Chapter Text

Elsewhere on Tokyo-3 we can see Plungerman in a phone booth. While Shinji was outside waiting for him. 

Plungerman : Damn, she's 20 minutes late. She must be doing something important for her not to answer. When she gets here I'm going to-

But before he could finish his sentence he hear a message on the phone :

"Due to the state of emergency, all lines are currently closed."

Plungerman : Wait no that even worse they cut the phone lines.

Shinji : What a nightmare. I knew we shouldn't go.

As Shinji looks at his watch, he realizes they might be late for the meeting.

Shinji : Plungerman I don't think we have a choice anymore we have to go to the nearest shelter.

Plungerman : No, your father said we should wait for her. So we're staying here.

Shinji sighs in annoyance at Plungerman's reply, he pulls a photo of Katsuragi out of his pocket, his cheeks flushed slightly after seeing her suggestive photo.

Plungerman : Shinji why are you blushing?

Was surprised that Plungerman could see him blushing and with an embarrassed tone he said.

Shinji : No...nothing I swear!

He hides the photo behind his back, holding it in his left hand.

Plungerman : I can literally see you hiding your hand behind your back Shinji. Please do not tell me this is the picture of Misato.

Shinji scratches his head in embarrassment when he mentions this photo of Katsuragi and he tries to change the subject.

Shinji : So hmmm anyway, I wonder why my father wants to see me after all these years. What could be the reason that called me to come to Tokyo-3 after?  

Plungerman : To be honest with you. I'm like you I don't know why but one thing is sure-

Plungerman stop himself out when he hears loud of footsteps of a unknown tall figures walking in the city and see multiple heavy fighters jets back off from the monster.

The giant was tall, thin and humanoid-like. Its proportions were unlike anything he'd ever seen; its arms were so long they reached down to its knees and legs, and in the center of its chest it contained a red core. The heads were composed mainly of bone, with a bird-like beak.

Shinji : What the hell is this thing and where is it from?

Plungerman : I don't know but one thing is sure is that we shouldn't stay here. This place is not safe at all!

Plungerman takes Shinji's hand as he moves away from the battle between the military and the monster.

The jets start firing their missiles at the creature, but he suffered no damage from the weapon. The monster retracts spear-like bones' pink energy from its forearms, and shoots down a jet.

As Plungerman and Shinji run away from the fight the plane that got shot down by the monster falls on the ground in front of them. Plungerman stops in his tracks as Shinji does the same.

Out of nowhere a police car brakes in front of them. The car door opens, revealing a woman with purple hair. It was Misato, the woman in the picture.

Misato : Hi boys! Sorry for being late but me and Prowl had to deal with a problem on the road. 

Plungerman grabbed him by the wrist and ran to the car. Shinji enters the car in the passenger side and Plungerman sits behind Katsuragi.

Misato : Roll out Prowl we need to get out of here!

After hearing this, Prowl rolls at breakneck speed away from the war zone that has become the city.

Misato : Watch out!

As she pointed out that the monster's foot was about to crush us, after he heard Misato order Prowl to step back and make a half-turn to move away.

Plungerman : Those missions missed me so much!

The touchscreen next to the steering wheel lights up and displays a red logo with a mechanical head.

Shinji was shocked to see this, Prowl was some sort of Ai? He had so many questions and he couldn't wait to get to know this Prowl.

Prowl : And you did not miss me Plunger.

Plungerman : You are such a party pooper Prowl.

Prowl sigh of irritation.

Prowl : Darling can you stop holding the steering wheel? I can roll myself, you know?

Each time he said a word the touch screen brightened in red.

Misato : Oops you know, I'm not used to driving alien cars like you.

As she blushes in embarrassment.

Prowl : I noticed. 

Shinji : Prowl is an alien?!?

Plungermanl : Yes he is one, I will explain it to you later when we arrive at the base. Is it a long story. 

Misato : Wait, Prowl stop rolling. Oh no...

Prowl braked quickly.

Misato takes out her binoculars and observes the city through her window.

Plugnerman : What is the problem Misato? 

She looks again to make sure it's what she sees with her binoculars.

Shinji : What's wrong?

Misato : They are about to drop a N² mine! 

Plungerman : We need to get out of here now! 

Before Prowl could roll away from the city, a blinding flash of light appears for a second it blind everyone.

Misato : Everyone get down now! 

She puts away her binoculars and forces Shinji to bend down. Plungerman bends down as well. Then in one second, a fireball of an unbearable temperature, heat and luminosity spreads towards them, vaporizing everything and turning the city into ashes. The shockwave follows almost instantly, the pressure was strong so that it sent Prowl spinning uncontrollably. Everyone in the car was flung around in the car like ragdolls. Misato was thrown in front of Shinji.

Prowl : I have an idea but I don't think everyone will like it. 

Plungerman : I don't care, do it anyway! 

Without warning, Prowl turns the car's passenger door split open, the panels bending and contorting like an unraveling jigsaw puzzle.

Shinji : You are a transformers Prowl. Why I don't understand it now! 

Plungerman : This is only now you get it? 

A series of gears set in motion and, with a metallic clang, a huge robotic arm emerged from the side of the vehicle. The arm was an engineering marvel of elegant silver plating covering interlocking servo motors and hydraulic pistons hissing with steam.  To prevent the car from spinning further and hurting the car's occupant Prowl uses his hand to grab the ground so that he could stop the spinning.  The car finally stopped. Everyone in the car sighed with relief. Prowl was injured after the crash but luckily no one inside him was injured. Prowl transforms back his arm into the passenger door.  Everyone left the vehicle to get some air after what had happened.

Misato : I've got ashes everywhere on my clothes dammit! 

As she said with a tone of exasperation.  

Plungerman : Be happy that your boyfriend saved our life instead of complaining that your fancy clothes have been dirted! 

Misato : What did you say, Metal head–

Surprisingly, a blue greenish portal appears in front of everyone in the form of a small hurricane.

Shinji : Who are they? 

Two vehicles leave the portal, one of them was a red van and next to the van there was a yellow camaro. The two vehicles roll toward us.

Prowl : Oh they're here now. 

Misato begins to smile.

The red van Vanette skidded to a halt, its wheels kicking up dust. The van began to shift. Panels unfolded, the sides split open, and tires retracted as the vehicle transformed. Metal parts twisted and realigned until Ironhide stood tall, his broad frame and fierce blue optics. Beside him, the bright yellow camaro roared to a stop. In a flash, the hood split apart and the doors swung upward as Bumblebee transformed with a series of rapid clicks and whirrs. Panels shifted, wheels tucked away, and the familiar face of the machine emerged, his blue optics flashing with readiness. Both robots stood side by side, fully transformed. The yellow robot walks toward Shinji and he starts talking with eagerness.

??? : So you are Shinji Ikari, son of Gendo right? 

Shinji : Oh my god you are Bumblebee and Ironhide! 

He pointed at the red robot.

Bumblebee : Yeah you got it kiddo. 

Ironhide begins to look at the young boy with a face of impatience.

Ironhide : Shinji time is running out. You have to follow us through the portal. 

Bumblebee : This also applies to you, Plungerman, of course.

Bumblebee look at Prowl, he realized that was his friend was injured and said with a worried tone.

Bumblebee : Oh my Primus Prowl what happened to you?

Misato : We got into a crash because of the shockwave of N² mine.

Bumblebee : They actually dropped the N² mine? So that means the whole city is obliterated.

Prowl points to the city which was now a gigantic crater filled with grey dust. 

Ironhide: Woah, so G.U.N wasn’t lying… Those bombs are destructive.

Prowl : Yes but at least the angel is dead.

Misato : For now... 

Shinji : An angel?

Plungerman : This is what we call those things.

Shinji : I see.

Ironhide : Listen comrades, we've got to go, Gendo is waiting for Shinji.

After hearing this, everyone went through the gate and Shinji was the last to enter.

He turned his back and for a few seconds saw a silhouette that looked like a girl but before he could say anything. Plugnerman suddenly grabs him by the shoulder to force him enter the portal .

Meanwhile at the Commander Center.

Three members of JSSDF who all sat at a desk, the three of them ecstatic about their victory over the beast.

??? : Today it seems like we don't need the help of your autobots or the Titans today Ikari.

Gendo with hands clasped, fingers intertwined and hands covering his mouth, looks at the JSSDF while Kōzō, behind him, stands with arms behind his back.

One of the members started talking .

??? : With an explosion like this there is no way the creature is still alive. 

??? : Buying those bombs from G.U.N is the best decision that we made. 

The giant screen in front of them ceases to be static and shows a holographic video of what's left of the city.

A voice can be heard saying .

”The sensors are now operational.”

”Energy is detected at the epicenter of the detonation.”

??? : How is this possible? 

“Visual restoration will be carried out by the cameraman's helicopters.”

The screen switches on again and it shows the monster silhouette, he was not injured by the nuke in the slightest he just stood there menacingly. The three men were shocked seeing this. How this monster could still be alive. It was one of best technology made by G.U.N.

??? : This was our last resort… 

??? : How is this possible 

??? : Damn monster! 

Gendo : As expected, it has the capacity to regenerate itself. If that wasn't the case they wouldn't send him alone. 

On the monitors it seems like that the angel has developed a second head and his beak was shorter than the first.  Without a warning the angel's new head, eyes started to fire a long-range energy blast at the camera helicopter.  Everyone in the room was shocked at this, except KōzōIt and Gendo.

”We lost contact with every camera helicopters in the zone of the bombing ”

Kōzō : Well. It seems that he can improve his abilities

Gendo : And he is becoming smarter. 

Kōzō : It will be completely regenerated in a while. 

The three members of the JSSDF turned their back to Gendo and the oldest one said.

??? : Ikari, we give you the mission responsibility… 

The youngest member add.

??? : And we admit that all of our weapons are useless against this monster.

The oldest talk again.

??? : Are you sure you can destroy this monster?

Gendo : Yes, this is what NERV was made to eliminate creatures like them and defend humanity. 

