I Sink My Teeth In And All I Taste Is Vinegar

Summary:

‘It’s been a whole week of this,’ Wei WuXian comments and Lan XiChen looks over at him.

‘What do you mean?’

‘Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng… they’ve been talking a lot recently and neither of them will say what about!’ Wei WuXian huffs, crossing his arms.

Lan XiChen hums and looks back at the spot that Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi just were, a strange look on his face and his brows pinched together.

Notes:

Lan WangJi turns his head when he hears someone awkwardly clear their throat to get his attention and blinks when he sees Jiang WanYin standing there, his hands crossed behind his back as he shifts uncomfortably in his spot, his cheeks flushed.

‘...Yes?’

Jiang WanYin startles at the sound of Lan WangJi’s voice and clears his throat awkwardly again, flicking his eyes around to avoid looking at the boy.

‘I-I need some… advice.’

Wei WuXian stretches his arms above his head as he walks beside Nie HuaiSang and when he lowers his arms back down by his sides, he suddenly stops dead in his tracks.

Nie HuaiSang stumbles to a stop and looks back at Wei WuXian in confusion.

‘Uh…?’

Wei WuXian pays him no attention as he stares unblinkingly in the distance and Nie HuaiSang tilts his head in confusion and follows Wei WuXian’s line of sight and sees–

Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi sitting together on a bench… talking.

Nie HuaiSang looks back at Wei WuXian nervously and feels a cold shiver run up his spine at the sight of Wei WuXian’s blank expression. His eyes fixated on Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi, Nie HuaiSang is sure that he still hasn’t blinked.

Nie HuaiSang shrinks behind his fan, feeling uneasy by the expression, or lack thereof, on Wei WuXian’s face.

‘Um… Wei-xiong…?’

Nie HuaiSang feels like he could sigh in relief when Wei WuXian finally blinks. But that relief his shortly lived and he feels his blood run cold at the stiffly way We WuXian slowly and stiffly, like a living corpse, turns his head towards him, his blank expression now directed at Nie HuaiSang.

Nie HuaiSang is starting to regret opening his mouth.

He shrinks more behind his fan until only his eyes are visible over the top of it, ‘Uh– I-I didn’t know Jiang Cheng and Lan WangJi were so… close–‘

‘They’re not!’ Wei WuXian interrupts, his voice sharp and Nie HuaiSang lets out a frightened squeak, ‘They’ve barely even spoken until now!’

‘N-No? B-but they...’ Nie HuaiSang nervously looks back over at Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi, ‘they’re… talking w-with each other...’

‘Ha!’ comes a sharp response from Wei WuXian and Nie HuaiSang jumps at the sound, snapping his head back towards him.

‘Jiang Cheng is probably just being annoying, Lan Zhan wouldn’t be talking to–‘

He suddenly stops mid sentence and Nie HuaiSang’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise when he sees Lan WangJi speaking back to Jiang WanYin… and he’s talking in full sentences and not just short, one word responses!

Nie HuaiSang glances back at Wei WuXian and sees the boys hands are clenched into tight fists at his sides, nails digging into the skin of his palms. Nie HuaiSang feels a cold drop of sweat roll down his forehead at the dark look in Wei WuXian’s eyes.

‘Um… W-Wei–‘

‘What does Jiang Cheng even need to talk to about with Lan Zhan?! What could those two possibly have in common that could cause them to even speak?! Nothing, that's what! I bet you that I’d have more stuff in common with Lan Zhan than Jiang Cheng!

‘...’

Nie HuaiSang slowly moves away from Wei WuXian, eyeing his twitching eye nervously.

‘What could they even be talking about that Lan Zhan needs to be speaking in full sentences!? He doesn’t speak to me like that! You–‘

Nie HuaiSang lets out a startled yelp when Wei WuXian suddenly snaps his head towards him.

‘Do you know what they could be talking about over there?’

Nie HuaiSang quickly shakes his head, hiding behind his fan as he cries, ‘I don’t know! I really don’t know!

‘…...I’m going over there!’

‘H-Huh?!’

Nie HuaiSang gapes at We WuXian’s back as the boy makes his way over towards Lan WangJi and Jiang WanYin.

‘Jiang Cheng, Lan Zhan!’ Wei WuXian calls as he makes his way over to them and Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi immediately cease all conversation and turn towards Wei WuXian.

