   Summary

James "Jamie" Nilssen is a mild-mannered guy trying to survive in New York City; your New York, my New York; in the nebulous present of the universe we share until his world is ripped away from him by a tear in the fabric of reality. He struggles to find his footing in an alien dimension, arrested by an organization that claims to be a unified society of Spider people and thrown into the chaos of a multiverse he didn't know existed and never asked to explore. Jamie meets the head of this institute, Miguel O'Hara, and Petra Parksberg, M.D. (Original Character SpiderWoman) and finds himself forming an attachment to Miguel in spite of his principal hatred for him. As Jamie struggles for autonomy under Miguel's imposed regime, Miguel investigates the circumstances that brought his new, unhappy recruit to The Society of Spider Peoples and discovers that Jamie may more dangerous than his appearance would suggest.