??? : Do not fail us Ikari, the fate of Tokyo-3 is in your hands. 

Gendo : As the commander of N.E.R.V I won’t make you regret this choice...

The desk that the three JDSSF members were on goe down and they dissapears.

Kozo : UN forces have thrown in the towel. What are you going to do now?

Gendo : Activate Eva-01.

Kozo : Activate Eva-01? But we don’t have pilots. Are you sure we shouldn’t send Titan Tv Man. I’ve heard his upgrades are almost done.

Gendo : No, the tvmen told me that they need to make multiple tests about the titan's stability and for the problem with the pilot a replacement pilot arrives.

Kozo : And Titan Cameraman and Titan Speakerman. I've heard that Titan Speakerman is back to our side now. 

Gendo : Yeah he is now. But our two titans are in the USA. It will take them at least one week to reach Japan. And we don't have one week. 

A tall red and blue robot approached, his silver faceplate gleaming beneath blue eyes. His chest bore two window panels, and his legs were accented with silver and wheels.

It was the legendary Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. When Kozo saw the autobot he lowered his head in respect.

Kozo : Optimus.

Optimus : Kozo. So I cannot believe that the angel is still alive. Do you know when your Eva pilot is coming? Because my autobots won't have enough firepower to defeat him. 

He said this as he looked at the two men.

Gendo : He will be coming soon. I sent Misato and Prowl to take him. 

Optimus : Are you sure Shinji will pilot the Eva and listen to you?

Gendo : No he wouldn't, this is why you are going to be the one who will change his mind Optimus. 

Optimus : What if he wants to leave? 

Gendo : Then we will send either Titan Tv Man to fight or Rei will be the one piloting Eva-01.

He said it so calmly.

The cybertronian optics widened after hearing this answer.

Optimus : What??! You can't do this. Rei cannot even walk straight and Titan Tv Man receives reparations after his fight against G-man and Titan Speakerman. You know well those two are not in a position to fight.

Gendo : Then managed to change his mind, Optimus. I am sure you can do it. You always have great speeches and prepare your autobots for the upcoming battle. We need them.

He said it in a firm tone.

Optimus sighed even though he hated Gendo giving him orders he had to mobilize all his autobots if he wanted to save the city from this monster. He looked away and left the commander center. 

Unfortunately he knew with all of his spark. That Gendo was right, he has to convince Shinji, if he doesn't, a lot of innocent people will die and he can't let this happen . 

Meanwhile, at the research center.

Shinji was the last one to leave the portal. 

He watched his surroundings and realized that he was inside in some sort of lab.

There were many people who had some sort of camera head like Plungerman did.   Next to him there was a cameraman who was wearing a white coat. In a firm tone he started talking. 

??? : In ten seconds we are closing the bridge, ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one go!

The cameraman lowers the lever and the portal close in second. The cameraman noticed Shinji. 

??? : So your name is Shinji right?

Shinji responded with nervousness. 

Shinji : Yeah this is my name.

The Cameraman responded with a calm voice. 

??? : Is nice to finally meet the son of Gendo.

He tends his hand so Shinji can shake it.

Shinji shakes his hand. His grip is hesitant, and the cameraman's is stronger than his own. At any moment, the cameraman could decide to break Shinji's hand.

Plungerman suddenly appeared in front of them and he held Shinji's left shoulder. Shinji was taken by surprise by Plugnerman's sudden appearance.

Plungerman : There you are, I searched for you for 5 minutes and hi John it has been 11 years since we last saw each other.

John replied with joy. After so many years, he's happy to see his friend again. 

John : Yeah Plunger, it's been a while since we talked. But I guess you don't have the time for a big discussion right now.

Plungerman nodded his head to confirm what John said. 

John sat on his chair and waved at Plugnerman and me. 

John: Then bye.

Plungerman waved back, and he walked away from the lab.

Plungerman : Your dad is waiting for us.

Shinji : Where are Prowl, Misato, Ironhide and Bumblebee? Ask Shinji. 

Plugnerman scolded the question but he answered. 

Plungerman : Misato is waiting for us with your dad, Prowl is in the infirmary with Ratchet so he can heal his wound, Bumblebee and Ironhide are preparing themselves for the battle against the angel.

Smile after hearing this response. He was so happy that Prowl will get healed for his wound after what happened to him. 

Shinji : So how are we going to beat this angel?

Shinji said with worries.

Plungerman : I am like you. I don't know how we could beat this monster. 

From his left pocket, he pulled out a book with the name NERV on the cover. He holds the book out to Shinji to give it to him.

The teenager takes the book immediately. 

He said with curiosity. 

Shinji : So this is where my dad works?

Plungerman : Yeah this is where your father works. Also it was Misato who was supposed to give you this book but she didn’t have the time to give it to you.

He nodded after hearing his sensei answer. 

As they walk in the hall of the NERV for minutes. Plugnerman finally spotted an elevator. 

He pointed at the elevator.

Plungerman : After 5 minutes of walking in this shitty base we finally found an elevator.

Then the elevator door opens to reveal Misato.

Plungerman looked surprised, he was not expecting Misato to be here and wasn't she supposed to be with Gendo? 

Misato : Hi boys… Uh…

She said awkwardly. 

Plunger and Shinji enter into the elevator as Plugnerman looks at Misato with a look of confusion. 

The cameraman replied with curiosity as he genuinely wanted to understand why she isn't with Gendo. 

Plungerman : Aren't you supposed to be with Gendo, Misato?

She answered and spoke as if ashamed of herself. She bows her head in shame. 

Misato : I was a little bit lost in the base.

Plungerman : It shows.

Plungerman looked at her mockingly, although with his camera head it was hard to see his emotions. Plungerman's tone helps.

In an attempt to calm the atmosphere, Shinji begins to smile. 

Shinji : Nice to meet you, Miss Misato.

Misato smiled back. 

Misato : Thank you Shinji, you are adorable in contrast to your sensei. 

She said as she looked at the cameraman with annoyance, rolled her eyes and an irritated tone. 

At the elevator door we're about to close, a blonde woman who was in a swimsuit while wearing a white coat like John did and enters the elevator as the doors close in and walks toward Misato.

Plungerman : Ritsuko Aragi is that you? 

Ritsuko : Yes, it's me, my old friend, it's been a while since we've seen each other Plunger, wait what are you doing here captain Misato? 

Misato : I was lost in the base. 

Ritsuko : As a captain Misato you can't afford to make mistakes like this. Time is running out. 

Ritsuko turn her head to Shinji curiosity.

Ritsuko : So this is supposed to be the new child?

Misato : Yes, he is the third child-. 

Plungerman interrupts the woman.

Plungerman : Mentioned in the Marduk report and this child is my protégé.

Misato rolls her eyes after Plungerman interrupts her.

Ritsuko looks at Shinji with a smile.

Ritsuko : Nice to meet you.

Shinji : Nice to meet you too.

Misato : You can see that he reacts like his father and is as impassive as he is.

Plungerman : I can proudly confirm this!

As he put his hands into Shinji's shoulders.

The elevator door opened. Ritsuko leaves the elevator and everyone follows her.

Meanwhile at the Commander Center

Gendo : I'm going to be away for a while, so I'm counting on you, Kozo.

Gendo disappears as the platform he was on goes down.

Wheeljack : Kozo, I have bad news...

The target has started moving again.

Kozo : Everyone to the battle stations. We are at level one alert. 

Return to the cage of UNIT-01. 

While we we're travelling on a platform to the cage of UNIT-01

I’m reading the NERV book in silence that Plunger gave me. 

In the loudspeakers a voice repeats : Everyone to the battle station. Prevent interception

Plungerman : Did you hear this? 

Ritsuko : Things are actually becoming worse.

Plungerman : Where we are with Eva-01

Ritsuko : He is actually getting frozen to configuration b.

Misato : Did we even succeed at making this machine move an inch?

Ritsuko : Our chance to succeed in synchronization with the eva are low.

Plungerman : How much?

Ritsuko : They are extremely low, like 0,000000001 %.

Misato : So we should not be expecting that thing to move? 

Plungerman : Guys we should stop being negative, it means there is still a chance that Eva could work. 

Ritsuko : Yes, mathematically speaking. 

She says with a tone of exasperation.

  15 minutes later 

They finally arrived at their destination. 

Misato opens the door of the room and Ritsuko enters the room Shinji follows her. The area was dark and we could see nothing. 

Plungerman tries to enter the room but two NERV guards stop him.

Plungerman : Uh what?

NERV guard 1 : Sorry, but access is only allowed to high-ranking NERV members.

Plungerman : This is bullshit! I have worked for NERV since the beginning. Why don't I count as a high ranked member?

NERV guard 2 : You're not a founding member of NERV, and you know it Plungerman. 

Plungerman gives an offended look.

NERV guard 1 : Sorry those are our orders, not low ranked NERV members are allowed on this site. 

Plungerman : Uh lookout there is a skibidi toilet in the base! 

He points at the wall.

The two guards looked behind them and drew their weapons to prepare to fire at the supposed skibidi toilet.

NERV guard 2 : Where is the goddamn skibidi toilet?!? 

During the brief moment that the guards were discouraged, Plungerman took advantage of the situation to thread his way through the door.

NERV guard 1 : Dude I think he was lying. 

NERV guard 2 : This is why we are getting replaced by cameramen. 

The guard put his gun back in his pocket and rubbed his eyelids with deep annoyance.

Meanwhile in the autobots weaponry section.

Drift : Optimus, are you sure that you are not going to gaslight that kid. Because the way you describe the way to convince him to pilot Eva-01 seems like gaslighting.

Optimus : Yes I am sure! As he screams to the young autobot. 

Optimus : I don't think you understand the situation right now Drift. Outside of the base we have a monster that is like anything we fought before. I don't want the same event to happen again like 10 years ago Drift. 

Drift : You are still guilty about this? Prime this isn't your fault- 

Optimus : Yes this is my fault if I stayed much longer. Chromia won't lose her life and Asuka won't be motherless.

Drift : Optimus, look no one would predict that Starscream would find the location of the Sohryu family. 

