Chapter Text

Baratie Tavern is the most popular tavern in Komugi Kingdom. Beside having good food and good rental rooms, it is also home of Sanji, the adopted son of Redleg Zeff, the chef and owner of the tavern, and Zoro; Sanji’s husband.

Recently Sanji gave birth to his first child, which they named Kuina, however the labor was complicated and Sanji almost died. Doctor Trafalgar had ordered Sanji to strictly bed rest until he was allowed to move. In order words, he was unable to nurse his child. 

Though they don't have enough to hire someone to help, Luffy, Sanji’s omega friend, has offered himself to be the baby’s wet nurse until Sanji is well enough to nurse him.

“Sanji, I've already fed Kuina and I put her to sleep in the nursery.” Luffy said to Sanji

Luffy was a young male omega. He lived in a small but humble cottage in the Komugi Woods. Luffy was found by Sanji and Zeff on the shores of a river when they were young. He was unconscious and severely wounded when they took him to their caravan and after he woke up, Luffy had no memories of his past. They only knew his name because the omega had a locket with his name written on it. Luffy’s amnesia never really bothered him; his only focus was his present and his future.

“Thank you so much Luffy. I can't thank you enough for doing this.” Sanji said, smiling.

Luffy had a special condition that allowed him to produce milk without being pregnant. Sanji wasn't the first person he had helped; Luffy had also helped Father Kuma to nurse some babies in the orphanage until they were old enough for solid food. The young omega was very loved by the kids of the orphanage.

“We're friends Sanji, just focus on getting better. I know Kuina misses her mama.” Luffy smiles back. “I gotta go now. Tomorrow I'll come back after breakfast. I already gave Zeff some bottles in case Kuina needs them during the night.”

With that Luffy leaves the tavern. It has been almost eight weeks since Luffy had started nursing Kuina. Sanji has been less weak and pale since then. The dark haired omega hoped his best friend would be able to nurse Kuina himself soon.

Luffy noticed there were more knights in Castle Town than usual. He found this very odd. Then, Luffy found on his way Zoro, Sanji’s alpha husband and one of the kingdom's knights.

“Hey Zoro, what's going on?” the omega asked

“Hey Luffy. We're looking for Princess Anana. She 's missing.”

Princess Anana is the youngest princess of the Charlotte family, the royals who rule the kingdom. Zoro asked Luffy if he finds out anything, he should contact him right away. Luffy nodded before parting their own ways. 

On the way to his cottage, Luffy felt something was odd in the air. With his instincts up, Luffy went to stealth mode. He could feel a wicked presence in the woods. Against better judgment, Luffy decided to follow this wicked presence. Luffy hid behind the trees when he saw a campfire. In the campfire he saw a group of three men and a small little girl. The little girl was tied and gagged and from her scent, Luffy felt she was terrified.

“Heh, Do you think Dogtooth will meet our demands ?” one of the men asked.

“Hah, he better do it, or else something bad might happen to his baby sister.” The other man smirked, putting the knife to the girl's face.

The girl whimpered in fear.

Luffy gritted his teeth in anger. Then, he felt something with a point touching his back. Luffy saw an man’s face beside him, licking his cheek. From his scent, it was another alpha.

“Don’t move sweetheart, unless you want to stain your pretty body with your own blood.” his breath smells like rotten alcohol.

Luffy can’t help but smirk; he will be stained with blood but it’s not going to be his own. He loves arrogant alphas who underestimate omegas a lot. That’s a flaw all the alphas like that one share.

The group whirled around when they heard a scream. Luffy came out from the trees, holding a dagger in his hand, his clothes and face were stained with blood. He looked at the bandit with a jaded expression in his eyes. The bandits all were pointing their knives at him.

“Who the fuck are you?!” 

“This smell, you gotta be joking. An omega?”

“Ah, easy prey then. It's been a while my dick touched an omega skin.”

Luffy ignored their vulgar and sexist comments. He only looked at the tied little girl.

“You’re Anana, aren’t you? Please, close your eyes. I will finish it in a minute.” He said.

Anana did what she was told and closed her eyes. The moment she did. Luffy quickly rushed to one of the bandits and cut his throat.

“You bastard!” one of the bandits screamed behind him,

Luffy dodged the attack and stabbed right where the bandit’s heat hit him as he stole his knife to stab the eye of the other bandit. Luffy groaned in pain as that bandit stabbed a knife into his belly. Luffy removed his knife from the bandit’s eye and stabbed it into his neck, killing the last bandit instantly.

Luffy was panting as he went to the little girl. The girl yelped as she opened her eyes and saw it was the omega. Luffy smiled at her. 

