The video opens displaying a pastel blue backdrop taking up the entire screen. Midoriya sits cross-legged in the middle of the floor, gently petting a puppy perched on his lap. Next to him, Bakugou is seated less gracefully, one knee up, a scowl already plastered across his face, cradling another puppy in his arm, holding it like a baby.
The puppy in Midoriya’s arm looks at him before nuzzling its cheek into his face. He makes a muffled awe sound before looking over to Bakugou, who is still wearing his scowl.
"You know who this reminds me of?" Midoriya asks, glancing around the room as he holds the puppy up to the camera. It was a pomeranian puppy that was blond all over except for a small brown spot under its right eye, "this little fella reminds me of my boyfriend."
There was a laugh from behind the camera before Todoroki spoke up, "that puppy is nothing like Bakugou, that puppy is cute."
"Why the hell are we even doing this?" Bakugou growls, glaring at the camera, but his hand betrays him as it scratches behind the ears of the border collie puppy in his arms.
Midoriya sighs, sending a playful glare towards Bakugou, "Because puppies make everything better, Kacchan."
That only makes Todoroki laugh harder, "admit it Bakugou, you are basically an angry pomeranian."
"You’re an idiot, Icy Hot." Despite his words, Bakugou’s expression softens as an Australian Shepherd flops over onto Midoriya’s lap.
The audio cuts to music as the screen is filled with a solid blue background interrupting the video as a cartoon dog runs across the screen chasing a bright green tennis ball. The screen flashes with bright, playful letters "The Puppy Interview" appearing at the top of the screen, soon getting replaced by "Featuring: The Wonder Duo". The solid background disappears and then cuts back to the pair.
"Hi, everyone! I’m Pro Hero Deku!" Midoriya flashes the camera his signature smile before waving excitedly. He is wearing an oversized All Might hoodie and black jeans with his iconic red sneakers. "And I’m here for the puppies and to answer some of your questions!"
"And I’m Pro Hero Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight," Bakugou sighs heavily. He was wearing a matching All Might hoodie and bleached-washed jeans with some doc martens, "and I was dragged into this by this nerd."
"You know you love it," Midoriya teases, "Now give me the puppies!"
A few people appear in-frame, dropping off three puppies in between the pair. Midoriya’s eyes immediately glistened with tears. He immediately reaches for the pomeranian puppy. Midoriya looks down at the puppy before looking back towards the camera, a stray tear rolling down his cheek.
The over two were hovering around Bakugou. The border collie puppy immediately found itself on Bakugou’s lap, flopping over to be cradled like a baby. The other was an Australian Shepherd puppy who decided Bakugou’s shoelaces were particularly tasty.
"Are you seriously crying right now?" Bakugou signs beside him.
"That he is," Todoroki’s voice came from behind the camera.
"I can’t help it! They are just so cute," Midoriya's eyes glance between Bakugou and Todoroki before looking back at the puppy in his arms, "please tell me these puppies are up for adoption?"
"Izuku, no."
"But Kaccha-," Midoriya starts before getting cut off.
"How about we get to the questions," Todoroki’s spoke once again off-screen.
The first question flashes across the screen: "Who do the puppies remind you of?"
Midoriya holds the puppy on his lap "This little guy reminds me of Kacchan," he says with a grin.
"Excuse me?" Bakugou looks horrified.
"Look at his little face! So grumpy, but so cute," Midoriya coos, scratching the puppy’s ears as its tail wags happily.
Bakugou snorts. "If anything, this dumb one chewing on my shoelace is you," he pointed at the Australian Shepherd chewing at his sneaker.
The next question flashes: "What’s it like being the Number One and Number Two heroes?"
Midoriya’s face softens slightly. "It’s honestly surreal. I dreamed about this as a kid, growing up quirkless I never thought I would get to this point. Living my dream is even more amazing. I just want to keep helping people and getting to do it next to the love of my life makes it even better"
Bakugou’s rough expression breaks for a moment before he rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, we get it. Sunshine and rainbows. Look, it’s a lot of fuc- I mean fudging work. But hey, they all know I’m the best, so what can you do?"