Optimus : I know but if I've stayed much longer. I could save Chromia and Kyoko…

Drift : You are not the only one who suffers from their loss… Ironhide could confirm.

Optimus : Asuka could confirm too, she reminds me of that every single day. Each time when we go on facetime she gives me the same look on her face she had when her mother got shot by Starcream in front of her but there is no time to talk about the past right now. Drift, go outside helping the others to evacuate the civilians.

As he pressed a button to open one massive door outside.

Drift after hearing Optimus orders he immediately transformed to his helicopter mode, rotors spinning to life and he flew toward the exit.

Optimus : Good luck my friend.

As he pressed the button again to close the massive door. He turned towards a display case inside which were several Cybertronian weapons.  There was a small computer next to the display. He turned on the computer and typed a password to open the display. He took his ion blaster with his right hand and he took one of his energon swords and attached it to his wrist. He retracted the sword several times, clenching his fist to see if it was properly attached. He transforms into his truck mode and leaves the weaponry section.

Meanwhile in the Eva-01 cage. 

Shinji : Where is Plungerman and why is this room so dark?

Ritsuko : Don't worry about him. He is fine. 

Suddenly the light went up to reveal a purple mech.

Shinji returns in fear after seeing the mech. 

Shinji : A face, is that a giant robot?

Shinji immediately took his book to see if there was any mention of this mecha. 

Ritsuko : You will find nothing about him.  I present to you the strongest weapon that humanity has ever made. Unit-1 or you can call it Eva-01. She was built in the greatest of secrets. She is the last stand for humanity.

Shinji : So this is what my dad did. This is what he's been working on. 

Gendo : Yes I can confirm.

As he stands in the shadow while adjusting his glasses. In the control room above them. 

Shinji : Dad?!? 

He couldn’t believe his eyes. After all of those years. He saw his father again. I knew he was going to meet him but he was not expecting it now. 

Gendo : It's been a while, son. 

Shinji looked away. Gendo chuckled as he saw his son turning his face away in fear. 

Gendo : Activate the Eva-01. 

Misato : Wait what. You cannot activate Eva-01. We don't even have a pilot. We can’t do this.

Ritsuko looks at Shinji after Misato brings up the fact they didn't have a pilot. 

Misato : Do not tell me-

Ritsuko : Yes, time is running out and we have to think fast. Shinji is the only one here who has a chance to make this machine move a inch. As a captain you should understand this.

Misato lowered her head in shame.

Shinji : Sorry but I can't do this. I've never learned to pilot something like this in my whole life, Dad. Also did you really call me for this? After all these years you called me to pilot this thing? You always saw me as a worthless child. 

Gendo : I don't have the time to listen to your hesitation. I give two choices: either you get in the Eva or you leave my sight forever!

Shinji was shocked to hear how his father could say this to his own son. But Shinji should have expected that this is the same person who abandoned him when he was a child. He held his fist in anger, he looked at his father in the distance while gritting his teeth. All employees who were thre observed the discussion. They were all shocked by the violence of Gendo's words.

Shinji : You asshole… 

As he mumbled.

Even though Shinji's words were Inaudible, Gendo heard it and he was unfazed by Shinji's words. 

Gendo : I really hope that you are not gonna throw a tantrum at us right now.

Suddenly an explosion can be heard outside it makes the ground shake a little bit.

  Gendo : This bastard has found us. 

“The protective armor of level one has been destroyed”

Ritsuko : Shinji times is running out.

“Multiple wildfires have been reported in block d. Every all emergency accesses blocked” 

Misato : Please get into Eva.

She says it with a firm tone and crosses her arms to show that it wasn't a request but an order.

Shinji : I couldn't do it, I've only just arrived 

Misato grabs Shinji's left shoulder. 

Misato : I want to be honest. What did you expect when you came here? 

As she bends down to Shinji level 

Shinji turns away after hearing Misato's question.

Misato : Please don’t run away. Don’t run from your father and especially not from yourself.

Shinji : I know!

As he said with a frustrated tone. He replied once again.

Shinji : I am not capable of what you are asking me to do!

Misato gets up and walks away from Shinji. R itsuko gives a look of disappointment at Shinji.

Meanwhile behind Gendo a cloud of black smoke materializes. A large silhouette emerges from the black smoke and slowly disappears. The figure emitted a violet glow. He was muscular, wearing a black sleeveless waistcoat, tie, tight-fitting trousers and gloves. His shoes were brown. His head was a television with two speakers on either side. Finally, his arms were equipped with sharp blades. Gendo nodded after realizing he was here. He turned to the figure. 

Gendo : Oh you are finally here Saber? 

Saber : I now't gnirb uoy ieR. ehS dereffus morf elpitlum lataf seirujni esuaceb fo ruoy tset. ehS si ni on etats ot tolip na avE thgir won. (I won't bring you Rei. She suffered from multiple fatal injuries because of your test. She is in no state to pilot an Eva right now.)

Gendo : You think you got a choice? 

Saber : ?uoy ot netsil lliw I .kniht uoy sekam tahW (What makes you think. I will listen to you?) 

Suddenly, a TV man enters the room. He's wearing a white lab coat. He wears black pants, a purple shirt under his white coat and black shoes. He has a curved wire at the top of his head.

Before the scientist could finish his sentence Saber grabbed him by the throat, pushed him against a wall and cracked it.

Saber sighs and lets go of the Scientist throat.

As Gendo watched the argument between the robots. He is pleased to see that the discussions between the two of them come to an end with Saber finally agreeing to the plan.

Gendo : Happy to hear that you are back to your senses, Saber. 

Takuma : Yramrifni eht ni s'ehs ,su ot kcab ieR ekat won. (Now take Rei back to us, she's in the infirmary.) 

Saber walked away in shame from Gendo and Takuma. A cloud of black smoke materializes around the machine and the smoke disappears with Saber. 

Gendo : How many times will it take for Titan TV Man upgrades to be done Takuma? 

Takuma : Tsael ta skeew eerht. (Three weeks at least.)

Gendo : That's good to hear. 

Suddenly one of the screens in the Gendo office lights out to show Kozo.

Gendo : Fuyutsuki, wake up Rei. 

Kozo : Is she okay?

Gendo : She isn’t dead. Also there's no need to call the nurses to bring her back. Saber will teleport her instead.

Kozo : It's understood.

As the screen turns off. Gendo look at his watch and he start talking to Rei through the watch.

Gendo : Rei.

Rei : Yes?

Gendo : The reinforcement is not suitable for piloting. I need you.

Rei : Understood.

Back with Shinji further away

Ritsuko gave a disappointed look to Shiji but she turned her head to Eva 01.

Ritsuko : Reconfigure Eva-01 for Rei and reactivate it!

“Well received. Suspend current tasks and start activation”

As Shinji stood there in his mind, he thought to himself.

I knew it nobody wanted me anyway.

Suddenly someone grabbed him by the shoulder.

Shinji : Wait, who is that?

He turns around and sees that it's Plungerman.

Plungerman : Hi Shinji sorry for being late. They didn't let me enter the cage. What happened?

Before Shinji could answer. A cloud of black smoke materializes next to Shinji and Plungerman. And when that same smoke disappears. It reveals a girl on a hospital bed. She looked exactly like the girl he'd seen before. Accompanied by 3 doctors and a robot with a TV face.  

Plungerman : Hi Saber. How are you?

Saber : Mind your own business, you asshole. You aren't supposed to be here.

Plungerman : Wait why you can suddenly talk normally?

Saber points out the translating device on his head.

Saber : Because of this, is a device created by the speakermen faction. 

Plungerman : I thought this was an invention made by Wheeljack. 

Saber : I mean this was made with the help of Wheeljack too. Anyway I don't have the times to talk with you now.

He turned his back to Plungerman for helping Rei to stand up. He took her hand to help her stand up.

Saber : .em draeh uoY .ieR em rof efas eb esaelP (Please be safe for me Rei. You heard me.)

Rei responded with a lot of difficulties because of the pain.

Rei : I will be safe, don't worry.

Her legs were shaking in pain.

Shinji's eyes widened after watching the poor girl. Her legs were shaking in pain, she could barely stand up. It was obvious she was not in state to pilot the Eva. 

Plungerman holds Shinji's shoulders gently a nd he ask. 

Plugnerman : So what happened, Shinji? Your face tells me something wrong happened. 

Shinji turned to Plugnerman.

Shinji : They wanted me to pilot this robot. 

Plungerman : Let me guess you say no. 

Shinji answered with embarrassment. He is deeply ashamed of having been a coward.

Shinji : Yes. I guess you must be disappointed. 

Plungerman : Not really. This is your choice. Sometimes in life you have to make decisions that not everybody will like. 

Without warning, outside the Angel sent another beam of energy to Geofront, but this time it successfully aimed at NERV HQ. Gigantic debris fell on the base.

Inside it makes the ground shocking. It felt like an earthquake. 

Shinji fell onto his backside. Rei nearly tumbled face-first, but Saber managed to grab her arm just in time to stop her from falling.

Rei : Thank you, Saber.

She said, smiling broadly. 

The TVman nodded in acknowledgment.

Plungerman : Watch out! 

He pointed above Saber and Rei, and suddenly debris began to rain down over their heads. 

In a desperate act, Saber shoved Rei out of the danger zone. Shocked by the unexpected move, Rei lost her balance and fell onto her backside, groaning in pain. Saber backs up from the other side so he won't be crushed from the debris. 

Immediately, Shinji ran over to help her stand, even as more debris pelted them both.

At that very moment, the third of them, Plungerman, Misato and Saber screamed in unison. 

“Kids, watch out!”

Startled, Shinji lifted his head, his eyes widening in terror. He quickly covered his head with his arms and closed his eyes, resigned to his fate. 

Before the debris collapses on the children. Suddenly, Eva-01 becomes active. He raises his hand and pushes the debris away. The debris was sent flying into the window of Gendo's room. The man smiled after seeing Eva 01 activate. 