“You’re going to be ok. I'm going to take you home.” Luffy tenderly whispered to her while cutting her binds, 

The girl cried as she put her arms around his neck. Even with a knife still in his belly, Luffy carried the little girl into his arms. He knew he had to find Zoro to take the little princess back to her family. Luffy was only able to walk thanks to adrenaline. When he reached back to the town, he smiled  when he saw Zoro.

“Hey Zoro,” Luffy smiled as he put the princess on the ground. “I found the princes…..”

Luffy fainted from the blood loss, unable to hear Zoro and the princess’s concerned voices before everything went black.

Luffy slowly opens his eyes, his bleary vision makes it hard to make out where he is at. He lets his eyes focus before he tries to move, but his body feels stuck. He looks down to find himself wrapped in  a thick blanket, he also notices bandages are warping his torso.

“Where am I?” His voice is hoarse. 

“You’re in my hospital.” Luffy turned around and saw Law, the town’s doctor. “You’re lucky that the knife didn’t stab any vital organ or cause more damage when you fainted. Good thing you listened to me when I explained why you should never remove a blade without any medical knowledge or else you wouldn’t be talking right now.” 

It may not look like but Luffy can be a good listener when he wants to be. Survival tips are one of them, especially when they come from a doctor.

“And the princess?” Luffy asked.

“She’s fine. A bit frightened but no harm happened to her. And you have a visitor.”

A visitor? Luffy thought it was Zoro or Zeff to visit him since Sanji was still in bed rest. When the door opened, he saw a huge man in royal clothes, wearing a scarf hiding the lower part of his face. That man was Katakuri, the ruler of Komugi Kingdom. Luffy almost gasped with his own saliva when he saw the kingdon’s sovereign.

“I will leave you alone. And your majesty, Luffy is still recovering, don’t push him too much.”

Katakuri nodded before Law leaving the room. The king sat down on a chair beside Luffy's bed. Luffy could feel the king’s scent; it smelled like freshly baked caramel. His presence was omnipresent and at the same time very calm. It was the first time he felt this kind of presence from an alpha, especially a royal one.

“Firstly I want to thank you for rescuing my sister. She was worried about you after you fainted. You were unconscious for almost four days.”

“Four days?!” Luffy exclaimed. Then, he groaned in pain when he felt his wound stinging him. “What about Sanji and Kuina?”

“Don’t worry about them. Sir Zoro told me about their situation and how you were helping them as a wet nurse for their daughter. I hired someone else to help them while you’re recovering. Sanji didn’t want the person I hired since he and Zoro fully trust you with the care of their baby. Doctor Trafalgar had to convince them since Sanji still needs more time to recover before he can start to nurse their daughter.”

Luffy sighs in relief; at least Kuina will not starve while he’s out.

“And Secondly, I want to hire you to be our wet nurse.”

Luffy blinked in confusion; what did he just say? The omega thought he had misheard him. The king started to explain that a couple of days ago his sister, Chiffon, gave birth to her son, Pez. However, something went wrong and his sister ended up dying during childbirth, leaving his baby nephew an orphan. And because of his sister´s passing, the castle's security was a mess and the bandits took the opportunity of the chaos to kidnap Anana and send a ransom demand.

“Even though you are an omega, you defeated four bandits, who were male alphas, with ease. My sister, Anana, never got attached to anyone, not even to the nannies who took care of her since birth. But she got attached to you. The knights had a hard time separating her from you when they took you to the hospital. I need someone trustworthy to take care of my sister and my nephew. And that someone is you.”

Luffy could feel his cheeks blushing; he felt very flattered that the king thought so highly of him. Even with the pain, Luffy rose to a sitting  position while looking at the king. 

“Your Majesty, I'm really flattered but why me? You have the power and money to hire a professional wet nurse since you did hire one for Sanji and Zoro.”

“Indeed I could have hired someone else, but I want you. I don’t know any omega who could take down four alpha men and still carry a child while having a knife in their belly. I want this strength to protect my sister and nephew.”

Once again he blushed. He never thought of an alpha, a king no less, admiring his strength. Usually a lot of people would frown upon an omega who does not act like a stereotype omega. 

Luffy and Sanji are very different omegas, they can kick any alpha asses with their own strength, not expecting anyone to save them, only relying on themselves. They are very thankful for Zeff teaching them how to fight and how to defend themselves since the world is cruel to omegas. They use their second gender as a weapon against alphas, since many of them look down on them.

“Can I think about it?” Luffy asks shyly 

Katakuri nodded. He helped Luffy lay back down on the bed before leaving the room. Luffy sighed; what he could do in this situation?

