Above the Earth hangs the luxury spaceship ‘Tranquillity’.
The Forty Three kilometre long, Seven kilometre wide gigantic ship is the first and as such only spaceship humanity has.
The ship is the brain child of Bob Marley the IV, during smoking one of his metre long joints.
Captain Dawn walks onto the large bridge as she finishes rolling her joint.
Looking around she sees the hundred odd bridge crew either going over their check lists for launch, or sitting around on the many beanbags passing around joints.
Seeing her XO on his chair she lights her Joint and walks over to him.
“How’s everything progressing, Arlo?” Dawn asks as she took a drag, then passed it over to her XO.
“Nearly done,” he answers as he takes a drag, “Everyone’s on board, all the theme parks are already open,
the animals and such are in the wildlife sanctuaries, the ocean level was filled last night and they are just finishing up introducing the Marine life to their new home.
I heard the whales were a pain to get on board.”
“The Marijuana forests are fully grown, so no problems running out,” Arlo continues. “The rain forests are also done, so we have unlimited water.
Also, the farmers have produced several crops, and reared several animals, so we have enough food. We are just missing the clowns for the big top circus, they missed the shuttle but are on their way now.”
“Ok, as soon as they are on board we’ll jump to Alpha Centauri,” Dawn said as she took her joint back and sat in her chair.
Ten minutes later the clowns arrived on board and made their way to the circus on level Four Hundred and Twenty Seven.
“OK, let’s start this Ten year journey around the galaxy,” Dawn says to the crew, “Navigation, set the jump point for Alpha Centauri.”
“Aye, Aye Cap,” says the navigator while taking a puff of his joint.
In space a black cloud starts to envelop the large vessel, before both the cloud and the ship vanishes, starting its wacky journey through space.
The Ship appears out of the cloud into normal space.
“This doesn’t look like Alpha Centauri,” says Arlo, “and is that a ship or am I stoned?”
“We’re all stoned,” answers the captain. “The ship could be there or we’re all having a mass hallucination.”
“I think I’ve got the right coordinates now,” said the navigator.
“Ok, once the science sector has finished their scans of the might-be-there ship, jump to hopefully Alpha Centauri,” the XO says.
After a minute the ship jumps back into the black cloud, and (if the reggae gods allow it) back to its proper journey.
After three months of jumping around the galaxy aimlessly they arrived at a planet that several aliens have said is the heart of the galactic government.
“Ok, let’s say hello,” says Dawn, “open hailing frequency.”
“Greetings, we are Humanity,” Dawn starts as she took a drag of her joint, “and we come in peace”.
Then she promptly burst into laughter.