Jiang WanYin’s brows twitch in annoyance while Lan WangJi’s continues to have a cold expressionless face.

‘What the hell do you want, Wei WuXian?’

‘Ah, come on Jiang Cheng–‘ grins Wei WuXian as he wraps an arm around Jiang WanYin’s neck, ‘don’t be so mean to poor, precious, defenseless little ‘ol me.’

Precious?! Defenseless–?!

Lan WangJi clears his throat and Jiang WanYin and Wei WuXian snap their heads towards him. Lan WangJi merely blinks at them before getting up from the bench he was sitting on and turns towards Jiang WanYin.

‘We shall finish this conversation another time. Come find me whenever you please,’ he says and Jiang WanYin nods his head while Wei WuXian gapes at Lan WangJi.

As Lan WangJi takes his leave, Wei WuXian watches him go before turning back to Jiang WanYin and the Jiang disciple doesn’t know if he’s imaging things or if Wei WuXian’s arm around his neck just got tighter.

‘So… What were you and Lan Zhan talking about? Hmm?

Wei WuXian’s narrows his eyes when he sees Jiang WanYin’s cheeks flush before Jiang WanYin scowls and pushes him off and stands up, brushing off imaginary dust from his robes.

‘That’s none of your business,’ Jiang WanYin replies and walks off.

Wei WuXian grits his teeth before he plasters on a smile and runs after Jiang WanYin.

‘Eh, why not? Come on just tell me! I won’t tell anyone!’

Jiang WanYin clicks his tongue in annoyance, ‘no.’

‘Come ooon, Jiang Cheng,’ whines Wei WuXian, ‘just tell me what you and Lan Zhan were talking about!’

‘It’s a secret between me and Lan WangJi and doesn’t concern you,’ Jiang WanYin replies and continues walking off.

Wei WuXian stops walking and watches Jiang WanYin walk off, a strange feeling in his chest.

iii |

Wei WuXian flicks a coin up into the air with his thumb and catches it in the palm of his hand before repeating the action as he walks.

His mind is occupied with what he saw yesterday. How Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi were talking with each other and that Lan WangJi was even talking back! And he didn’t have a look of irritation that he normally has when he’s around Wei WuXian.

And now! Jiang WanYin was keeping secrets from him! Secrets that concern Lan WangJi!

Doesn’t concern you, he says… hmph, it’s about Lan Zhan how does it not concern me!?

It just wasn’t fair!

Wei WuXian bites the inside of his cheek as he flicks the coin into the air again but he sees a flash of white and purple and freezes in his spot, the coin dropping to the ground.

He sees Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi walk up the steps of the Library Pavilion and Lan WangJi slides open one of the door gestures Jiang WanYin in. Lan WangJi slides the door closed behind him after he’s entered as well.

Wei WuXian stays frozen in his spot for a few seconds before his eyes narrow and he stomps his way over to the library, forgetting about the coin still lying on the ground.

He quietly sneaks up the steps and kneels down in front of the doors and presses his ear against it, frowning in concentration as he tries to hear what they’re saying but can only catch short snippets of it.

Like them… appreciate… be fine...’

Wei WuXian frowns in confusion, none of it making much sense to him and he presses his ear more against the door.

...You’re cute…

Wei WuXian jerks back in shock after he heard what Lan WangJi just said and he stares wide eyed at the doors, feeling a strange twisting sensation in his chest.

No way, no way… there’s no way Lan Zhan just called Jiang Cheng … cute! He’s never called me cute before!’

Wei WuXian presses his ear back onto the door to see what else he can catch but frowns in confusion when all he hears is silence. He isn’t ready for the sudden sound of footsteps approaching and the door suddenly sliding open. Wei WuXian lets out a yelp of surprise as he goes tumbling forward.

Wei WuXian blinks up at Lan WangJi staring down at him and even from this angle, Lan WangJi is still just as beautiful as he always is.

‘Wei WuXian?!’

Wei WuXian winces and tilts his head back against the floor and sees an upside down angry Jiang WanYin storming his way over. Seeing his features twisted in anger, Wei WuXian scrambles off the floor and raises his hands in surrender.

‘Ah, sorry sorry! I was just...’