A few days later, Luffy was finally able to be discharged from the hospital, but Law urged him to take it easy for a few more days. Luffy took advantage of these days off to talk to Zoro, Sanji and Zeff about his situation. He was able to meet the wetnurse that King Katakuri hired for Sanji and Zoro, it was a girl named Kaya. Luffy always had a good sixth sense and he could sense Kuina was in good hands. It was enough for Sanji to trust Kaya with his baby. After talking about his situation, Sanji encourages him to accept King Katakuri's offer.

“Are you sure?” Luffy asks, 

“Yes, I’m sure. Since you sensed Kuina is in good hands with Kaya, I’m ok for you to go. I’ve always felt bad for using you all time and not paying anything, Luffy.” The omega blond said. “And Doctor Trafalgar told me that I will be able to nurse Kuina myself in a couple of weeks.”

Zoro agrees with his husband. He also adds being a worker for the royal family has a lot of advantages. One of them being able to live in the castle, free food and a lot of security. Zoro also adds that the Charlotte Family treats their employees well, respecting them regardless of their class or gender. Zoro admits he doesn’t feel good knowing Luffy lives in the woods by himself. He almost died after being stabbed by one of those bandits after saving Princess Anana from the bandits.

Luffy hates to admit it but Zoro is right; the woods are not safe anymore. And after hearing good things about the royal family, Luffy decides to work for them. At least for now.

After being fully recovered, Luffy walked towards Komugi Castle, towards the next page of his life.

It's been almost two weeks since Luffy started to work for the Charlotte Family at Komugi castle. In that period of time, Luffy met the royal members of the family;

King Charlotte Katakuri: though he’s the king and an alpha, he shows respect to everyone, no matter what social class you belong to. He’s the oldest of the Charlotte siblings

Prince Charlotte Cracker; the second old sibling. Like his older brother, he’s also an alpha. He’s responsible for the health of the horses . He’s the leader of the royal cavalry. He has a war horse named Biscuit. 

Princess Charlotte Brûlée : The oldest princess and a beta. She is responsible for managing the castle's workers.  

Princess Charlotte Pudding : the second princess and an omega. Even though she is young, Pudding is responsible for managing events of the castle like birthdays, baptisms and balls. 

Prince Charlotte Wiro: the youngest prince of the family. He loves to pull pranks on new staff members and drives Branch crazy because of this. His second gender still has yet to be shown yet and Brûlée is his main caregiver.

Princess Charlotte Anana: The youngest princess. Luffy finds out Anana is deaf after Brûlée had told him that she had lost her hearing after a bad fever when she was a toddler. Because of the hearing loss, she never got attached to anyone until now. Anana can read lips but she cried when Luffy showed he knows sign language. She’s been following Luffy like a duckling who follows their mother since then.

Prince Charlotte Pez:  The baby of the family. Unfortunately his mother Chiffon died during childbirth. His father, Bege, died when he and his unity were defending the borders from an enemy kingdom. He’s Luffy’s main responsibility.

After breastfeeding Pez, Luffy puts the baby on his shoulder and he gently pats him on the back.

“Come on Pez, I know you can do it.”

After a minute the baby finally burped. Luffy smiled as he cuddled the baby, telling him he was a champ. The baby happily smiles before falling asleep in his caregiver’s arms. 

Noticing the baby was asleep, Luffy put Pez on his crib. He kissed his forehead and whispered goodnight to him. Then, he turned his attention to Anana, who was frowning at him, with her little arms wrapping around her plushie bunny.

“Why can’t I sleep with you in the nursery?” Anana signed, annoyed, “ It's not fair Pez has you all to himself.”

Luffy knelt, loot at Anana with a soft smile in his face,

“You know It's inappropriate, Anana. Besides, Pez's a baby and he needs more attention, especially now with his mama is in heaven. I know it's difficult for you not to be the youngest anymore.” Luffy signed back.

Anana frowned even more, hugging her plushie even tighter. Ever since Pez was born, her older siblings didn’t give her as much attention as before. After her kidnapping incident, her older siblings had to focus on the castle’s security for nothing like this to ever happen again. Wiro kinda tried his best, but his sign was very bad and he had more tutoring seasons with his tutor, Mrs Robin and he had to clean the stables by himself as a punishment for a prank he did on Luffy in the royal bathroom. Luffy was all she had.

“But being not the youngest anymore it’s not  a bad thing. You can be a big sister to Pez.” Luffy signed,

That caught Anana’s attention; a big sister? Luffy started to encourage her, telling her that being a big sister, she could do things she wouldn't be able to do as a baby sister. She could teach Pez how to sign, exchange secrets and even teach him how to read lips. Anana was amazed; she didn’t think about the possibility of teaching Pez things she knew.