Wheeljack who was in the control room. His blue optics widened in surprise. How could Eva move? He said to himself  So he started looking everywhere at the panel to see if there was something activated but there was nothing. 

Wheeljack : What the hell happened? Did Eva 01 just tore off the right arm fastener without an entry plug?

She said while being on her knees. 

Ritsuko : Impossible, I can’t believe it, the entry plug is not even inserted into the Eva. She cannot move.

Plungerman : What? How is that possible?

Misato : Something must have made her move probably or she wanted to protect Shinji.

Shinji held Rei close to his chest as she groaned in pain. His eyes widened in horror when he looked down at his hand, now stained with her blood.

Suddenly, a red truck barreled toward the children, his engine roaring as he approached. The truck transformed, his metal panels shifting and expanding before their eyes, into a towering robot. The robot looked down at Shinji.

Misato's voice rang out with disbelief:

Misato: Optimus, you’re here?

As Optimus completely ignored the woman. He said.

Optimus : Today Shinji Ikari, progeny of Gendo, I’m here to tell you that the lives of countless innocent people are resting on your shoulders. If you refuse this task, innocents will perish but as an autobot I cannot force you to make this decision like my mentor Sentinel Prime always said : 

“Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.”

Optimus : But remember that your choice will have consequences.

After listening to Optimus' speech Shinji said to himself multiple times : I won’t run, I won’t run, I won’t run.

Shinji : I accept it.

He said with a face of determination this time he won’t run from his problem like he always did. As Shinji was about to follow Optimus, Plungerman stopped him by grabbing his wrist.

Plungerman : Before you go kiddo, I have something to tell you…

Shinji : Yeah tell me what do you want to say.                                                                                                                                                        

Plungerman : I didn’t know they were going to make you pilot this robot. I am sorry, please believe me…

Shinji : Don’t worry I believe you, you raised me for like the last decade you’re kinda like my father.

Suddenly, Plungerman pulled Shinji into a tight hug.

Plungerman: Please, kick that Angel's ass for me.

Shinji: Don't worry, I will.

Plungerman : Then bye. 

Shinji : Bye! 

He waved his hand at Plugnerman.

Plungerman pulled away from Shinji and headed for the exit door. 

Out of nowhere Saber appears behind Shinji and says.

Saber : Move out of the way. 

Shinji shifts to one side to let Saber through. Saber stepped forward, carefully lifting Rei into his arms in a bridal carry. As he held her close, black smoke began to materialize around him. Before Shinji could say goodbye to Rei, the smoke consumed them both. In an instant, they vanished.

Saber’s voice echoed softly through the dissipating mist.

Saber : You're going to be okay, my little lamb.

Plungerman leaves the Eva cage. He walks through NERV until he finds the cameraman's section. It was completely empty after all they needed everyone for the battle against the angel. But there were three cameramen. One wore a lab white coat  while he covered his head in distress for unknown reasons, the second was a woman who wore a long trench coat, she was watching the third cameraman with impatience while but putting her hand in her hips. and the third had a brown coat and yellow and purple tie he was pressing on the red button of the code lock. They were all about to leave the section until the one wearing a white lab coat noticed his presence. 

John : Hey Plunger what are you doing here? 

Plungerman : Hi John. I was just walking in the base, you know… 

He said in a tone like he was hiding something. 

John : Hey what's wrong? What happened? You know you can tell me everything, Plunger. 

Plungerman : Shinji is the one piloting the Eva. I'm scared of what is going to happen to him. He inclines his head in concern for Shinji. 

John put his hand on Plungerman's shoulder to reassure him. 

John : Don't worry, I'm sure that Shinji is a smart kid. And is not like he will be alone in this battle. The autobots and you will be helping him out. 

Plungerman gave a confused look. 

Plungerman : What do you mean by “you”. I genuinely wish I could help him but I'm not strong enough. I don't have the strength of a titan.

John : I have something for you that can do the job. But before I show it to you, I need to introduce you to someone you know.

Plungerman : Who? 

The camerawoman who wore a long trench coat walked toward Plungerman. 

???: Hi, it's been a while, Plungerman. So how does it feel being a single father?   She said, chuckling.

Plungerman: Plungerwoman? Is that really you? As for being a single father, it's... decent, I suppose. But honestly, I’ve missed you.

Plungerwoman : After this, can we hang out? 

Plungerman : Uh yes absolutely. Also who is that guy next to you?

Plungerwoman : Oh that uh.. I can't believe I've forgotten your name. What is it again? 

??? : My name is Admirens. And people call me Simp Cameraman. I hate that name. 

Plungerman : Oh I see why people call you Simp Cameraman even though it is an awful name but nice to meet you Admirens. 

The two cameramen shake their hands in mutual respect.

John : Now that you've met her. I need you to show this weapon I made just for you.

Then John takes Plungerman's hand and brings him to the scientist area. 

Plungerman : So what is this suppose weapon be-

Before he finishes his sentence he looks at the vehicle. The vehicle seems to be made with the body of a skibidi toilet. Precisely the glitch skibidi toilet. 

Plungerman : Woah you weren't joking when you said. The Alliance Science Team is going to use his corpse. So what is it called? 

John : The Glitchmobile. A vehicle designed for you. Plungerman. 

Plungerman : Oh really? I'm flattered. I guess this is the only model right now? 

John : Yeah it is the only model right now. We don't have enough samples to produce them in masses. 

Plungerman : I see. So what does this vehicle do? 

John : It can run as fast as Sonic. And yeah, you probably guessed but you can ram enemies with those spikes. It can shout out plungers. Also you have a charge ability that can slam your enemies with deadly force. 

As Plungerman listened, he gently ran his hand over the Glitchmobile, with a little bit of curiosity. 

Plungerman : Thank you John. 

John responded with a thumbs-up. 

Outside of the NERV HQ.

In Tokyo-3, rescue cameramen units are sent out to take care of civilian evacuations, and Fred is one of them. 

A large cameraman, who wore a red shirt under a black coat. He was walking in the devastated city searching for any remaining survivors.

The cameraman walks cautiously through the city and holds his laser cannon tightly, fearing that the angel may attack at any moment. He continued to take light steps until he heard what sounded like a child crying. 

Fred : Is that a child? That I'm hearing, I need to see it myself. 

He walked forward the sound. After a 5-minute walk through the city. Fred finally found the source of the children's cries. 

Fred : Hey kiddo are you okay–

But before he could finish his sentence, he realized that next to the child were blood-covered debris. 

Fred : Is that the blood of your parents? 

The child wiped away his tears and replied with a tone of voice that said he was holding back tears.

??? : No, only my mom. My father died years ago.

Fred : I guess she died by saving you from being crushed under the rumbles. 

??? : Yes. You're right she saved my life. But now I'm alone without mommy. 

He said as tears fell in his eyes. 

Fred : Hey Kid don't cry. Your mother wouldn't want you to cry. 

The kid replied. 

??? : You're right she wouldn't want me to cry because boys don't cry. 

Fred : Your mother wouldn’t want you to cry because boys shouldn’t cry. She would want you to be happy to move forward. Now take my hand, I will bring you to the nearest shelter.

As Fred reassured.

The robot stands genuflecting in front of the boy. He holds out his hand in the boy's direction, indicating that he can take his hand. 

??? : Okay, I will take your hand. 

As the child responded. He took Fred's hand, the cameraman in a flash, the child was on Fred's back. 

Fred : I can't believe I've forgotten to ask your name. 

??? : Oh my name is Jeremy. 

Fred : Mine is Fred. 

Jeremy : Is your name a shorter version of Freddy? 

Fred : Hmmm no this is not a shorter version. Fred is just my name. 

Jeremy : Oh sorry.                                  

He felt embarrassed for being wrong.

Fred : It's fine, don't worry, people always make that mistake. Now we're going to fly. 

The kid blinked his eyes after hearing the word flying. 

Jeremy : Flying? You don't have wings. 

Fred : And you're right and this is why I'm using my jetpack. But like hang on, because I don't want you to fall or my reactors start to burn out on your legs.

Jeremy : Uh what? I will try to hang on.

The boy holds on tight to his back. 

Fred activates his jetpack and he flies away from the zone searching for a shelter. 

Fred : Looks like they're all closed. Then I guess you have to stay with me. 

Jeremy : Cool.                                       

He said, smiling at the knowledge that Fed was obliged to stay with him. 

Fred : But you have to stay with me really closely. 

The cameraman stops his jetpack and lands softly on the ground. Unexpectedly two missiles are heading towards Fred. 

Fred : Sh-, kid go hide into the building now.                                                        

He said as he pointed toward the collapsed building.  Jeremy listened to Fred and ran at full speed towards the building. But before Jeremy could hide in the building the missiles hit the ground. Sending both Fred and Jeremy flying backward. After Fred regains his senses, he realizes that he has lost his left arm due to the impact of the explosion. 

Fred : Looks like losing an arm seems to be a normal thing for an alliance member. Is Jeremy okay? I have to look at him. 

Before he could stand up, a purple and cyan jet flew toward Fred descendly rapidly and in an instant, the jet transformed into a tall robotic lady.

Fred : Slipstream, what the hell she is doing–

Before Fred could finish his sentence, Slipstream grabbed him by the throat. 

Slipstream : You puny cameraman, you think you can run away from a seeker? You will pay for your crimes against the decepticon. 

He tries to free himself by striking the Cybertronian's arm violently, but it has no effect, just amusing the decepticon.

Slipstream : You're too cute thinking you can harm me. 

Fred : Let me go! Now. 

Slipstream : I will take please tearing your wires out of your–

Before she could finish her sentence, she got shot two at the back of her wings, letting go of Fred 's throat. The seeker turned her back to see three autobots, and she recognized them immediately. Standing before them was Drift, the blue and black ex-decepticon, a traitor to the Decepticon cause. In the center stood Ironhide, his arms raised horizontally, ready to fire at any moment. Behind them, Bumblebee had his blaster locked onto Slipstream direction, his stance unwavering, showing once again that he will shoot at any moment. And Jeremy was on his back. 