He trails off, not having a good enough excuse for why he was kneeling outside the door.

Jiang WanYin points an accusing finger at him, ‘you were eavesdropping!’

‘N-No I wasn’t!’

‘Yes, you were! I’m going to wring your–‘

‘How much did you hear?’ Lan WangJi asks, cutting off Jiang WanYin’s threat as he stares at Wei WuXian.

( ‘...You’re cute...’ )

Wei WuXian shakes his head of the unpleasant memory and puts on a laugh, taking a step back, ‘nothing, I swear! it was hard to hear anyway–‘

‘So you were eavesdropping!’ Jiang WanYin cuts in.

Wei WuXian scoffs and takes another step back, crossing his arms indignantly, ‘no I wasn’t!’

‘You just admitted that you were, idiot!’

‘Hey, don’t call me an idiot! I did no such thi–‘

A strangled gasp forces itself from Wei WuXian’s throat as he suddenly loses his footing. As he was backing up, he had forgotten the set of stairs behind him and wasn’t aware of how close to the edge he was. Before he could go tumbling down them, however, Lan WangJi was quick to catch him by wrapping an arm around his waist.

Wei WuXian blinks in surprise and looks up at Lan WangJi, his heart skipping at how close they are.

‘Are you alright?’ Lan WangJi asks.

‘O-Oh, yes… I’m okay,’ Wei WuXian stutters and Lan WangJi’s slides his arm away once Wei WuXian’s steady on his feet again. Wei WuXian finds himself missing the contact.

Jiang WanYin scoffs in disgust at the disappointed look on Wei WuXian’s face.

‘Ah, but Lan Zhan, you saved me! You’re my hero!’ Wei WuXian grins and pretends to swoon, batting his eyelashes at Lan WangJi.

Lan WangJi’s brows twitch and he looks away from Wei WuXian. Wei WuXian feels his mischievous grin widen at the reaction. Jiang WanYin face palms and sighs heavily in annoyance.

‘Wei… WuXian!’ growls Jiang WanYin and Wei WuXian’s eyes widen and he quickly darts down the stairs as Jiang WanYin chases after him. Lan WangJi doesn't even get the chance to tell them that running is prohibited as the two are suddenly off with Jiang WanYin chasing after a cackling Wei WuXian.

Lan WangJi shakes his head and heads back into the library and picks up the piece of paper Jiang WanYin was writing on and carefully folds it up and places it into his sleeve to give to Jiang WanYin later.

( ‘These are his favourite flowers,’ Lan WangJi says, holding out a drawing.

He likes these?’ Jiang WanYin mumbles.

Mn… if you give them to him, I know he’ll appreciate it.’

Jiang WanYin flushes and buries his face in his hands, his voice muffled, ‘Ugh, but what if you’re wrong? What if it all goes wrong?’

It will not. Everything will be fine.’

But how do you know?’

...He’s thinks you’re cute.’

Jiang WanYin stares at Lan WangJi in shock, his face going completely red.

H-How can you just tell me something like that with a straight face!’

Lan WangJi doesn’t respond and suddenly snaps his eyes over towards the doors, hearing a sound. )

Lan XiChen stares from a distance at Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi as the two make their way over to the gardens, looking deep in conversation.

‘Ah, ZeWu-Jun!’

Lan XiChen turns and sees Wei WuXian making his way over and gives him a polite smile. Wei WuXian grins back before he looks over and catches the sight of Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi and his grin falters slightly.

Lan XiChen looks back at his brother and Jiang WanYin and sees the two turn the corner together, Lan WangJi looking to be saying something to Jiang WanYin before they disappear out of view.

‘WangJi… you and Young Master Jiang have been spending a lot of time together,’ Lan XiChen comments, keeping his tone casual as he sits with his brother that evening.

‘Mn.’

Lan XiChen purses his lips as he watches Lan WangJi. He’s always been good at reading his brother but right now he’s finding it rather difficult to.

Lan XiChen’s hands curl against his knees, ‘have you and Young Master Jiang been talking about anything… interesting?’

Lan WangJi flicks his eyes up towards his brother.

‘...I’m afraid I can’t say, brother.’

Lan XiChen feels his face twitch before he plasters on a smile, ‘Ah... no worries WangJi.’

v |

Lan XiChen is quick to steady the person who just ran into him by holding them by the shoulders. His eyes widen in surprise when he sees the person is actually Jiang WanYin.