Luffy gently picked her up and he signed he couldn’t sleep with her in her room but he would tell her a story for her to sleep and she would be the one to pick which story he should tell. Anna shyly asked for Cinderella.  He was lucky Anana's room is next to Pez’s nursery.

When Anana slept in the middle of the story, Luffy quietly left her room. Since it was a bit early for him to sleep, Luffy decided to go to the kitchen for a quick snack before going back to the nursery.

He hoped someone from the kitchen staff was there, so that way he could ask them to do a night snack and maybe a tea. When he came out from his thoughts, he blinked; where was he?

“I am not recognizing this place.”

Luffy wasn’t still used to the castle’s layout yet. He was usually accompanied by Nami; one of the castle’s maids, in their daily duties and because of that he didn’t pay much attention to his surroundings. He decided to walk around, hoping to find his way back, but he ended up even more lost than before.  

“Why does every corridor look the same?!” Luffy whined; he shouldn’t have left the nursery.

Luffy stops his tracks when he sees a pair of giant doors. Driven by curiosity, Luffy opens the doors and finds himself in a large hall. Luffy is amazed by the place; that hall was a ballroom.

“If you want to dance, then dance my boy.”

Luffy blinked in confusion; what was that? Then, he started to see people in the ballroom; people he didn’t know. Then, he started to hear a soft melody in his head. He didn’t know why, but he had the urge to dance. He stood on tiptoe after taking off his shoes, then he danced. He danced as he followed the rhythm of the music in his mind. 

He was so deep in his thoughts while dancing Luffy didn’t notice King Katakuri was on the doorway, watching him dancing. The king was mesmerized; Luffy danced so beautifully, it was like he was watching a ballet piece right there.

Taking one last spin, Luffy finally realized he wasn't alone in the hall; the king was on the door way, watching everything.

“Ah! King Katakuri!” Luffy tripped over his own foot. Katakuri caught him before he fell to the floor.

The two exchanged their gazes for a brief moment. Luffy was blushed in embarrassment; his face was red as a tomato.

“I-Im sorry, your majesty!” Luffy pulled himself together while bowing to the king. “I don't know what came over me!”

“Don’t be. Your dance was wonderful.” Katakuri said, smiling behind his scarf.  “Were you a professional dancer?”

Luffy blinks in confusion; was he a dancer? He isn’t sure. Luffy tells the king he isn’t sure; he admits to him he suffers from amnesia and he doesn’t remember anything before he was thirteen. 

“Zeff and Sanji found me at the end of the shores of the Charon River. I was badly hurt when they took me in, with no memories of who I was. I only knew my name because of his locket.” Luffy says, showing his golden locket.

Katakuri picked the locket; he could see the symbol of Nika and the omega’s name embedded in the locket. 

“Have you ever wondered about your past?”  Katakuri asked, as he gave Luffy his locket back.

“Sometimes” He admitted while putting his locket around his neck , “But I try to not focus on my past too much. My past is not my today. Besides, I am content with the things I have now.”

Then, he remembered something.

“Oh, by the way, your majesty, Kuina's baptism will be in a few days. Could I attend without any problems?”

“Oh, the daughter of Sir Zoro, right?” Luffy nodded “Of course you can. I will ask Nami to look after Anana and Pez for you while you attend the baptism.”

Luffy was happy to hear; He missed Kuina so much. She’s almost three months old, Luffy betted she might become bigger than the last time he saw her.

“By the way, why are you here in the ballroom?” The king asks, curious,

Luffy blushed, hiding his face in his hands, embarrassed; he admitted he got himself lost while he was on his way to the kitchen. Katakuri couldn’t help but chuckle at his misfortune; the castle was huge and it was very easy to get yourself lost if you didn't know the layout well.

“I can take you there.” He said

“I don't want to disturb you.” Luffy augmented 

“It is no problem. As a king, it's my duty to look after my people and my staff.”

As they left the ballroom, a young boy came out of his hiding place. He was grinning from ear to ear, not believing what he had witnessed.

“Oh boy! I can't wait to tell Big Brother Cracker about those two! ”

Prince Wiro was smiling like a mischievous fox.

Somewhere out there,  a lone figure was riding on a huge black horse. They were riding towards the Komugi Kingdom.

“Just a few more days, Sleipnir. Then, we can visit Lola.”

Chapter Text

Katakuri was in his study, checking the map of the realm. He looked closely at the currents of the Charon River on the map.

“Care to share a berrie of your thoughts, big brother?”

Katakuri looked up and saw his sister, Brûlée. The woman placed a mug of tea on his table and the king thanked his sister for the warm drink.

Brûlée asked what he was doing and why he was studying the maps so closely. Katakuri sighed; he told his sister about Luffy and how he was suffering from amnesia.

