“Bumblebee?”
Cheetor had just gotten a comm about meeting Bumblebee in their shared quarters, something about wanting to show him something.
Knowing Bumblebee, it could be anything.
And Bumblebee standing right beside the door, holding a plant high above his head was certainly something.
“Cheetor! Hi!”
Cheetor tilted his head inquisitively. “What did you want to show me?”
Bumblebee moved closer to him, the two of them now underneath the plant.
Bumblebee had gotten access to human internet, and had discovered a particular tradition for this time of year.
Mistletoe. It would be hung above a door frame, and when two people stood underneath it, they would have to kiss.
Now, it was supposed to be on a door frame, but Bumblebee found plenty of images and videos of someone just holding the plant, and kissing the other person.
Which is where he got that idea.
Truthfully, he couldn’t find mistletoe. It didn’t grow in the forest the ark was in, and Bumblebee wasn't about to go searching the world to find some.
So some random leaves he found would have to do.
“Bumblebee? What did you want to show me?”
He glanced up at the plant. “This is what humans do! They kiss under a mistletoe.”
“A…mistletoe?”
“Okay, I couldn't find any mistletoe, so this is just a random plant I found, but the sentiment is still there!”
Cheetor looked at the plant. “They…kiss…under the plant?”
Bumblebee nodded as he beamed.
“...Bumblebee, did you just want to kiss me?”
“Is it a yes or a no?”
Cheetor leaned forward, and pressed his lips against Bumblebee's.