Jiang WanYin looks up at him and his own eyes widen in surprise and Lan XiChen raises a subtle eyebrow at the pink filling Jiang WanYin’s cheeks.

‘Ah… ZeWu-Jun, my apologies,’ Jiang WanYin apologises, ‘I wasn’t watching where I was going.’

Lan XiChen’s smiles even as his hands slip from Jiang WanYin’s shoulders when the boy takes a step back. He crosses his hands behind his back.

‘No need to apologise, Young Master Jiang.’

Jiang WanYin swallows and shifts in his spot, his hands also behind his back. Lan XiChen notices how twitchy the boy seems and that he seemed to be in a rush to get to somewhere before he ran into Lan XiChen.

‘Were you in a rush to go somewhere?’ Lan XiChen asks, flicking his eyes over Jiang WanYin.

Jiang WanYin flushes more, ‘n-no, I was actually trying to look for someone...’

‘Oh, who? If you don’t mind me asking.’

‘I… it was...’ Jiang WanYin swallows again and stares up at Lan XiChen, seemingly getting more flustered and twitchy the longer he stares at him and the Jade Twin tilts his head in confusion.

‘I was looking for...’ Jiang WanYin sucks in a sharp breath before his eyes flick behind Lan XiChen, ‘I-I was looking for Lan WangJi!’

Lan XiChen blinks, ‘WangJi..?’ he mutters and turns and sees Lan WangJi up ahead.

‘Y-Yes, I was looking for him. Please excuse me, ZeWu-Jun,’ Jiang WanYin excuses himself with a short bow before quickly making his way over to where Lan WangJi is and its then that Lan XiChen catches sight of an Azalea in his hands, a flower Lan XiChen has grown fond of himself.

He must be giving it to WangJi…, Lan XiChen thinks to himself, seeing Jiang WanYin reach his brother and he turns and walks off, his head bowed and brows twitching.

WangJi doesn’t even like Azalea’s…

Lan XiChen kicks a small unsuspecting rock.

( ‘...Why do you still have it?’

I panicked and couldn’t bring myself to give it to him! His smile was just so… so… argh!’

...’

Don’t look at me like that, Lan WangJi!’ )

vi |

‘Where are you going?’ Wei WuXian asks as he sees Jiang WanYin put on his boots and head towards the door.

‘I’m meeting up with Lan WangJi.’

At the sound of the name, Wei WuXian shoots up on the bed, ‘Lan Zhan? Why are you meeting with him?’

‘Mind your business, Wei WuXian!’

Jiang WanYin exits the room, slamming the door behind him. Wei WuXian huffs in annoyance, glaring at the door

Off to see Lan Zhan again, I haven’t been able to get any time with him because Jiang Cheng is always with him! So unfair…

Wei WuXian collapses back on his bed with an angry huff.

Jiang sits up straighter in his seat, stretching out his back after having been hunched over his desk doing his work. He glances over at the table next to him and rolls his eyes when he sees Wei WuXian not even doing his work, whether that be because he’s already done it or because he simply could not be bothered to do it. Wei WuXian stares admiringly at Lan WangJi’s back with his head propped up by his hand.

A gust of wind blows through the room and causes Lan WangJi’s hair and the ends of his forehead ribbon to flow behind him and Wei WuXian’s nose twitches at the scent of sandalwood. He sits up slightly and stares wide eyed at the flowing ends of Lan WangJi’s forehead ribbon.

The ends slightly tickle the skin of Wei WuXian’s cheeks and he lifts his hand and places his hand under the ribbons, the material soft against his palm as they fall onto his hand. As the wind settles down, the ends of the ribbon slowly slide from Wei WuXian’s hand and he can feel his breath catch in his chest, his cheeks flushed as he stares at the palm of his hand.

Jiang WanYin raises an eyebrow at the scene before he rolls his eyes at the look on Wei WuXian’s face and turns back to his work.

( ‘What’s the meaning behind the forehead ribbons?’

Lan WangJi looks over at Jiang WanYin as the two make their way through the gardens together.

The meaning behind them is to regulate oneself,’ Lan WangJi starts, folding his hands behind him as they walk, ‘no one else can touch it, only when you meet and fall in love with your fated person will this restriction be unnecessary.’

