”
Erza's eyes were apologetic.Lucy knew her enough to know that she would never apologize for something that she didn’t fully believe was her fault but it didn’t mean that she wasn’t feeling guilty.Sure he wasn’t her responsibility but Natsu was still somewhat someone who got closer to be a brother than a simple friend.Knowing Erza she did feel that in some way like Gray he is sort of a responsibility, and now that he did something like that she somehow failed to show him to be someone respectable.Erza hated failure.
“Whatever you do Lucy you are gonna make the best choice.Just don’t take him back, that’s the only wrong one.”
She chuckled.Sure Erza knew the extent of the problem but she had that way of making it seem lighter.Like it wasn’t a life changing problem.Like in less than 24h hours the future she imagined for herself had been torn apart and thrown in the trash can like a miserable old sock.Erza future looked more set in stone than she like to admit.It made Lucy envious.If her best friend could do it why wouldn’t she?But that friend was still the legendary Titania.If Lucy told her about it she would say that she could do whatever the hell she wanted if that didn't hurt other people.Erza is great advice, except when you’re looking for somebody to tell you what to do.
Her phone buzzed.Juvia sent her a text.Lucy must have made a pretty weird face because Erza seemed worried.
“What is it?”
She didn’t answer, Lucy couldn’t quite understand what she just read.Juvia text was pretty clear but it also gave her many questions. “It didn’t go well.Can Juvia sleep at yours tonight?She doesn’t want to stay home.” It of course didn’t go well but to what extent.Did he completely reject them?Was he open compared to Natsu to pay child support?Are they together right now?Does he want to keep it and not Juvia?Lucy only knew that she was pregnant, no that she wanted to be.
Before she could finish her overthinking session Erza who apparently called her many times had enough and snatched the phone out of her hand.Lucy tried to say something back and force her to give the lacrima back but she saw Erza’s face fall and there was no turning back.
“You’re kidding.”
“I wish Erza, I wish.”
Erza began tapping on the lacrima, answering Juvia's message.
“I’m telling her to come if that’s alright with you.”
Lucy really didn’t mind her coming, Juvia was one of her best friends and she wanted to know what happened with Gray.But she also knew that if she did mind Erza wouldn’t let it slide and would make her opinion change somehow.Or simply with death threats, those are terrifying coming from Titania in person.
“No it’s alright I meant to call her later.”
And so Juvia was on her way to Erza’s dorm.Within that time both girls talked and mocked about lighter subjects making some food.Lucy wasn't a chef by all say, her father wasn’t even letting her in the kitchen when she still lived with him, so the first time she actually cooked something was after she ran away.It was pretty late to learn by that point but she’ll admit that her princesses taste pushed her into easier and tastier solutions like restaurants.Erza thought was incredible though.Lucy was flabbergasted seeing her cut so fast carrots in perfect little dice.She almost couldn’t see her hand moving, if she went half of that sad Lucy would have shop half of her fingers off.
By the time their salad was finished they heard a knock on the door.Surprisingly there wasn’t just Juvia who entered but also Mirajane.Lucy and Erza looked at each other wondering the same thing, Why is Mira here?Seeing their face the young woman immediately answered their silent question.
“I’m pregnant too.”
“Excuse me?!”Lucy blurted out.
Erza resignedly sighed and opened the door wider inviting the two mages to enter.Inside they installed themselves on the counter Erza and Lucy eating the salad they just finished.
“So I guess you have a bunch of questions,”Mira began.”Would you mind if I tell them first, Juvia?”
The water mage smiled lightly.
“Of course not, they are all yours.”
And that’s how Mirajane began her tale.Apparently her and Laxus had been friends with benefits for a while now.
“It was nothing serious for real, no feelings involved.We were friends and that’s it.”
She then went on to explain that she was on the pill so they relied on that only.Mistake because it’s not entirely reliable, and so Mira was late on her period.She took a pregnancy test and of course it was positive.
“To be honest I was kinda happy, kids were always something that I wanted for my future, it wasn’t the best situation of course.In the perfect world I would be married with the love of my life and it clearly wasn’t the case.After a few weeks I told him, I was ready to have split guardianship and all, he was still my friend and my baby’s father.”
She stopped her tale for a moment clearly angry.Nobody had interrupted her yet, she was telling her story they’ll ask questions later.
“He told him that it was none of his business and to not bring him in this mess.I then explained to him that I had sex with no one else in months and was the only eligible father.He didn’t like that, he told me that the only way I would have something from him will be with a DNA test and a court order.At that point I just gave up and told him to not talk to me, it’s way to much trouble for what it’s worth.”
“Congratulations Mira, it’s sad that it happened that way but I’m happy for you.Can I ask how far along you are?”
