   Summary

   Less than a month after Barok’s trial, Barok lets Kazuma know he’s a vampire, and wakes up the next morning stuck in his bat form. As it would turn out, Kazuma might have damaged Barok’s trust in him a bit more than either of them thought by trying to get him a guilty verdict, triggering a vampire defense mechanism that most vampires don’t even seem to be aware of.