Jiang WanYin’s eyes suddenly widen, ‘fated person?!’ he chokes out.

Lan WangJi raises an eyebrow at his reaction, ‘yes.’

Jiang WanYin looks towards the ground and thinks back to yesterday during their lessons, the ends of Lan WangJi’s forehead sliding against the palm of Wei WuXian’s palm.

He decides that maybe its best he doesn’t tell Lan WangJi about that. )

viii |

( ‘Wei Ying likes spicy food and by that, I mean that he likes a lot of spice, an unbearable amount in face.’

Lan WangJi blinks as he stares at where Jiang WanYin is writing down the advice he had just given him.

...Excuse me?’

Jiang WanYin snorts, ‘I’m not blind, ya know?’

...’ )

Lan XiChen wonders into the kitchen after having seen a faint light coming from the building as he was patrolling the area and he pauses when he sees Lan WangJi over at the stove and raises an eyebrow.

Lan XiChen sees the subtle jolt in Lan WangJi’s shoulders when his brother looks over and sees him.

‘Brother...’

Lan XiChen smiles at the slightly guilty look on Lan WangJi’s face and walks over to him, peering down into the pan that his brother is cooking on. He blinks at the food sizzling away, the colour a fiery red one and the strong scent of spice fills his nose.

Lan XiChen flicks his eyes over towards Lan WangJi. He knows his brothers taste for food is more on the mild side, so why is it so… red..?

Ah.

Lan XiChen feels his fingers twitch, remembering hearing at the YunmengJiang Sect tended to have dishes that were spicy, not the bland and tasteless (Wei WuXian’s words) that the Gusu Lan Sect provides.

‘...Is this for Young Master Jiang?’

Lan WangJi’s furrows his brows in confusion and looks over at his brother, opening his mouth to respond but Lan XiChen is already smiling at him and patting him on the shoulder.

‘No need to worry, WangJi. I won’t tell Uncle, I’m sure… Young Master Jiang will appreciate it.’

Lan XiChen turns and walks out of the kitchen, his smile diminishing once he’s outside.

It’s strange though… that looked to be a lot of spice and I thought I once overheard Young Master Wei say that Jiang Cheng can’t handle that much spice…

Maybe he heard wrong.

( ‘...Please give this to Wei Ying.’

Jiang WanYin scoffs, ‘and you judged me for chickening out on giving Lan XiChen the Azalea!’

...’

Christ, he sure does have such a terrifying cold glare… )

ix |

‘Hm?’ Wei WuXian shoots up from the bed once Jiang WanYin places a tray down on the table, filled with ceramic bowls. He completely forgets to ask who was just at the door.

He kneels down in front of the table and sniffs the air when Jiang WanYin removes the lids of the bowls and the strong spicy scent has his mouth watering.

‘Jiang Cheng, did you have someone sneak this in for me? Ahhh, how sweet, you do love me!’

Jiang WanYin straightens up and walks over to the sliding doors where their shared room is and pulls on door open.

‘Lan WangJi made it for you,’ he states and walks into their temporary room, sliding the door closed behind him.

Wei WuXian stares at the closed door in stunned silence.

‘...Eh?’

‘Brother, these are for you.’

Lan XiChen turns and smiles warmly when he sees Lan WangJi holding out a purple vase filled with Azalea’s and he takes them from him.

‘Oh, thank you WangJi–‘

‘They’re from Jiang Cheng,’ Lan WangJi states casually and turns and leaves his stunned brother behind,

‘...S-Sorry?’

x |

Wei WuXian storms his way over towards where Lan WangJi and Jiang WanYin are, his fists clenched beside his sides.

He’s had enough. He can no longer go on seeing Lan WangJi and Jiang WanYin spend so much time together and be kept in the dark about what’s going on between them.

‘That’s it! Tell me right now what is going on between you two!’ he explodes and Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi startle and look over at him.

‘Yes, I would like to know as well,’ comes a more calmer voice and Wei WuXian turns and sees Lan XiChen approach.

‘What, uh, what do you mean?’ Jiang WanYin asks nervously.

Wei WuXian clenches his jaw, ‘don’t play dumb with me, Jiang Cheng! Why are you spending so much time with Lan Zhan? What could you two possibly have so much to talk about?!’

