Jiang Cheng just breaks. He just wants more. The world has gone fuzzy and black at the edges. He can only really focus on how badly he wants, he wants, he wants it.
Dimly, he hears himself babble, "I’m sorry, A-Ling, I’m so sorry, you’re right, please – please!”
Jin Ling kisses his temple, gentle after everything. Asks, “What do you want, jiujiu?”
Jiang Cheng meets his eyes, sees the self-righteous anger and desire there, mixed. Most of all, though, he sees deep, unshakeable love, and something in his chest loosens enough so he can be brave.

The one on the left laughs once more, “How? Your qi is sealed, you’re weaponless, and we took your tools with your robes. You’re defenseless, Jiang Cheng.” Jiang Cheng can hear the sneer in his voice as he uses his birth name, mocking. It makes his blood boil. It makes him feel helpless. There is nothing he can do here, and he is scared. For himself and for Jin Ling.
He grits his teeth, letting the anger show and pushing down the terror, wishing in that moment that he’d learned a thing or two from Jin Guangyao. The man may have been a snake but he had certainly known how to hide a weapon, “I will find. A. Way.” He growls, voice low and threatening.
His threats have no effect, of course, because he has nothing to back them up, no way to follow through. Their captors know as well as he does that they have the upper hand here. Things are looking pretty dire for the two of them.
The old one speaks again, “Well, until you do, there’s something you can do for us.” Jiang Cheng does not deign to ask, but the man continues anyway, “Fuck him.”
JC and JL are forced to have sex with each other.