“He told me that Zeff and his friend, Sanji, had found him at the end of the shores of the Charon River when he was a kid. They must’ve found him around this area.” he said, pointing to an area of the map. “If we follow the river upstream, the river forms the border between three kingdoms.”

Brûlée frowned; the three kingdoms were Goa, Alabasta and Dressrosa. Alabasta was an ally kingdom since they formed a commercial alliance with them. Now Goa and Dressrosa were a different story; King Garp and their mother, the former queen Charlotte Linlin always had hated each other’s guts. In other words, they had a bloody history with them. The same thing for Dressrosa; Donquixote Doflamingo was their king and he was a very difficult person to deal with.  He was a prideful narcissist alpha and he believed everyone, even the royals from the other kingdoms should bow to him.

“And you believe Luffy might come from one of these kingdoms?” Brûlée comments. Katakuri nods to her. “Why are you doing this for him? You barely know him.”

The king had to agree with his sister; why was he helping an omega he barely knew? He wasn’t sure of himself but his inner alpha was telling him that he had to help Luffy in some way. Especially after he saved his little sister from those bandits.

“I believe Luffy will benefit from learning more about his past. He helped us so much, I wanted to do something for him.”

Brûlée didn’t say anything, just staring at her older brother in curiosity. Then, a gust of wind entered through the window and scattered the papers from the table to the floor. Brûlée bent down to pick up the papers for her brother when she noticed there was a drawing; a drawing of Luffy dancing.

They stared at each other briefly in an awkward silence, then Brûlée had a mischievous smile forming on her face.

“Oh, did spring finally arrive for you, brother?”

“Brûlée!!”

At Castle Town, Luffy arrives at the front of the church. He saw Zoro, Sanji and Zeff were already waiting for him there. Luffy smiled when he saw Kuina; she was so big! The three month baby smiled when she saw Luffy and she stretched out her little arms to reach one of her favorite people.

“Sanji, I am so glad to see you alright! “ Luffy smiled. Then he picked Kuina from Sanji’s arms “ Kuina! You’re so big!”

Luffy cuddled Kuina. The baby giggled in happiness for feeling the skin of her former wet nurse.

“I'm glad you could make it, Luffy.” Zoro smiled. Then, he frowned at the extra guests Luffy had brought with him. “But Why are these guys here? Especially the shaggy brat?”

The extra guests were Princess Anana, Prince Wiro and Prince Cracker. The royals were dressed in commoner clothes.

“I came here because I don’t wanna another baby hogging Luffy. ” Anana signed. Good thing Sanji and Zoro didn’t understand sign language,

“I came here because I wanted to meet Mosshead’s wondel husband.” Wiro said, smiling.

“I came here because I have to make sure Wiro doesn’t destroy the town,” Cracker added, frowning at his little brother.

Zoro nodded in agreement, knowing very well how Wiro's pranks can get out of control sometimes, especially when they were both Wiro’s main victims of his pranks at the castle.

“You wanted to meet Eggplant?” Zeff is surprised a kid wanted, especially a royal one, to meet his son. He doesn’t remember Sanji ever preparing food for Charlotte's family on any occasion. 

Wiro nodded in excitement,

“Oh yeah, Sanji’s food was so good! The smell, the spices, the taste. Everything you do is amazing! Your crusty rice balls are my favorite ones. I miss tasting your food after you gave birth to you kid,”

Zoro could feel an angry vein pulsing on his forehead. He growled at the young prince.

“So, was it you who was stealing my lunch box when I wasn’t looking?” Wiro gulped in fear when he saw an fiery and demoniac aura around Zoro; the knight was pissed, “I thought it was Ussop or Nami who were stealing my lunch box! I should’ve known it was you all along!”

Anana frowned at her brother with a disapproving look. Cracker face palmed in shame but not surprised to find out Wiro was stealing food from one of the strongest knights.

Before Zoro could do anything, Sanji stepped forward first. He smiled at Wiro as he put his hand on his shoulder.

“I feel honored you liked my food so much, Prince Wiro. My husband here has told me everything about you.” Then, a menacing aura covered Sanji. Even his eyes were glowing while smiling. “However, if I hear you've pranked my husband or stolen his lunch box again, I will ask Robin-chan to give you extra homework. I know where she lives and I bet she would love giving you extra homework if I ask her nicely.”

Wiro shivered in fear. He looked to his brother and Luffy for help but Cracker and his sister, Anana, were hiding behind Luffy; they were afraid of Sanji too. Ok, he 's doomed.

“But since you like my food so much, I can teach you some of my recipes. Especially the crunchy rice balls you like so much.”