Jiang WanYin’s face flushes and Lan WangJi downcasts his eyes and Lan XiChen sees a hint of pink on the tip of his ears and narrows his eyes in suspicion.

Jiang WanYin and Lan WangJi share a look with each other, seemingly debating what to say.

Well?!’ Wei WuXian asks impatiently.

‘Jiang WanYin has something to tell, Brother,’ Lan WangJi says and pushes Jiang WanYin towards Lan XiChen.

Jiang WanYin looks up at Lan XiChen in shock, his face flushing at the close proximity and he sends a glare towards Lan WangJi.

‘W-Well, Lan WangJi has something to tell Wei Ying!’ he says and pushes Lan WangJi towards Wei WuXian.

Jiang WanYin’s push was much more forceful than Lan WangJi’s and it causes Lan WangJi to nearly stumble into Wei WuXian if it wasn’t for Wei WuXian’s hands shooting out and stopping his fall by grabbing his waist.

From how close they are, Wei WuXian can see Lan WangJi’s ears flush pink and his heart skips a beat.

Lan XiChen glances between Lan WangJi and Jiang WanYin who are currently glaring at each other and clears his throat.

‘Tell us what?’

‘Yeah, Lan Zhan what did you want to tell me?’ Wei WuXian asks, his voice slightly eager as he stares at the boy.

Lan WangJi and Jiang WanYin flush more and Jiang WanYin stammers out a few unintelligible words while Lan WangJi continues to be closed lipped, seemingly unable to form any words either.

Lan XiChen and Wei WuXian raise an eyebrow at the two and share a look with each other.

‘Well?’ prompts Lan XiChen.

‘...Jiang WanYin came to me asking for advice on how to… court you,’ Lan WangJi blurts out.

Jiang WanYin whips his head around, gaping at him, ‘you–!’

Wei WuXian lets out a, ‘what?! Pfft— hahahahaha!

Lan XiChen flushes red and he snaps his head towards Jiang WanYin who meets his eyes and his own widen, face turning bright red.

‘Is that true?’ Lan XiChen asks, staring at Jiang WanYin.

‘Well… I… I mean… I just – shut up, Wei WuXian!’

Jiang WanYin glares at his still laughing brother and Lan XiChen feels his lips twitch in amusement at Jiang WanYin’s flushed face.

Jiang WanYin groans and runs his hands down his face, ‘Okay fine! Yes, I asked Lan WangJi for… advice about… you.’

Lan XiChen feels his breath catch and he stares wide eyed at Jiang WanYin.

‘B-But, Lan WangJi also has a crush on Wei Ying!’ Jiang WanYin says, pointing a finger at Lan WangJi who goes still.

That causes Wei WuXian to stop laughing and he looks at Lan WangJi with wide eyes.

‘L-Lan Zhan… is that true?’

Lan WangJi swallows as the pink on his ears reach his cheeks and he sends a quick glare towards Jiang WanYin before he straightens up and looks back at Wei WuXian.

He gives a small nod, ‘mn...’

Wei WuXian’s eyes widen before a wide grin breaks out on his face, ‘Oh, Lan Zhan!’

Lan WangJi easily catches Wei WuXian as the boy throws himself into Lan WangJi’s arms and Jiang WanYin groans at the sight.

Lan XiChen smiles at his brother and Wei WuXian before turning back to Jiang WanYin. Jiang WanYin nervously meets his eyes, fidgeting in his spot.

Lan XiChen smiles softly at him and Jiang WanYin feels his heart race, glancing down with wide eyes as Lan XiChen reaches forward and grabs his hand.

‘X-XiChen–‘

Jiang WanYin is cut off by Lan XiChen swooping down and pressing his lips to his. Jiang WanYin’s eyes widen before they slip closed and he kisses him back.

( ‘Wei WuXian, I don’t want to see that shit!’

Wei WuXian pulls away from Lan WangJi, their lips separating.

Then close your eyes, Jiang Cheng.’

You–!’

Wei WuXian laughs gleefully as he jumps off Lan WangJi’s lap and runs away from Jiang WanYin as he begins to chase him. The two Twin Jades watching with fond amusement, not even bothering to tell their partners these no running in the Cloud Recesses. )
