Mallie was totally into Sera. She rarely touched people, but when she did, it was usually Sera. Sometimes, it was this little, tease-y touch on the shoulder, putting her big, strong hands on Sera’s arm and squeezing and smiling down at her. Sometimes, she’d run those hands through Sera’s messy hair. She’d tell Sera that her hair was so pretty, but that Mallie was just dying to trim it with a pair of proper blades. Flirty idiot. She just wanted more excuses to touch Sera’s hair and the back of her neck and her ears. She always pretended like she forgot how sensitive elf-y ears were until Sera snorted and squirmed.
Mallie was into Blackwall. But that was alright. Sera hated tourists as much as the next girl, but Mallie was certainly pretty enough to visit as long as she liked.

Sera hated walking. She wasn’t bad at it, and it wasn’t super tiring, but it was… boring. So, so boring. As much as Blackwall, Bull, and Mallie bitched about the archer running ahead, Sera didn’t know what the big deal was. Honestly, it was smarter for the archer to run ahead. Scouting, or whatever. Plus, if she got plucked off the trail by some monster from the Fade, at least the three massive warriors would see it happen. And probably do something about it.
“Sera!” Mallie called out from a few dozen paces back.
She didn’t sound worried, but Sera turned around anyway, continuing to walk backward. “Yeah?”
Mallie gestured for her to stop walking, so she slowed down. A little. “Stop walking for a moment, will you?” She chuckled, walking closer.
“What? Why?” She looked around. No sign of weird Fade creatures or bears.
Mallie pointed toward Sera’s lower half. “You have a hole in the back of your leggings.”
Sera laughed. “Staring at my butt, Inky?” She asked, raising her eyebrows and waggling them the best she could. She wasn’t a very waggly eyebrows person. But she also wasn’t a very sign up for a religious army and rub yourself to someone who thinks they’re Andraste’s chosen before she met Mallie, either.
Mallie just chuckled and rolled her pretty blue eyes. “Once we get back to Skyhold,” she said, “you’re letting me patch them.”
Sera shrugged, grinning. “And what if I like the feeling of the breeze on my butt?” She snorted. “You, of all people, should get that, right? What with all the girly skirts you wear!” She took in Mallie’s current form. Her kind of broad, super tall body was coated in plate armor, all glitteringly silver with designs of Andraste and the Inquisition dented into it. Her thick, muscle-y legs were wrapped up in plate like a gift bound in silver parchment paper.
“I know you like those leggings,” Mallie said, giving Sera’s legs a once-over before returning her eyes to Sera’s face. Her big nose wrinkled a little at the plaidweave. “Maker knows why,” she muttered. “It’d be a shame for them to end up in tatters,” she added, voice returning to its previous volume after her little aside about Sera’s choice in fashion.
Sera let out a fake groan of frustration. “Fine, mum, you can patch my clothes up. Again.” Mallie had already all but nicked her top a few weeks ago when they were talking in Sera’s bedroom. It had initially been exciting, to see her shirt in Mallie’s big, strong hands, but her hopes of she’s gonna take hers off, too were quickly dashed when she saw the sewing box Mallie had snuck along in her purse alongside her wine bottles. Inky had patched her damn shirt with all the finesse of a thief stealing a ring off of a nob’s finger. If nothing else, Sera had to respect the audacity.
“Thank you, dearie,” Mallie said, smiling. There was a glitter of mischievousness in her black-lined blue eyes that made Sera’s heart flutter.
Sera groaned, playing along. Could be fun, she thought. She is older than me… The older, humany lady and the younger, elfy girl. She really wouldn’t mind Mallie manhandling her. So long as she didn’t do the handling with the Anchor. That’d just be weird.
“Alright, you’re free to go back to playing,” Mallie cooed, patting Sera on the back to shoo her to where she had been before she’d pulled Sera back to tell her of her patching plans.
Sera stuck her tongue out at Mallie, blowing her a little raspberry, before running along. Totally into me, she thought, giggling to herself. Did she want to share Mallie with Blackwall? Maker, no. But would it be funny to get to her first, loosen her up before turning her back onto Beardy? Yeah. Great idea, Sera. Thank you, Sera! She could hear Mallie, Blackwall, and Bull laughing to themselves behind her. She turned around to grin at them and nearly fell, her foot catching on a root.
“You’re doing great, sweetheart!” Mallie called out, giving her a thumbs-up.
So into me. So totally into me.