“I think you mean second best,” Midoriya giggles innocently.
Bakugou scowls, "Say that again and see what happens.”
Another question appears: “Is it weird having All Might as your dad?”
“Wha-” Midoriya squeaks, “he isn’t my dad… Shoto, did you sneak this question in?” Midoriya glares suspiciously beyond the camera.
“Maybe,” a sly voice answers back.
“Well,” Midoriya tilts his head in consideration, the puppy that was on his lap has now made its way over to Bakugou, settling down in his other arm.
“All Might isn’t my biological dad, he left to go buy milk after my quirkless diagnosis and never returned,” Midoriya offered the camera a sheepish laugh. He goes quiet for a moment, clearly thinking back on fond memories. A smile spreads across his face before starting again, “I do see All Might as my father figure. He has always been there for me and has helped me understand situations and how to handle them.”
“You mean like you unintentionally rejecting my confession?” Bakugou spat out with no anger behind it.
“Kacchan not this again! Anyways, it is a tad bit weird seeing him in this light. As a child I used to worship him, I lived and breathed every moment of his career. But now? Now I see him for what he is, a normal guy who just happened to be the number one hero in Japan.”
“Pretty sure he sees you as his son too, but I get what you mean. It is weird seeing the Symbol of Peace as just a normal guy,” Bakugou added. He looks down at the puppy before looking back towards the camera, “did you know he likes to eat his pizza from the crust inwards?”
“Wait, really?” Todoroki asks.
“Yeah, fuc- fudging weird. Apparently, it's because he is saving the best bit for last.”
The two puppies in Bakugou’s arms decided to start acting up, flailing around his arms before bumping into each other and falling out of his arms. The duo watch as the two puppies start to rough house with each other. One puppy makes a sound of protest as the roughhousing goes a bit far. Midoriya snickers before separating the two by lifting one of the puppies and moving it to his other side. It looks at Midoriya confused for a moment before it happily races back to the other puppy, once again starting a playfight.
Another question appears: "What’s something people don’t know about you?"
Midoriya looks thoughtful for a moment before getting ready to answer the question but Bakugou cuts in.
"This nerd cried during the All Might retirement documentary."
Midoriya gasps, "Kacchan!"
"It’s true! You were bawling like a baby!" Bakugou smirks, clearly proud of himself.
"I-I was moved, okay?" Midoriya stammers, cheeks red. Midoriya then smirks. "Well, Kacchan loves bubble baths. He loves having rubber ducks while bathing"
The camera catches Bakugou's wide-eyed, betrayed look. "IZUKU!"
The next question appears: “If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?”
Todoroki puffed out a laugh, “I know the answer to this one.”
“We all do Icy Hot, you aren’t special.”
Midoriya pouts, still petting the puppy in his lap, “well if you two both know the answer so well you might as well answer it for me.”
“Katsudon.” They both answered at the same time.
“The nerd's favourite food is Katsudon, he won’t be able to live without it,” Bakugou continued.
“I mean, you aren’t wrong, I would live off that stuff every day given half the chance!” Midoriya laughs.
“Don’t even lie nerd, before we started living together you lived off instant ramen.”
“Well,” Midoriya starts, clearly not wanting to address Bakugou's comment, “Kacchan just likes anything spicy enough to burn off your taste buds, he can’t cook anything without adding extreme amounts of spicy flavouring.”
“Isn’t my fault you can’t take it.”
The other puppy discovered it could play with the strings on Midoriya’s hoodie and was busy biting at the strings. Midoriya didn’t seem to mind and just wiggled his fingers around, occasionally managing to pet the puppy’s head before it would try to bite his fingers instead.