Slipstream : You are lucky this time, you cameraman, that your autobots friends are here. I've had to retreat. Goodbye. 

Bumblebee : Yeah go away, you coward! 

She jumped, transformed back to her jet form, flew away from the autobots to the opposite direction through the sky. 

Fred : Facing decepticons didn't miss me, I prefer fighting skibidi toilets.                   

He mumbled. 

Ironhide walks toward Fred. He knelt to his side. He holds out his hand to help Fred stand up. 

Ironhide : Are you okay? 

Fred : I've known better days.

Fred takes Ironhide's hand and gets up quite easily. 

Fred : Did you see a kid with you–.        

He stops talking after noticing that Jeremy is on Bumblebee's back.

Fred : Thank god. You're alive.                $

He sighs with relief. Jeremy gets off Bumblebee's back and walks over to Fred. And hugs his leg tightly. 

Fred : I'm happy that you're okay Jeremy but sadly that's where our paths diverge. 

Jeremy : Why?

Fred : Look you're not safe with me, look what did that decepticon to me, I lost my arm. You're safer with them than with me. He pointed out his left arm torn off. 

Jeremy : Then bye… 

He stops hugging Fred's leg, Bumblebee and Ironhide turn into their vehicle modes in the blink of an eye.  Ironhide opens the passenger door to let the child into the car.  Jeremy waved goodbye to Fred, he lowered his head in sadness. Without another word, he turned and stepped into Ironhide’s van, shutting the door behind him. The engine rumbled to life as Ironhide rolled away, Bumblebee following close behind. However, Drift remained behind, choosing to stay with Fred. 

Fred : Why don't you go with them? 

Drift : I can't let you alone, look what a single decepticon did to you and also because you're my friend, I want to spend more time with you. 

Fred : Even more times than your boyfriend?                                                

He said sarcastically and mockingly. 

This sentence made Drift die of laughter. 

Drift : Nice joke buddy. But I love my Ratchet more than the whole universe. 

Fred held out his right fist, offering a fist bump with his friend. Drift glanced at him for a moment before smirking slightly and meeting the gesture with his own fist. It was a short moment but this moment demonstrated their sincere friendship and their respect for each other. 

Back in the evangelion cage

Eva's cage had been cooled, leaving only her arm exposed. The cooling process was done, and her right arm was fixed in place perfectly. Every light on the control panel said that the feed point to the cage was working, and the final check the breeze activation signal had been discharged.

In the command center,. Maya stood at the front, her eyes glued to the screens with streams of data. Behind her, Misato and Ritsuko kept a close watch on every detail. While Wheeljack was in the control room looking at the panels. 

At the same moment Shinji was seated in the entry plug, a cylindrical cockpit. It slides into the Eva’s spine. 

“Filling the entry plug.”

A message that Shinji heard in the Eva. As the plug seals, it begins to fill with a strange orange liquid. 

Shinji : What is this?? 

Shinji said as he panicked at the view of this liquid. 

The liquid fills the entire cockpit, forcing Shinji to hold his breath. 

Ritsuko : Relax Shinji. Start breathing normally and let our lungs be filled with LCL. It supplies your blood with oxygen. You will get used to it soon. 

So Shinji stopped holding his breath. And let the LCL fill his lungs.

Shinji : This thing is disgusting. 

Misato : Stop complaining and act like a man! 

The command center was alive with activity. Technicians hurriedly checked their monitors, calling out status updates.

"Connecting the main power supply."
"No faults detected."
"Well received."
"Secondary connection initiated."
"Connecting the A10 nerve link. No anomalies detected."
"Switching cognitive mode to Japanese by default."

As the woman's words echoed through the cockpit. The Eva's eyes opened, flickered to life and glowed ominously. Shinji could finally see what was happening outside of the mecha. Shinji gasped.  

Maya’s eyes stayed glued to her console.
Maya: "Neural synchronization at 75%... increasing... now at 95%."

Misato leaned closer to the microphone, her voice soft but determined.
Misato : This is it, Shinji. You’re not alone, Optimus and the autobots will come to help you but for now trust yourself and trust the Eva. Now activate the launch of Eva 01 in one, two, three, four, five, go!

At that moment, the platform on which Eva stood began to rise. With a loud rumble, Eva was launched into the city, hurtling through the air, while far off, the angel was seen walking into the city. The angel turned into curiosity to see what kind of weapon the human sent to him to stop him this time. For a moment Shinji and the angel both looked at each other. In the cockpit Shinji was nervous he was about to fight the same monster that almost crushed him. He really didn’t know what his next move would be.

Misato : Hey Shinji, are you ready?

She said by talking into the microphone.

Shinji : Yes.

Misato : Deactivate the latest safety locks! 

The locks attached to the shoulders are removed and the Eva is now free to move. 

Misato : Launch now! 

Wheeljack : Shinji thinks like a Cybertronian who is about to transform. This is what moving with Eva 01 must feel like. 

Misato : Wheeljack are you stupid? Shinji isn't a Cybertronian, this is the dumbest analogy I've heard in my entire life. Anyway don't listen to what Wheeljack said. Focus on the idea of walking. 

Shinji : Walking… 

As Shinji processes those words in his head. He successfully moves the Eva Taking a gigantic step on the ground nearby, the glass of a telephone booth shatters.

Everyone in the command center was impressed he managed to take a step. 

Ritsuko : He took a step. 

She said, impressed by Shinji.

Shinji : I have to walk. 

He said as he moved with difficulty the mecha until he accidentally trips the mecha on the floor.  

Shinji in the cockpit tries to regain consciousness after the shock. But before he could rest. Misato calls him. 

Misato : Shinji watch out!

She said, trying to warn the angel that was approaching him.

Misato : Quick, Hurry up and get up. 

But Shinji was absolutely too nervous to do anything. The sight of the Angel in front made him freeze in fear. The angel grabs the Eva by his head and lifts him. In the cockpit Shinji could see the palm of the angel's hand in the middle of his hand was a kind of mini red core. He was in a complete panic, and all he could do was watch whatever the angel did with the mecha. He was in complete panic, his hands trembling with fear. But the Angel grabs the mecha wrist and lifts it up. His arm suddenly starts gaining muscle and he tries to tear off the mecha left arm. Shinji starts feeling the pain of the angel's attempt to tear off Eva's arm. He's holding his own left arm. The more time passed, the closer the monster came to completely tearing off the robot's arm.  As Wheeljack watches Shinji getting his ass whooped by the Angel. He took his tablet and sent out a distress signal to all the autobots in the area, who were probably helping civilians take refuge in the shelters.

Misato : What are you doing Wheeljack? 

Wheeljack : Calling backup for the kid, he cannot win this fight alone. 

Misato : That's a good plan. I hope you didn't call them. Right? 

Wheeljack: Who... ? 

He wondered who she was talking about. But he soon realized who. 

Wheeljack : Oh them. Yeah, I didn't call them, obviously. 

Shinji groaned in pain. His left arm was popping out of his veins in excruciating pain. 

Ritsuko : Shinji calm down, this is not your arm that is injured. Is only an illusion. 

The more time passed, the closer the angel came to ripping Eva 01's arm off.

Ritsuko : Where is his defense system? 

Maya : It's deactivated. 

Wheeljack : The A.T. Field doesn't form. 

Ritsuko : He's not gonna make it. 

Surprisingly the angel didn't tear off the arm of the Eva but instead broke his wrist. We could hear the sound of the bone breaking. His hand becomes loose because the bone in his wrist breaks. Shinji felt an immense pain coursing through his body. Like Ritsuko said, he knew that his wrist wasn’t actually fractured, but his brain made him feel as if it were. One of the technician said :

“The arm is damaged!”

Wheeljack : Cut the circuits immediately. 

The angel lifts the Eva higher. And his lance-like bone that is on his forearm starts emitting purple energy. His palms are also beginning to emit this violet energy. 

Misato : Shinji, get out of here now! 

But sadly Shinji wasn't fast enough to react to the angel attack. The boy could only gasp. The angel tried to impale Eva 01 head five times. Each time the armor broke and lost its strength. 

Maya : The front area has been severely damaged. 

Ritsuko : The armor can't keep it that long.

Misato : When are the autobots coming? Wheeljack. 

She said as she looked nervously at the autobot. 

Wheeljack : In 15 minutes. Shinji needs to hold on for a while.

Maya, Misato, Ritsuko the three of them looked at the Cybertronian with their eyes. widened and they all shouted at once :

15 minutes?!? 

Misato : Shinji might be dead after those minutes have passed. 

Maya : The more time passes the closer is the angel to impale Eva-01 head. 

Ritsuko : If we want Shinji to have a chance of survival we need a distraction.

Misato : But we have no one right now. 

The angel struck again twice. Each time he landed a blow that we could see the mecha's armored skull crack.  The final blow was so strong that it passed through the skull. The hit sent Eva crashing backwards against a nearby. building. His right hand collapsed on another building and it crushed the top floors of the building. Blood begins to spurt from Eva's skull. Because of the impalement made by the Angel. 

Wheeljack : The head is damaged but unfortunately I can't say what the extent of the damage is. 

Maya : The control circuits of the nervous system are cut. 

Another technician said. 

“The pilot is not responding.”

Misato puts her hand in front of her mouth after witnessing the scene in shock but she pulls herself together. 

She starts screaming at the top of her voice. 

Misato : Shinji wake up!

Maya : Wait, this is weird. 

Misato : What do you see? 

Wheeljack : What is happening? 

Maya : Our sensors are detecting an unknown object rushing toward the south of the angel. And in the north we have five unknown objects and one of them is emitting chaos energy rushing also rushing toward the angel. 

Maya gave a confusing look. Chaos energy, how is that possible. Only one person in the whole planet can have that type of energy. There is no way this is him. 

Everyone in the center was shocked, surprised and amazed to learn this information. Even Gendo and Kozo, who were sitting behind everyone else, seemed to be surprised by the news. Gendo remained motionless, masking the slight tension on his face after learning this revelation. 

Gendo was thinking in his head. 