Mira smiled at Erza’s response.
“Thank you Erza.I’m 10 weeks in.”
“Congratulations Mirajane.”
They talk a bit about Mira’s pregnancy before asking Juvia to explain what happened.Juvia took a big breath before talking.
“So Juvia haven’t been feeling well for a couple of weeks, nothing bad but she was a bit sick, Juvia threw up and was pretty tired.Then she realized that she’d have been missing her period, it’s not unusual for Juvia to miss one but she was unwary with the “sickness” she was carrying so she went to the pharmacy.”
She then went one to explain how Lucy and her met this morning and how she helped her.
“Juvia went home and did both test.She’s gonna have to take an appointment with Porlyusica because she doesn’t know how far she is but with how much time she hasn’t been feeling well Juvia can only imagine being by the end of the first trimester.”
She stopped herself for a bit, Lucy can’t even imagine what she would have done, after the first trimester abortion is illegal in Fior and even if she almost never talks about it Lucy knows that Juvia doesn’t have a good experience in the foster system.
“Anyway, Juvia decided that she needed to talk with Gray about it immediately.So she told him at supper tonight.Juvia wants a kid someday, now is maybe a little earlier than expected but it’s not forcefully bad news.Gray did not think the same.He don’t want kids, at least not for a few years.Juvia is not sure about abortion, she leans more to keep the baby.So yeah…it wasn’t a fun conversation.She knows that if she keep it it means the end of her relationship and it really seem stupid when he actually want kids, just not now.We also talk about what would happen if she does have the baby.Gray won’t be part of our kid’s life at all, he only offer child support but at that amount it was more pity money than anything else.”
Lucy didn’t know what to say, they were all in a similar mess and she still felt like she was miles behind.They knew, even if it was not 100% sure they wanted to keep those babies.She didn’t.Well, sure in a way she wanted to be a mother, she wanted it so much, but having a kid without a dad, without Natsu.She would be alone with a human life and she knew better than anyone that not every single parent handled it well.That scared her, so much.Lucy couldn’t be alone with a baby, she needed her boyfriend.
“Juvia left home after that, the conversation was getting heated and she didn’t want to say something she’ll regret.She went to the guild and texted Kucy to ask if she could sleep at her apartment, but it was Erza that answered.”
Juvia explained that she knew for a few weeks now that Mira was pregnant after she sent her a message destined to Laxus saying that her and the baby are not gonna bother him.Pretty clear in Lucy’s opinion.So with Erza’s text being pretty implicit about the more pregnant girl the happier the evening Juvia invited Mira who was finishing her shift.On the way Juvia had made a little summary of what happened to her.
Again nobody really knew what to say, they gave her small smiles, congratulations and tried their best to lead her into choosing what she wanted and not entirely on what Gray wants her to do.Still, how can you show someone a path that you can’t seem to find.
After Juvia’s story it was Erza’s and Lucy’s turn.Again they weren’t being interrupted, had frail and comprehensive smiles and some advice.Well, as far as advice can go in this shit show.The red hair got some congratulations, Lucy didn’t.Fair enough, she didn’t know if one day she’d have kids.Actually no, she was way too hesitant to say that she did not want children.Was she ready now was more the question.
The conversation slowly drifts off to other subjects more or less heavy.Most of the time less.The four girls laugh and had fun until the late hours of the night.It was way to late for Mirajane to go home and it definitely wasn’t something that Juvia and Lucy wished to do.Erza brought some pyjamas for the duo that arrived later o so that they could sleep comfortably.Then they all made some kind of fortune bed with the sofa with pillows and blankets.By two in the morning they all went to the makeshift bed who was definitely way too small for four people.
It was the death of the night, Lucy could hear the light snoring of Juvia, she could feel Mira who had stopped moving for over an half hour now and just in front of her she saw Erza’s chest rising up and down way too slow for her to be awake.Lucy admired her for a minute, she just looked so peaceful.Her eyes were closed, her respiration steady her lips were almost not open.It was rare to see someone so powerful being so vulnerable.Not that Erza’s is the type to not admit her weakness but she definitely isn’t the type to be defenceless in front of everyone.That was something special for Lucy to have make such a long way with her friendship.
Lucy was between her friends.She wasn’t alone.They were going into the same mess she was.They weren’t going to let her down like he did.If she needed support they were here like she would be for them.Since she learn she associated someone helping to support the child and her as the father of the said kid.But support was from everyone that was willing to help.Natsu don’t want to do Jack shit well good for him, she have her three best friend besides her at all time.Lucy Heartfilia doesn’t need Natsu, she need a support system.She could do it.She didn’t need him.