Wait, was he serious? Wiro thought there was a catch. There was always a catch.

“However, you will not eat any of them. You’re going to give them all to my husband and his knight comrades for a month.”

Wiro’s jaw dropped in shock.

“What?!” Wiro shouted in shock. “You can’t do that!”

“He can’t but I can.” Cracker nodded in agreement. “You're going to do it, Wiro. No complaints, unless you want me to tell Katakuri, Brûlée and Mrs Robin about your thefts.” Prince Cracker said, folding his arms.

With no choice, Wiro had to declare himself defeated. There was no way he wanted Katakuri and Brûlée to know about his thefts.

“Ehehe, what a lively group I have here today.”

They all turned around and Luffy smiled; It was Priest  Kuma. Luffy introduced Priest Kuma to the royals, he was the priest of the town’s Church of Nika and the headmaster of the orphanage. He was also the one who taught Luffy sign language.

“It's been a while, my son. The children from the orphanage missed you very much.” Kuma said, smiling.

Luffy couldn't help but smile back.

“I miss them, too. I hope they’re behaving well. Especially Bonnie and Toko.”

“They’re waiting inside the church, they wanted to see you very badly.” the priest said, then, he looked at Kuina in Luffy’s arms. “And this must be the little angel who is going to be baptized today.”

The baby giggled when Kuma tickled her check. Sanji picked his daughter back into his arms and told Kuma her name is Kuina and she was the best baby in the town.

The group entered the church and the baptism went off without a hitch. The only incident was Kuina accidentally knocking Kuma's book over, the book ended up falling into the basin of water. Sanji was very embarrassed, while the rest just laughed at the situation.

After the baptism, they all settled in the church courtyard, having a small picnic to celebrate Kuina's baptism. Cracker finally understood why Wiro kept stealing Zoro’s lunch box; Sanji’s food was amazing and he couldn’t wait for Wiro to learn Sanji’s recipes.

And as for the children. Wiro and Bonnie hit right away, forming a very odd friendship, telling each other their best pranks. Zoro and Cracker were afraid that they were watching a devilish friendship just forming before and there was nothing they could do.

Toko, who was Anana’s age, also hit well with the princess. Toko was mute and she knew sign language, which surprised Anana greatly. She finally had someone around her age to talk to. She even declared to her older brothers she wanted Toko to be her maid in waiting. Cracker wasn’t sure what to say in this situation; he told her he would talk to Katakuri about Toko and wait to see if they can take her in.

Their little celebration was interrupted when three people entered the churchyard. They were Sachi, Penguin, and Bepo; Law’s assistants in his hospital. They all had a concerned look on their faces.

“Luffy! Thank goodness you’re here!” Sachi cried out.

“Guys, what’s the matter?” Luffy asks, confused.

The three of them exchanged gazes before Bepo answered that Law was missing. Law went to the woods along with Ikkaku, their apothecary, to collect some medical herbs and they still haven't returned yet.

“We would go to the woods if we could, but we have patients in the hospital.” Penguin said. “And don't know the woods that well.

“But you know the woods better than anyone, Luffy. Please help us!” Sachi added.

Luffy frowned and asked Zeff and Sanji if they still had his hunting gear. Cracker was astonished, he was not planning to go to the woods by himself, was he. Luffy told the prince that he and everyone in the town owed Law their lives since he was the one who came up with a cure for the black plague that occurred eight years ago.

“I will go with you. There’s no way I will let you go to the woods by yourself” Cracker said.Then, he turned to Zoro “Zoro, can you and your husband take Wiro and Anana back to the castle and tell King Katakuri what is happening here?”

Zoro nodded. Anana and Wiro now had a concerned look on their faces. Luffy reassured them saying that they will just look for Law and come back. The omega didn’t tell anyone he had a bad feeling about the situation.

Inside of a cave in the woods, Law placed his hand over his mouth in hopes to not make any sounds that would allow the creature to find him. He tried to not make any sound as he heard a sickly crunchy sound.

Luffy and Cracker were in Komugi woods, looking for Ikkaku and Law. Cracker was surprised to see Luffy knowing how to track and how to use the crossbow. Luffy told him he learned how to hunt thanks to Zeff after he was adopted by him.

Luffy and Cracker felt something was off. Then, they gasped in horror when something was thrown towards them; it was the head of a woman.

“Oh my God, Ikkaku?!” Luffy turned pale as Cracker vomited.

The trees fell after being pushed by a giant monster. The monster had the body of a lion, the head of a goat and a snake tail; it was a giant Chimera. They saw Law appearing through the trees, running towards them.

“Luffy-ya, RUN!”

It didn’t need to said twice for them to run. Cracker asked how in the hell a chimera appeared in their woods. Luffy shouted they need to get away from the monster without putting the town in danger.

