The sun was not Changbin's favorite thing in the morning. He only liked it when it lit up Hyunjin's golden skin beautifully, but seeing as the other man was not next to him, all he did was squint at the stupid bright yellow thing filtering through the blinds– it's way too fucking early.
(It was like ten in the morning, but whatever. He likes complaining in the mornings.)
He grumbled a little as he moved around in the sheets, wrapping the blanket tighter around him at the sudden cold from the fan overhead. Where even was his boyfriend? Usually he'd be cuddled up next to him, but it seemed annoyingly enough as if Hyunjin had decided to be a morning person all of sudden.
He contemplated yelling for him to come back, but decided to take mercy on Chan's dorm right next door just this once, rolling out of bed with a sigh and not even bothering to put on a shirt before he pulled the door open and stepped out.
It was a lazy morning, yesterday they had their official last performance of the year at Gajo Daejeon, and had shocked everyone with the new hair colors– he snickered again thinking of how surprised their stays were at seeing Hyunjin's buzzcut. No one had expected it and he hadn't told anyone other than Changbin.
(Call it boyfriend privileges if you want. Changbin sucked the soul out of him before he admitted it in the middle of a sleepy sex haze that he wanted to cut it all off, but hadn't regretted it afterwards. Changbin was proud of him.)
A tiny smile made it onto his face when he finally spotted him in the kitchen. Hyunjin was dressed in underwear and one of his dress shirts, falling onto his shoulders and outlining his silhouette beautifully, making it easy for Changbin to grab his waist when he was close enough.
"You're up early, since when are you a morning person, baby?" He asked, pressing a teasing kiss to the back of his head. The fuzzy hairs felt weird, he still wasn't used to it– but Hyunjin was Hyunjin, so of course he looked hot regardless.
His boyfriend turned around with a grin, giving him a quick peck as he scrambled the eggs. "Wanted to surprise you with breakfast. Why'd you get out of bed?"
Changbin leant forward, hooking his chin over his shoulder. "Missed having you in my arms, of course." He dramatically replied, pressing kisses down his neck and wrapping arms around him.
Hyunjin laughed loudly. "You're such a fucking sap– get away before I burn the eggs!"
"But darling," he whined back, sneakily turning down the heat on the stove so he could turn Hyunjin around and push him against it. "Don't you want me to kiss you?"
Hyunjin slid his arms around Changbin's neck, a tired but soft look in his eyes. "You're insufferable."
"And you're hot." He replied back, cheekily grinning. "This new look is making me go feral– let me have my moments!"
Hyunjin snorted, drawing him closer until he could properly kiss him on the lips and grab Changbin by his hips. "And what about breakfast?"
Changbin let himself be walked backwards until Hyunjin had him pressed against the counter, cupping his waist. "Don't worry… I'll have mine right now."
Before Hyunjin could respond to his bad joke Changbin pulled him in for another kiss, cradling the back of his head. "Your new hair is actually so–" he couldn't even put it in words, groaning in the middle of his sentence.
"It just makes me want to make out with you constantly."
Hyunjin smiled against his lips, tightening his arms. "Well I'm not stopping you– we can order in anyway."
Changbin laughed, pulling him in further and not holding back anymore as he blindly led them back to the bedroom to do exactly as he said, no matter how many times Chan called his phone to complain about them being too loud.

The rest of the day was spent lazily making out on the couch, watching series and playing games with Hyunjin, even if he didn't understand half of them anyway. He loved him too much to say no.
The others had come by for visits in between but everyone had retired to their own dorms mostly to rest for much needed breaks after the hectic year they had behind them.
Hyunjin stretched on the couch, shirt riding up to reveal his abs slightly as he put his hands behind his head. "I can't believe the year is over– it went by so fucking fast."
Changbin nodded from where he was slumped against his chest, idly running hands up and down his thigh. "Three comebacks and half a world tour– literally feels like yesterday that rockstar even ended. We got so much bigger this year too."
Hyunjin hummed in agreement, playing with his hair mindlessly as the TV played a rerun of an old show.
"Binnie?"
Changbin raised his head, eyebrows raised in question as Hyunjin bit his lip in thought.
"What do you actually think of my new hair?" He asked softly, making Changbin frown a little.
Despite that, he answered teasingly. "Do I need to get on your lap again to show you how much I like it?"
A blush rose to Hyunjin's cheeks as he laughed and swatted at his arm, pulling him a bit closer. "I know you like it you horndog– but what are your thoughts?"
Changbin assessed him carefully, noticing the way his eyes had a glimmer of doubt in them. His boyfriend needed reassurance from the people around him sometimes, even as sure as he was of himself.
"How do you feel about it?"
Hyunjin pursed his mouth in thought, still running fingers down his naked back slowly and making him shiver.
"It feels freeing." He finally answered. "Like starting over right before new years– like I get to choose who I am and what I can do again this time around."
Changbin's smile was soft at his honest answer. His boyfriend was so heartfelt. It only made him fall harder.
"I love it for that reason exactly." He murmured, kissing him again. "Aside from how hot it looks on you– it makes you happy. It's definitely new, but it's a good change. I'm proud of you– aside from frothing at the mouth at your looks."
Hyunjin let out a snort but his eyes were filled with adoration, pulling Changbin closer and nuzzling his neck in gratitude. "Thank you, baby. I love you."
Changbin hugged him back, melting in his grip. "I love you more."
"And you actually find it hot, you're not just saying that–"
"I literally want to slam you against every wall I see!" Changbin cut him off, exasperated as he laughed. "Baby, seriously– I love your new look. I love you in general but the buzzed head is making me feel things I haven't felt since you cut it short for maxident– seriously. "
Hyunjin was so perfect, smiling cutely with his eyes crinkled like that. Changbin loved him.
"I love you too." He murmured.
Changbin hummed, nuzzling his neck again. "How much, exactly?"
Hyunjin snickered as if he expected his rebuttal, flipping him onto his back. "You haven't had enough yet?"
Changbin shook his head, flirty grin on his face. "From you? Never."
"Chan is gonna murder us." Hyunjin sighed out, but was already getting set on kissing down Changbin's chest.
"As if he's any better since Felix dyed his hair back to black– oh my god."
Hyunjin had a shit eating grin as he bit his thigh again, squeezing their linked hands. "I think Seungmin and Jeongin are the only ones who are allowed to complain right now."
Changbin hummed. "Agreed. Now less talking, more loving, Hwang."
Hyunjin huffed, but he couldn't deny him anything the same way Changbin did everything he asked.
Hyunjin's blonde head glimmered in the sun as the rest of the day was spent perfectly according to Changbin's wishes– and maybe it wasn't such a bad thing in the sky, after all.