Midoriya hums thoughtfully down at the puppy, “Do you like katsudon?” he asks in a baby voice, “or do you like Red Chili, like my Kacchan.” He sends the camera a sheepish look.
The next question pops up: "What’s your idea of a perfect date?"
This question appears to stop them in their tracks. They both take a second to ponder the question. They share a look before a grin spread across both of their faces.
Midoriya answers first, smiling fondly. "Sparing under the stars, definitely."
"How romantic," Bakugou mutters, but when pressed, he grumbles, "Somewhere romantic, not too crowded so we don’t have to go undercover, it would be somewhere with some good tasting food. It must have spicy options."
Midoriya beams. "Awe, Kacchan, are you trying to wine and dine me?"
"I’m gonna kill you." The screen cuts to a close up of Bakugou, who has a soft smile on his face as carefully cradles a puppy in his arms.
Midoriya watches, grinning. "Admit it, Kacchan, you love them," he says.
“Is it difficult being an openly queer hero duo and couple?”
Bakugou pressed his lips together, “I won’t lie to you and say it was easy. We hid our relationship from the public for a long time. We weren’t sure how the public would react, how our relationship would affect our careers, and affect our rankings.”
“It was scary, knowing that being true to ourselves could impact our hero career. The thought that being in an openly same-sex couple would affect our hero career? It was terrifying.” Midoriya continued.
“In the end, we came out because it wasn’t just us our relationship would affect. We wanted people to see our love, our happiness, and know that it was okay for them to be queer. That it was okay to be open and true to oneself,” Bakugou finished.
The duo turned towards each other, their eyes meeting with a look that displayed a depth that spoke volumes. Bakugou’s gaze softened with a quiet admiration, while Midoriya’s eyes sparkled with warmth and affection. It was a look that carried years of shared history, struggles, trauma, and victories. The silent exchange of looks spoke volumes about their history. They smiled at one another, a proud, glowing expression that spoke louder than any words. The duo, in perfect sync, turned towards the camera and beamed widely, a smile radiating joy and confidence.
“Damn, those were some deep answers.”
“Shut up, Icy Hot.”
“Where do you buy your iconic yet ugly shoes?”
Bakugou snorts out a laugh as Midoriya lets out a mocked gasp.
“First you ask me the deep questions and then you insult my shoes? How dare you?” Midoriya asks in fake offence before smiling at the camera, “I don’t actually know where they come from, Kacchan buys them for me, everytime a pair breaks a new pair magically appears the next day.”
“So, what you’re saying is that Bakugou is the shoe fairy?” Todoroki could be heard asking off-camera.
“Are you wanting to die?”
“Kacchan, we don’t kill our friends.”
“How do you de-stress after a stressful day?”
“Well, most of the time I enjoy putting on a sad movie and having a good cry,” Midoriya glances at the camera in an almost embarrassed manner. Before looking towards Bakugou.
“When I have a rough day, Izuku likes to give me cuddles, he even cooks for me sometimes, even if most of the time the food ends up burnt.”
Midoriya makes an offended noise, stifling an embarrassed laugh before ignoring Bakugou’s comment entirely. Midoriya turns towards the puppy sitting in his lap, the puppy blinks at him before letting out a small yawn. Midoriya copies the yawn snuggling the puppy closer. Bakugou glares at the puppy before grumbling towards the camera.
“Awe Kacchan, are you a bit jealous?” Midoriya asks before nuzzling the puppy against his cheek.
“I ain’t scared of some dog. At the end of the day, I am the one getting you under the sheets.”
“Wah! Kacchan, we are on camera!” Midoriya turns a bright shade of pink before covering his face.
“Do you have any advice for aspiring heroes?”
Midoriya sits up straighter, his tone was serious but kind. “Don’t be afraid to dream big. Work hard, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, and never stop trying to be better.”
Bakugou nods along, his expression uncharacteristically calm. “Yeah, and remember, it’s not just about strength. You gotta have brains, guts, and the resolve to keep going, even when it feels impossible. And don’t ever let your guard down—villains don’t play fair.”