Gendo : How could this hedgehog still be alive? He died two years ago by sacrificing himself against Mephiles. There was no trace left. Did he lie or did someone resurrect him?

Gendo : I guess a little help may be necessary. Try to contact Shadow if we can. 

Kozo : Do you think he will be willing to work with us? 

Gendo : If there are innocent lives involved, Shadow will intervene to protect them. That alone makes him a potential ally for us.

Kozo : Maybe your intuition is right.

Maya : Contact with Shadow is impossible. 

Wheeljack : But we can send visuals.                                                                        

As the cybertronian presses a button, the screen lights up and reveals a video of Shadow blazing through the city by gliding with his air shoes. Beside him there was a hedgehog who was similar to him but he was blue. Behind them there was a plane soared through the sky, piloted by a yellow anthropomorphic fox. Perched on one of its wings, a pink hedgehog wearing a red skirt stood in a fighting stance, holding her giant hammer back. To their side, a red echidna wearing white gloves propelled himself forward with his arms outstretched and his legs back as he flew.

As Gendo predicted the four others unknown objects were Tails the fox, Knuckles the echidna, Amy Rose and the legendary blue blur, Sonic. 

Gendo : Seems like Shadow has brought up his friends. 

Kozo : But where are Omega and Rouge. Aren't they supposed to be on the same team?

Gendo : Yes their team was called Team Dark they used to work for G.U.N before Shadow “died”. Wheeljack sends visuals of the unknown object on the south.

Wheeljack : Yes Sir. 

The screen lights up again to reveal Plungerman in a toilet-like vehicle with electric power around it flying at great speed in the city.

Misato : Plungerman! What the hell is he doing?

Ritsuko rolled her eyes at the sigh of Plungerman. 

Ritsuko : There is no way he thinks he stands a chance against the angel. And who gave him the order anyway. 

Maya : Maybe he knows, he just wants to be a distraction so Shinji can have time to reconnect with the Eva. 

Ritsuko : That's actually a smart strategy. 

Gendo : This idiot is heading towards his own demise but this is typical behavior from Plungerman. Always heading first before thinking, I don’t know if this is bravery or just pure stupidity. 

Kozo : I would say it is a mix of both Gendo.

(insert this music below)

Outside the NERV HQ.

Shadow, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy were running through Tokyo-3 forward the angel. With one objective: stop the angel from destroying the city and protect the Eva-01. 

Shadow : So everyone remembers the plan right?                                            

Wondered Shadow, he said, hoping that he wouldn't have to repeat the plan again. 

Sonic : No to be honest wasn't listening to you when you explained the plan Shadow. 

Shadow : Seriously Sonic...    

Shadow groaned in frustration after hearing that Sonic didn't listen to his plan. 

Shadow : I will tell you a short version. So you and Tails, you try to help the pilot. Me, Knuckles and Amy we're holding the angel off while you two try to repair the Eva-01. 

Sonic : Oh ok now I get it. Why didn't you make a sum up of your plan earlier?  

Sonic says it sarcastically and mockingly, hoping to piss Shadow off. 

Shadow : What!? You said two seconds ago that you didn't listen to me. This is why I've made a sum up of the plan, Sonic.

Sonic : Whatever you say grandpa. 

Shadow : Grandpa? After this battle is over. I'm kicking your ass at Mobius. 

Sonic : I think it is time for us to separate Shadow. Bye. 

He said in a mocking tone. 

After Tails, Amy, Knuckles heard it was time to part ways. Amy jumps out of the wing of Tails' plane. Amy runs after Shadow with her hammer in hand, Knuckles flies above Shadow. Tails heads his plane for Sonic's side. 

Amy : I can't believe this will be my first time working with you Shadow!            

She said with a tone of ecstasy. Before Tails and Sonic left them so they could join Eva-01. Shadow said.

Shadow : Before you leave, I wish you good luck my friends. 

Tail : I mean if anyone needs luck it is you. You're going to fight that monster not alone but still. 

Sonic : Bye Shadow, Knuckles and Amy. 

Knuckles nodded in acknowledgment, Shadow gave a side eye at Sonic before looking away and Amy waved her hand at Sonic with a warm smile. 

Meanwhile in the south of the city. 

Plungerman flew through Tokyo-3 at high velocity. The more the Glitchmobile gets faster the more electricity starts getting around the vehicle. 

Plungerman : I can’t believe I'm going to fight that monster. But I guess anything for Shinji. I have to protect the boy. 

After he said that. He increases the speed of the Glitchmobile. Going ten times faster than he already was. After 5 minutes of flying in the city, Plungerman finally found the angel but he didn't notice him. The monster was too busy searching for a way to Geofront by using his cross explosion continuously. 

Plungerman : The angel didn't notice my presence. It will give me the advantage of the surprise attack. 

Then Plungerman rammed into the angel back multiple times at his back. 

The angel groaned in annoyance after being hit by the Glitchmobile. The monster was trying to understand who hurt him but Plungerman with his Glitchmobile was too fast for him to catch up. 

The monster turned his back to see who was ramming his back. Plungerman and the angel are face to face. The angel eyes gave a look of frustration at Plungerman. The only thing that he wanted to do was crush Plungerman under his hand. 

Plungerman : I guess you finally noticed me. Now that you got my attention. Take this. 

After saying that, he activates his charging ability to attack the angel in the face. He rushes toward the Angel but suddenly the monster raises his arm and grabs the vehicle before he could reach his head.

Plungerman : What? How are you that fast! Shit–

Plungerman could feel the strength of the angel grip at his vehicle. He could crush it at any moment  So as a last resort, he shot two of his plungers at the angel's face in hope, it would let go of the Gltichmobile but today it seems like it was Plungerman unlucky day, the monster did not flinch a little bit from the spiky plungers. All he did was make him annoyed.

Plungerman : I guess today, is the day I die. This kid is going to miss me so much…                                    

He puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a photo medallion. He opens it to reveal a picture of him holding Shinji when he was six years old. This picture brings warmth to his mind. He held it closely to his chest for a moment, he closed it and put it in his pocket.

Plungerman : Honestly, screw you!                                                                                       

He flipped the middle finger at the Angel, a smirk forming as he tried to piss it off.

Out of nowhere behind the angel, Plungerman could see a red echidna jumping toward the angel's back. 

His arms were raised and his fists clenched to the sky. Ready to strike the angel. 

And in the blink of an eye. The red echidna was already behind the angel's head on the verge of hitting him. 

Because of the little mobility of the angel all he could do was turn his eyes to see the creature that was about to attack him.

The punch finally hit the angel's face, because of the pain that he felt after the echidna punched him on the face. He let go of the Glitchmobile, Plungerman was finally free from the angel grip, he turned and headed for the echidna. 

The shock of the attack sends the angel crashing to the ground. The ground shook violently and so did the buildings, which were on the verge of collapsing. The ground leaves gigantic cracks. 

Plungerman : Wait, are you Knuckles, the guardian of the master emerald on angel island?

Knuckles : Yes, that's right, Mr. Robot, I'm honored that people recognize me. 

Out of nowhere, a black hedgehog with red stripes teleported in front of them. 

Plungerman was surprised to see this hedgehog was capable of teleportation. 

??? : Stop trying to make new friends, Knuckles, we have a mission to accomplish. 

Knuckles : I mean the mission is already accomplished. Look what I did to his monster. The echidna said with a tone of pride. 

Suddenly there was another hedgehog. The hedgehog was pink, she held a giant hammer in her hand, and stood for whatever came next. 

??? : Who are you? Are you one of those robots made by HSquare? I always dreamed of meeting one. My name is Amy by the way. 

Plungerman : Wait, how do you know that–

Before Plungerman could finish his sentence, Shadow interrupted him. 

Shadow : We don't have the time for this, Stay focused, we've got an angel to take down. 

He points out the monster on the ground. 

Knuckles : Don't worry I'm pretty sure it is dead.

At that moment, the creature rose to its feet, its torso twisting unnaturally to face the echidna. Rage burned in his eyes as he fixed at the mobian.

The hedghehog gave a side eye to the echidna even though it was only a glance, Knuckles understood.

Shadow : What did you say? Again you moron.

The echidna crossed his arm, rolled his eyes at Shadow and with a tone of confidence.

Knuckles : Look I admit I was wrong but look we have the numerical advantage.

Plungerman replied.                                                                                                                                             

Plungerman : You do realize this angel survived a N² bomb right?

Amy : Who cares, Knuckles is right we are three–, I mean four, while this monster is alone we can do this!

Shadow : So on my signal, we attack him at the same time okay. 

Amy stood there with her hammer, ready to leap up and attack the angel. Knuckles slammed his two fists together in a sign of readiness and determination. Plungerman activated his charging ability, an electric aura materializing around the mobile Glitchmobile. 

Shadow : One, two, three and go! 

Shadow jumps out of the ground, Amy and Knuckles immediately follows him. The three of them headed towards the angel to attack it. As Plungerman was charging its load capacity. He had finally finished and in a few seconds had caught up with the trio. Amy, who was in front of Shadow, carried her hammer with both hands, ready to launch a devastating attack against the angel. Knuckles, who was also in front of Shadow, has his propels forward, arms out, legs back.

Shadow : Chaos Spears! 

As he screamed this attack. Six yellow spears of energy materialize around the hedgehog. 

Shadow throws the spears at the angel in hope it will knock him out and it worked only for a moment, the monster comes to his senses quickly before the whole group could touch him. A shield of orange energy appears and protects the angel from their attack. And the shield pushes the group violently, sending everyone to the ground. Shadow was knocked on the ground. Plungerman was crushed by the Glitchmobile, losing a hand from the impact. Amy has lost her hammer and she was completely knocked by the shock. Her knees on the ground. She was on the verge of fainting, her hands trembling with pain. Only Knuckles had a decent landing. He uses his hand to break his fall, leaving gigantic cracks in the ground.

Knuckles : Are you guys ok? 

Shadow : Absolutely no. 

Plungerman : Can someone get me out of here. My back is being crushed. 

Amy tries to stand up. 

