Eddie paused mid-motion to grab his car door, turning wide, surprised eyes up to the grinning guy in front of him. The unease in his stomach solidified into dread, his tired mind coming to life and starting to swirl with plans to get away from this creep. “Excuse me?”
“You're squandering your talent, Eddie. Can I call you Eddie?” Every overly casual word and light step towards him had Eddie freaking out a little more.
