The wind howled against the trees as snow blew in every direction possible. Cheetor and Bumblebee struggled against the wind, trudging through the growing snow.
Cheetor had transformed into his beast mode, hoping to gain better traction, while Bumblebee had given up on his alt mode.
“Cheetor! I think we need to find shelter!”
Cheetor stopped, and looked around. “There’s a cave a little bit that way!” He pointed with his head, and started walking, Bumblebee following behind.
They had come here on a Decepticon lead, and didn't anticipate the absolute storm that would follow.
Soon enough, they came to the entrance of the cave, providing some protection against the cold.
It was small and low, with Cheetor opting to stay in his beast mode. Bumblebee crawled in, and winced at his plating scraping at the cave wall.
“We can wait here until the storm dies down.”
Cheetor nodded as he tried to get comfortable on the cold, hard ground. Bumblebee crawled over to sit beside him.
Bumblebee tried to make himself smaller, bringing his knees up to his chassis, and lowering his door wings.
The cave wasn't entirely protecting them, the opening still allowed cold wind and snow inside. At least they weren't directly in it anymore.
Bumblebee shivered. Primus, he hoped that the storm wouldn't last for too long. They didn't have a lot of supplies, and likely wouldn't be able to stay here for a long time.
Cheetor seemed to be doing fine. Of course, his alt mode was an Earth creature, he was likely more built to withstand cold weather. Bumblebee, however…
He hugged himself, rubbing his arms to try to create some sort of warmth.
“Bumblebee?”
Bumblebee spoke through chattering denta. “Y-ya?”
“Are you okay?”
He smiled as he nodded. “Oh, o-of course, I’m ok-okay!”
Cheetor tilted his head. ”…Bumblebee, you don’t look like you’re doing okay.”
Bumblebee brought his hands up to his mouth, and blew hot air into them. “J-just c-cold.”
Cheetor hummed as he transformed, and pressed closer to Bumblebee.
“Are…are you okay with this, Bumblebee?”
Bumblebee pressed in closer. “Y-ya…”
Cheetor’s frame was warm, a relief from the cold air blowing into the cave. Bumblebee wanted to have Cheetor wrap around him, make them both warm, a sort of comfort in the cold weather.
However, he wasn’t too sure what Cheetor was comfortable with. Honestly, this could be the extent of his comfort. Even if it was, Bumblebee would be happy with that.
But as Cheetor’s arms began to move, Bumblebee thought that Cheetor’s comfort may extend further.
His arms wrapped around Bumblebee’s torso as he pressed in closer. “Is this okay?”
Bumblebee wrapped his own arms around Cheetor, feeling much warmer now.
“Yes.”
Cheetor smiled. “Okay, then.”
As the storm raged on outside, the two of them stay in that embrace, keeping each other warm as they waited it out.