Amy : Where is my hammer?

Plungerman : We need to hurry up, the monster is walking toward us. Please somebody help me! 

Shadow stands up immediately. Walking towards Plungerman, he lifts the Glitchmobile and carries Plungerman under his back. 

Plungerman : Woah, thank you Shadow. 

Shadow rolled his eyes after hearing Plungerman thank him. 

Shadow : There is no need to thank me. What I did is normal. 

Amy : We need to go. We've made the monster angry. 

Knuckles : I agree with you, my friend. 

But the monster was already in front of them, raising his foot and preparing to crush the group. 

Shadow : Guys watch out! 

Amy and Knuckles were surprised to see their friend Shadow screaming at them. But when they noticed the monster's foot for no apparent reason, they froze in fear.

Shadow : You dumbass move out of the way! 

Knuckles : I don't know how to explain it but I can't move. 

Amy : I feel the same–

Long before Amy could finish her sentence. Out of nowhere, a blue and red truck rolls up to the group. The back of the vehicle turns into legs, and the rest of the truck turns into a robot. Everyone recognized him as Optimus Prime, leader of the autobots. And in a flash he holds on to the angel's foot to stop it running over Knuckles and Amy. 

Optimus : Go away, I can't hold him for too long. 

Everyone follows Optimus' orders and flees from the angel. 

Amy : I'm surprised that Optimus didn't ask any question of the fact that you're back from the dead. 

Plungerman : He just didn't care. 

Shadow : He saw innocent people in danger. Saving us is all that matters to him.

On the side of Sonic and Tails. 

Sonic ran to and Tails flew to Eva 01.

Sonic : Finally we found it. Hey Tails, hurry up. 

Tails : Hey I'm doing my best!

Sonic ran vertically on the building where the hand of evangelion stands. And it reaches the top of the building in a matter of seconds. 

Sonic : Where are you Tails?

He said impatiently, wondering where his friend could be.

Tails landed on top of the building, on his feets while being down. 

Sonic scratched his head and closed his eyes, saying. 

Sonic : Is it me or have you become slower than usual, buddy? 

Tails : Are you serious right now? Sonic. 

He stood up and crossed his arms. Sighing. 

Tails : Anyway this isn't the subject of today. We have to find a way to somehow wake up this mecha.

Sonic : And how? Is not like we need to hurry up and the city will be destroyed. 

He said in a sarcastic tone. 

Tails pulls out his Miles Electric. A yellow multi-functional device. 

He sets the device towards the evangelion. 

Sonic : What are you doing? 

Tails : I'm searching for a heartbeat to see if the pilot is alive. 

As he was scanning the robot with the device for signs of life.

Sonic : I hope they are. Because they need to improve their skills. Because they suck at piloting. I can't believe this is an adult in this mecha. 

Tails : What makes you say that? 

Sonic : Duh because The NERV won't be dumb enough to send an inexperienced child against that overgrown skeleton without any training. Also do you see a heartbeat? 

Tails : Yeah I've found one. 

Sonic : Good, now I have an idea how to wake him up. 

Tails : What is it? 

Sonic : I shook him awake. 

Tails : Wait what? Wait no, don't do this–          

Before Tails could stop him Sonic charges up a spin dash. He slammed through Eva-01's chest in a blazing velocity multiple times.

Then the evangelion's left eye lights up yellow for a moment. The mecha fingers twitch. Inside the cockpit, Shinji gasped. His eyes snapped as this sudden urge energy courses through the Eva, it forcibly tearing open his wired-shut jaws revealing red mechanical teeths.

At the same time in the command center. 

The dim glow of the monitors reflects off tense faces as everyone watches the event happening. The entire room is silent for a brief moment then Eva-01 stirs.

Misato : Activate the ejection of the entry plug now!

Wheeljack : We can't…                                                                                                           

As he looked at his own console, his hand trembled in shock. The data on the console confirmed one of his worst fears. 

Misato : What do you mean by we can't eject him out of the Eva?! 

Maya eyes are widening in shock.                                                                            

Maya : Because Eva-01 is… reactivating but he does it on his own!

Ritsuko replied with her sharp voice.                                                                                 

Ritsuko : That impact somehow woke up Eva-01, it must have triggered something inside of her. 

Kozo crossed his arms, furrowing his brow.

Kozo : Fascinating. It would seem the Sonic recklessness has yielded has activated Unit-01 bersek mode.

Gendo with a calm tone, but with a hint of interest.                                                          

Gendo : Perhaps the presence of these mobians is more useful than we anticipated Kozo. 

At the head of the room, Gendo steepled his fingers, his expression unreadable.

Back to Tokyo-3 

The glowing eye of Eva-01 locks onto Sachiel, its roar echoing across the battlefield. 

Sonic was startled, not expecting his plan to work. Sonic almost fell backwards out of fear. Tails is startled too, his two tails tense and his legs shake with fear.

Tails : What the hell! 

Sonic : I think I’ve made him angry. 

Tails : I think we should start running. 

Tails swings his two tails into the air and holds out his hand for Sonic to take. Sonic jumps and grabs Tails' hand. They both flew away from the scene. 

Tails : Should we join the others? 

Sonic : Definitely. 

Eva 01 grips the top of the building tightly and bends down, preparing to jump. Lowering his knees, he leaps towards the angel. The ground shatters from the impact of the jump. 

Sonic : I didn't know he could jump that high. Good for him I guess. 

When the evangelion jumped on the angel. She landed on his torso because of the weight the angel legs were shaking, Eva-01 grabbed the angel's main head so he could crush it. The angel grabs Eva's right shoulder to get it off his chest. The angel succeeds by sending the evangelion flying but his main head got severely injured, the mecha catches himself by doing a back somersault in mid-air. He lands on the ground without too much difficulty but debris shatters due to landing impact . The mecha gives his back to the angel, who quickly turns around and charges towards him as they roar.

At the same moment in the commander center

Kozo : We’ve won. 

The angel lifted himself up and when Eva 01 was about to hit him, the mecha was pushed a few meters by an unknown force to reveal itself as an orange shield.

Wheeljack : The angel used an A.T shield again.

Ritsuko gave a look of shock at the display.                                                                                                                                       

Ritsuko : Is that an A.T Shield!

Misato : Is no use, as long the A.T field is here.

Ritsuko : The Eva can’t touch him. 

Unit 01 gets into fighting position and clenches its fist. And the damaged part of her forearm regenerates with a purple light materializing around the wound. 

Wheeljack : His left arm is restored. 

Ritsuko was impressed and Misato, sweating, said 

Misato : Incredible. 

The Eva grabs the shield, he tries to open it by using his two hands. 

Maya : Eva 01 is creating an A.T field. The space of the angel phase is being destroyed. 

Ritsuko : No, it is being corroded. 

After a little of difficulty the Eva succeeded in tearing through the A.T field. Split it in two and the shield starts to disappear. 

Misato : He tore through the A.T. field like it was nothing. 

After the angel shield got torn down. His eyes start lighting up and a sound of loading is heard and out comes a giant ray which razes all that was in front of him and at the end it forms a cross. This hit the evangelion, who could do nothing to avoid the devastating attack. 

At the same time further away in Tokyo-3. 

The group ran as fast as they could. As Shadow carries Plungerman on his back. 

Shadow : Do you know where we can find the nearest shelter?

Plungerman : All of them are closed right now. The only thing that we can do right is hiding in one of the buildings. 

Amy huffed, trying to catch her breath.

Amy : Hey guys can we slow down a little bit?

Knuckles : Absolutely no little one, our new friend is injured. We have to bring to the NERV HQ. So he can get repairs.

Shadow : I just realized I didn't even ask your name. 

Plungerman : My name is–

Before he could finish his sentence, Plungerman realized there is a beam closing in on them at full speed and he pointed at it. 

Plungerman : Guys watchout! 

Everyone ducked to avoid the beam, but Amy didn't have time to react, so Knuckles tried to save her, but sadly he wasn't fast enough. 

Knuckles : Amy, grab my hand! 

But then, without warning, Optimus appears out of nowhere, he grabbed Amy and transformed into his truck mode, securing her safely inside.

Optimus starts rolling to the left of the city to avoid the beam. 

After a while the beam faded. 

Back to the battle of the angel against Eva 01

The beam only pushes away Eva 01. She took little to no damage from the beam. In a flash she grabs both of the angel's wrists and twists them violently to break them. Blue blood comes out of wrists. 

Eva 01 kicked the angel at his core and pushed him violently against a building, dust billowed upon impact.

On impact, Eva 01 was above the angel  

The Eva charges toward the angel and she slams into the angel. Driving both the building and the angel backward with her strength.

On impact, Eva 01 was on top of the angel. 

She held the angel on her right shoulder and her left arm to keep her still. 

She let the angel go only to punch the angel core twice. After this she grabs the visibles bones on the creature's torso. She tore off the one on the right. She grabs the bone with both hands and starts stabbing the angel core. Each time he stabbed the core it cracked, The angel began to cry out in pain and lifted his head.

He wraps his arms around her and all of his body wraps around Eva 01 the angel curls himself into a ball. The core starts to glow with white light and he begins to explode. In a massive cross-shaped green explosion it only destroyed a part of Tokyo-3. 

Further away in Tokyo-3

Drift and Fred rushed through the city to help the Eva. But they stopped in their tracks as they saw the explosion. 

Fred : What the hell is this? 

Drift : I can't believe Wheeljack wanted us to fight that thing. 

Fred : I hope Shinji is okay. 

Raises an eyebrow.                              

Drift : Shinji? Who is that? 

Fred : The son of Gendo, the new pilot. 

The cybetronian nodding slowly.                                     

Drift : Oh okay. Yeah I hope he's alright then. 

At the same time at the commander center.

Everyone watched the screen as it blinded with white light. The light faded to show the Eva walking in the burning city with his right eye glowing with a yellow light. fears and surprises filled the room. As they watched with a loud silence.

Wheeljack : The last time I've seen this rage in someone's face was when Grimlock fought Bruticus 10 years ago. 