“We need to lure that thing to Sulis Lake! I've heard that Chimeras can’t swim!” Law shouted.

Then, Cracker cried out in pain when his leg was caught in a bear trap. Before the chimera could attack, Luffy used his crossbow, hitting an arrow right in the monster’s right eye.

“Get me if you can, you big dummy!” Luffy shouted very loudly to get the beast's attention.

He ran towards the opposite direction, ignoring the concerned shouts of Law and Cracker. 

Luffy ran as the monster was chasing behind him. He needed to lure that thing to the lake. Luffy jumped between the trees, climbing them until he was high enough to jump on top of the beast. The beast roared, trashing to force Luffy get off of it. 

Luffy stubbornly holds on to the beast's mane, forcing it towards the lake. When they were close enough, the dark haired omega takes his dagger out from his belt and stabs it against the beast’s neck.

The chimera roared in pain, jumping towards the lake. Luffy moved on the beast's back, heading towards the shore. However, the snake part of the chimera bit his leg, taking Luffy with it into the water. Both were sinking into the water. Luffy was kicking the snake part, trying to make that thing to let his leg.

Suddenly, the snake part was cutted off and a strong arm was holding around Luffy. They swam to the surface of the lake. Luffy coughed and looked at his savior. He wore the attire of a warrior, had long, light hair, and was extremely tall.

“Are you ok, little Omega?”

Luffy only stared at him, he could smell that stranger was an alpha but he could tell he was a good one, even with that devilish smile.

“Yeah. Can you take me to the shore, please?”

The stranger took Luffy to the shore. The alpha laid Luffy down to the ground as the omega was checking the condition of his leg. It wasn’t that bad but Luffy knew very well Law was going to scold him very badly. Then, they heard gallops of horses. The alpha stood up and smirked when King Katakuri arrived at the shores of the lake, along with the cavalry.

“Are you not a bit late for the party, Katakuri?” The mysterious alpha asks

The king was shocked when he saw who was standing before him.

“Loki? What are you doing here?”

Chapter Text

Katakuri was in disbelief; he would never have expected to see Loki, his sister’s former fiance, after six years. Why was there there? Why now? As if he was reading his mind, Loki smirked.

“I will answer all our answers back at the castle.” Then, Luffy yelps when Loki carries him in his arms out of nowhere “But firstly let's treat this lovely Omega, shall we? He got hurt after facing that chimera.”

Luffy was speechless; he looked at Katakuri and then to Loki. He could smell Katakuri was pissed. He hoped that the king was not pissed at him.

Back at the Komugi castle, Luffy was taken to the infirmary. Anana was crying on his lap, happy to see he was ok. The dark haired omega caressed her back, trying to calm her worries. Zoro, Sanji, Wiro and Law were also there. Law was treating Luffy’s leg while they were talking about what happened back in the woods.

“A chimera…” Zoro whispered, horrified. “Are you sure it was a chimera?”

Law nodded.

“Yes, that chimera showed up out of nowhere. Ikkaku and I tried to hide but that thing found us. It killed Ikkaku and I couldn’t do anything.”

Law lamented the death of his apothecary friend. He wished he could have done anything.

“Chimeras unpredictable and wild monsters.” Sanji comments. “Depending on which animals they use to form them, it is very difficult to take them down when you’re alone. You’re lucky to be alive, Dr Trafalgar.”

The doctor only locked down, avoiding to gaze at anyone in the room. Wiro commented that Sanji knew a lot about chimeras and asked him how he knew so much about the subject. Zoro placed a hand on his husband’s shoulder, giving support. Sanji only answered that he,unfortunately, knew someone who liked creating chimeras. Before Wiro could ask anything else. Luffy placed his hand on the kid’s shoulder, shooking his head: there were some topics that were too sensitive to ask about. Wiro decided to keep quiet.

“By the way Wiro, who was that guy who helped me? The king seems to know him.” Luffy asks

“Ah, you mean, Loki?” Wiro asks, Luffy nods. Then, Wiro folded his arms while frowning. “I don’t remember much of the details because I was very young at that time. I remember Loki was Lola’s fiance. They were supposed to get married but they never did; because of the black plague hitting the kingdom six years ago, Lola was among many of our siblings who died back then.”

Silence filled the room. They remember very much of the black plague; many of their friends were killed by the plague too. Luffy and Zeff were also infected as well. They didn’t die thanks to Law’s arrival in the kingdom, saving as many as he could with his vaccines. 

Wiro wonders why Loki was there now? They haven't  had any contact with him for six years. Luffy wonders about that too.

