"You did all of this for me?" Lucifer asked, eyes wide as he ventured further into the room.
Vox followed after him, back straight, hands tucked neatly behind his back, "Of course."
He looked perfectly calm, professional, but Lucifer knew him well enough by now that the signs of anxiety were obvious. Blank expression, slightly louder hum of his robotic parts.
Lucifer grabbed his hand, pulled him to stand at his side, then turned his attention back to the immense tank, filled with every kind of fish imaginable. "Are they all real?" He asked, watching in wonder as a small, colourful school passed right in front of them.
"Most are. The rest I made. Its hard to source fish from topside, especially living ones." Vox explained coolly, long claws squeezing the King's hand. Softer, he asked, "Do you like it...?"
Lucifer threw his arms around Vox's neck, dragging him down, "I love it." He whispered, fighting tears, "You don't know how much this means to me, I-" He swallowed thickly, "I missed it all so much. Thank you."
Large hands stroked over his back, soothing him, then returned the embrace. The tension melted away from Vox's frame as he placed a kiss in Lucifer's hair, "I'm glad."
