“I have a question for you,” Dream started, expression casual as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. Sam kept his breaths even, realizing he should probably try to muster up at least some sort of response so Dream didn’t think he was totally ignoring him.
“Hm?”
Very eloquent.
“So, everyone’s going home early next week,” His voice remained low, despite there being no one else in the guest house to hear him anymore, but enough to make Sam’s chest tighten at their proximity. “But I was wondering if you’d… wanna stay a little longer? A couple more days, maybe.”