Loki was in Katakir’s throne room along with Cracker (who was using crutches to be on his feet), Pudding and Brûlée . Needless to say the female Charlottes was surprised to see Loki again after so long. Loki looked surprised when he saw Pudding.

“Pudding? Is that you?” Loki  smiles “ Look at you, you’ve become a pretty lady. And you’re not a shrimp anyone.”

Pudding glared at Loki in anger. Brûlée had to hold her for the young girl to not fight him.

“Don’t call me shrimp!! You’re just too big than any normal person!!” She shrinks.

Loki couldn't help but laugh. It was a good thing that some things never changed the last time he was in Komugi Kingdom.

“Pudding, calm down.” Katakuri says, looking at her sister. Then, he frowns at Loki.n  “And you, Lok, once again I ask; what are you doing here?”

“Well Kat, firstly I am here to visit Lola’s tomb.” The warrior said. “And secondly Hajrudin had asked me to give this to you.”

Loki gave an eveloped, Katakuri could see the crest of Elbaf Kingdom in the wax seal. He opened the envelope and read the letter. He frowned; then he looked at Loki, asking if what was written in the letter was true. Loki confirmed everything written there was true.

“Chimeras have started appearing in other kingdoms. This is not an isolated case; someone is creating chimeras and releasing them into powerful kingdoms. A couple of weeks ago, two giant chimeras appeared in the borders of Elbaf. At the same time Alabasta, Goa and Wano also had problems with chimeras.”

Everybody was in silence; they couldn’t believe what they were just hearing. 

“My brother, the king, decided to invoke a Kingdom Summit. They still have to wait for Alabasta, Goa and Wano’s answer. If everything works out, in a month we will all meet in God Valley for the summit meeting.”

Katakuri nodded; whenever there was a summit, the kindongs always met at God Valley since the kingdom was  very neutral and it made sure no side fights until they came up with solutions for whatever problem the realm was facing. In this case, chimeras.

“I agree with the summit. You can go back to Elbaf tomorrow to give my answer to your brother.” Katakuri said.

“Actually, I bought Velg with me. She can send your answer back to Elbaf. I plan to stay here a little longer.”

Brûlée paled; she screamed horrified to know Loki still had that giant harpy eagle monster. Pudding was a bit confused,asking what the deal was. Cracker answered when Wiro was little, Loki's bird took him for a ride, almost giving everybody a heart attack. Then, there was a detail that got everyone’s attention. 

“Wait a second, what do you mean you're staying longer?” Brûlée asks, frowning at Loki.

“Like I've said, I came here mostly to visit Lola’s tomb. I'm not on good terms with Elbaf and I don't plan on returning there any time soon.”

They all groaned; they really didn't want to deal with Loki.

At the nursery,  though he had to stay in bed for a few days, Luffy could still nurse Pez without any problems since Law gave him an ok to continue his work. Luffy smiled when Pez finished his feeding.

“I will take him to the crib.” Nami said, picking pez gently to her arms.

“Thanks Nami.” Luffy smiled, closing his blouse.

Then they heard someone knocking on the door. Nami.said they may enter. Both of them bowed when they saw the king.

“How's your leg, Luffy? “ the king asks as he approached to the bed

“Law said in a few days I can walk freely as long as I take it easy.” He said. 

“That 's good to hear.” The king said “ Wiro told me you wanted to talk to me about something?”

Then Luffy looked  at Nami and Nami nodded.  She left the nursery after putting Pez on the crib.

“Er.. you see.” Luffy's face was flushing. Katakuri found it cute. “ I'm going into heat in a couple of weeks. I talked to some omega workers about what they do when they're in their heat and they said some of them stay in their own rooms in the castle while others said that they stay in their homes back in Castle Town. I don't feel good to have my heat in the nursesary. I would go to my cabin for this but the woods are not safe at the moment. “

Katakuri understood about Luffy’s dilemma. The king promised that he would provide a room for him. Luffy was very thankful for Katakuri's understanding about his situation and he apologized that the conversation was a bit awkward.

“Not at all. Like I've said before, it's my duty as a king to look after my people and my workers. Just focus on recovery fast while I provide your new room.”

Luffy smiled while thanking him. Katakuri was thankful for his scarf or else Luffy would see his face flushing.

“Something wrong?” Luffy asks, 

“It's nothing.” Katakuri  answers quickly. “Just focus on resting. I will tell you when your new room is ready.”

With that, Katakuri left quickly before he had a chance to embarrass himself. What's wrong with him?

At Goa Castle, a hawk landed on the desk of their current king. The king opened the letter.

“I see. A summit, hun? The things might be complicated if Elbaf is summoning a summit.”

Portgas D Ace was the name of the Goa’s king.