“What about those who are struggling with their sexuality or gender identity?” Todoroki chimed in.
“It is okay to not know who you are and it is okay to adjust and change your labels as you grow and learn more about yourself. Correct people if they misgender you. Cut people out if they are mean. Never change yourself to make other people happy. Stay true to yourself.” Midoriya adjusted his hold on the puppy in his arms, never once taking his eyes off the camera, not once.
“Basically, what the nerd is saying is, don't let extras tell you who you are, find out who you are yourself and don't let people challenge or change that,” Bakugou huffed out, sharing a similar look to Midoriya as he looked at the camera.
“Awe Kacchan, that was so well said, I feel like I am about to cry!” Midoriya sarcastically rolled his eyes.
Bakugou stands abruptly, cradling the now-sleeping border collie. “Alright, we’re done here. I’m taking this one home.”
“Kacchan, we’re not allowed pets in the apartment! It is against our lease” Midoriya calls after him.
“Don’t care!” Bakugou yells over his shoulder, walking off screen, being sure to flip the camera off in the process.
“Kacchan.” Midoriya uttered with a hint of disappointment.
“Izuku,” Bakugou whined back.
Midoriya appeared to hold a staring contest with Bakugou off screen. They held it for a few moments, neither backing down, before Midoriya strategically raised his eyebrow. Midoriya looked towards the camera, clearly the winner of their little contest.
“Ugh fine, come on, Izuku, let's go,” Bakugou grumbled.
Midoriya laughs, slowly standing up. "Thanks for watching, everyone! And remember, adopt, don’t shop!"
Bakugou can be heard muttering, "Izuku, please, look at him, he is so cute.”
“Who would have thought Izuku would have been the more mature out of the two of you.”
“Oh can it, Icy Hot.”
The video fades completely to black with playful barking and Midoriya’s laughter could be heard as walks off screen.

I am! And I love it, they give me their leftovers after they come back from date night.
The screen fades back in, showing the pastel blue backdrop again. This time, the puppies are nowhere to be seen, and Bakugou is in the frame alone. He looks both nervous and flustered, one hand shoved into his pocket. He glances at the camera crew off-screen.
Bakugou glances around again, “Look, I only have a few minutes while Icy Hot distracts the nerd.”
Bakugou pauses before letting out a sharp exhale, his free hand running through his hair. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let’s get this over with.” He pulls something from his pocket. It is a small velvet box. Several gasps can be heard from the camera crew as he flips it open with his thumb. Inside, a simple but elegant ring glimmers in the light. The band is gold, set with an oval orange sapphire, the sapphire has two green emeralds set on either side of the gem.
“Izuku doesn’t know about this yet,” Bakuguo mutters, holding the box up to the camera, his face growing red. “But, uh... I’ve been carrying this stupid thing around for weeks now. Waiting for the right time or whatever.”
He glares at the camera, “I’m bad at this sappy crap, but…” His voice softens. “Izuku is everything to me. He is my life and has been since we were snotty nose brats. He is the only one that has ever truly believed in me, for reasons I am unsure of.”
Bakugou clears his throat, visibly uncomfortable at the show of vulnerability. “So, yeah. I’m gonna ask him to marry me. I know he will say yes, after all we will be competing for the rest... of our lives…”
Bakugou glances at the camera one last time, “I plan to ask him tonight, so by the time this video airs, you guys watching will already know what his answer was.”
With that he clicks the ring box shut and shoves it back into his pocket as he walks off frame once again.
The screen fades to black again, this time accompanied by soft music, an image slowly takes over the screen.
It was a selfie taken by Todoroki, in the background Midoriya and Bakugou could be seen, both kneeling on one knee, holding identical ring boxes. A text box appeared under the image reading,
“They both said yes!”
The faint sound of a puppy barking is heard before the video ends completely.