Ritsuko : This thing isn't a person. It is a man made mechanical beast. 

Misato : What happened to the Eva? 

Ritsuko : It showed his true nature. 

Gendo smirked under his glasses at the sight of the Eva on the screen. He liked what he saw. His hands clasped together. 

6 hours later, and at the NERV Headquarters Hospital Section. 

Shinji slowly woke up in his hospital bed, his vision blurry. He blinked, seeing his sensei Plungerman sitting beside him. Misato was on Prowl's lap, and Optimus Prime sat on the floor nearby. Sonic stood with a grin, while Shadow paced in circles. Amy, concerned, stood at the edge of the bed, waiting for him to wake up.

Misato : Are you okay? asked softly.

Shinji : What’s going on? Who are those mobians?

He glanced around, confused. 

Sonic jumped in, grinning.                                

Sonic : You don't know me, Shadow or Amy? We literally saved the world multiple times. 

Shinji : Sorry I don't know you. 

Sonic proudly declared.                      

Sonic : I'm Sonic the hedgehog , the fastest thing in the universe! Are you sure you don't know me?

The boy titled his head.                       

Shinji : I thought Sonic was the black hedgehog. 

The blue hedgehog eyes widened.     

Sonic : What!?! 

Shadow gave a glare and he snapped.                  

Shadow : There is no way you compared me to that idiot. 

Amy chuckled. She enjoyed watching Shadow getting mad. 

Plungerman : It doesn't matter, we're here for you now, Shinji.                                       

He nodded and, without hesitation, pulled the boy into a comforting hug.

Shinji : Thanks you.                                 

He accepts the cuddle and hug back.

Optimus Prime : You’re safe now.                                        

He said it as his calm voice echoed. 

Shadow crossed his arms, giving Shinji a puzzled look. 

Shadow : I can't believe this is the same kid who killed the Angel. He looks like he couldn’t hurt a fly. 

His expression was a mix of confusion and disbelief as he studied Shinji.

Shadow : He remind me of Maria. 

His voice was quieter with a tone of sadness, remembering all his memories with her. 

Sonic grabs his left shoulder seeing his friend's expression of sadness.*

Sonic : Hey buddy, you're alright. 

Shadow shrugged.                          

Shadow : Yeah, I'm fine.

Sonic grinned widely.                       

Sonic : I can't wait to return to Mobius!                                                     

Shadow glanced away, his face unreadable.                                      

Shadow : I'm staying here….                  

His voice was softer, almost distant.

Sonic raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised.

Sonic : Really? Why?                              

He paused, his usual confidence faltering.

Shadow sighed, his expression tinged with sadness.                                          

Shadow : It's been two years since I died. I don't want to shock anyone. I need time for myself.                                                    

His words hung in the air, the weight of them unspoken but was understood by his close friend.

Sonic : Then I understand your choice buddy.                                                     

He leaves a thumb up, he smiles widely to Shadow. 

Meanwhile, in a Decepticon base deep in a snow-covered mountain region of Russia. 

Megatron who was sitting on his throne. Beside him stood his two most loyal Decepticons, Soundwave and Tarn with their arms crossed behind their back.  Megatron was waiting for Slipstream to come through the space bridge. He sent her on a reconnaissance mission in Tokyo-3.  Shockwave, stationed at the helm of the space bridge, raised a lever, activating the device with a mechanical hum. The blue-green portal appears and Slipstream emerges from it.  Slipstream bowed at the sight of Megatron. She raises her head looking at Megatron. 

Slipstream : My master, I've come here to tell you that the humans have finished building their strongest weapon, they called it the Evangelion. 

Megatron in his throne. Responds with an interesting tone. 

Megatron : Tell me more about–

Before Megatron could utter another word, he got cut by Starscream, commander of the seekers.

Starscream : You see Megatron I was right. We should have continued what I did ten years ago but no because of your ignorance and arrogance you let them continue with this project. Now they have a way to stop us because of you.

All the decepticons were shocked by Starscream's words, how dare he say that to their leader Megatron. Soundwave and Tarn were clenching their fists in fury. Tarn was about to rush toward Starscream so he could punch him but Megatron stopped him by raising his hand. 

Sixshot was watching the discussion further away. He transforms into his star fighter mode, a Cybertronian jet. He flew toward the seeker. He transforms back to his robot mode and lands in front of Starscream. The seeker commander shaked at little bit as Sixshot was in front of him and he had to: the cybertronian in front of him was twice his size, and he achieved feats that no other decepticon could easily boast.

Sixshot : Ah yes, let's continue what you did ten years ago by sending our troops to their deaths. I must remind that you are the reason that we cannot go on Cybertron anymore and that we've lost Bruticus. You decided to go on a solo mission with our best soldiers without telling anyone, all on a wild guess.                                     

Sixshot put his finger on Starscream's chest and pushed him lightly.                  

Megatron emerges from his throne and walks slowly towards Starscream.          

Megatron : Thank you. Sixshot. Like he said if you meant by continuing what you did ten years ago by sending our troops to their deaths because of a guess then no. But don't worry I understand your fear, Starcream but with our new ally, this new weapon won't be much of a worry, right doctor? 

His gaze shifted toward the dark corridor, waiting for a response. 

Starscream : Do not tell me that. This is that puny bald human!

He says in an extremely frustrated, angry tone.

A foot leaves the dark corner. A large, obese human emerges from the shadows,  his gloved hands rest confidently. His red coat was shining. His wild mustache twitches, and behind tinted glasses, his sharp eyes gleam with confidence.

??? : That same puny bald human, has a Iq of 300, I'm the smartest scientist on this planet and unlike you I succeeded at conquering the world even if it was short-lived and it was only 99% of the world. So watch your mouth, Starscream. 

Megatron : Doctor Ivo Robotnik, the leader of the Eggman Empire. And the creator of Metal Sonic and Sage. I hope you will work well with my scientist Shockwave. 

Shockwave : Affirmative, my lord. The collaboration has already started. It is the most logical course of action.

Dr Eggman : Thank you for the compliment, my Cybertronian friends. I hope this collaboration lasts. 

Megatron : I hope so.                                                                     

He genuflects and extends his hand towards the doctor to shake his hand. 

Dr. Eggman shakes the Cybertronian's hand, both grinning in satisfaction.

Megatron : I help you defeat Sonic and you help me defeat the autobots. Is that clear doctor? 

Dr. Eggman nodded his head in agreement. 

Dr. Eggman : Crisp and Clear. Megatron.

Chapter Text

In Tokyo-3 who was in ruins after the damage that the third angel had done. Drift speed though his vehicle mode in the city while Fred was gripping his hold tightly. He rolls in search of other autobots and members of the alliance. He drove through Tokyo-3 for 20 minutes until Fred saw someone on the road. It was hard to see what the person looked like, given that it was night. He starts tapping Drift's hood. To warn him that there's someone on the road before he runs him over and he warns him again. 

Fred : Dude there is someone on the road. Brakes now!

Drift started barking after Fred asked him to put on his brakes at the sight of the person. The cameraman sighs in relief as his friend brakes at the right moment. 

Fred : I can’t believe we almost ran over someone.

The cybertronian in frustration told the unknown person. Who was barely visible because of the darkness.

Drift : Next time learn to look at the road. Before trying to cross it.

Out of nowhere the man replied with a cold, bitter tone. 

??? : I do not take orders from machines…

The cameraman was surprised to hear the man's response to Drift advice. 

Fred : Who do you think you are? Drift turns on the light. I need to see who we are talking to. 

Drift activates his headlights. It reveals a middle aged man who has pale white skin, his hair was white, his eyes were light blue and pale; you could almost believe they were gray, and he wore a black coat with neon blue serpentine patterns. On his coat he has a black scabbard and a katana inside it. Fred was not expecting to see a man like that. The Cybertronian who was shocked as his cameraman friend decided to say to the man. 

Drift : What is a cosplayer doing at Tokyo-3? I hope you realize that the comic con is in two months. It is a little bit early to wear something like that. 

The supposed cosplayer replied with an annoyed tone.  

??? : This isn't cosplay but I'm not surprised that machines with such a primitive mind cannot understand my father's sartorial genius. 

Fred facepalms as he hears the cosplayer words. 

Fred : Whatever you said sir. You cannot stay here, this place isn't safe for you anyway. Look around you. We have brought you to the nearest shelter.

The cameraman shows the multiple destroyed buildings and the devastated landscape in Tokyo-3 .

??? : Why would I walk away from the place where I know I could gain more power? Perhaps if I was a fool but this is far from my nature. 

He says it with a sly smile and an arrogant tone. 

Drift : Get more powers? What on primus you're talking about? 

The cybertronian responded in a confused tone. 

??? : Don't pretend to be ignorant about what I'm talking about Cybertronian! Tell me where are the chaos emeralds and the matrix of leadership now! 

The man growled in frustration at the Cybertronian ignorance. 

Fred : We don't know where are the Chaos Emeralds and-

Before the cameraman could finish his sentence, he was abruptly cut off by Drift. 

Drift : We will never give you the matrix of leadership, only someone worthy in the eyes of primus can wield it anyway. 

The man sighed. 

??? : Then I guess I have to force the answers out of your mouth.

The man holds the tsuka (the lower part of the weapon) of his Katana and removes it from the scabbard. When he removed it, an electric blue aura started appearing around it. He holds his katana with his arms forward in a fighting stance. 

Fred backed off as the man showed his weapon. He activated his jetpack and left the top of Drift. The Cybertronian transformed into his robot mode, multiple panels shifted with precision, his hands extended and forming and his head emerged with a loud clunk. From his two hips scabbard he took his two swords. He points his left sword at the man in a duel. 

Drift : You want a fight, let's bring it on!

The man smirked. He is going to enjoy this fight. He said to the Cybertronian with a lot of confidence. 

Vergil : I hope you're prepared to face my might. 

Then the man disappeared leaving an electric aura for a few seconds around the ground.

Both robots were confused at seeing this.

Fred : Where the fuck did he go?

The cameraman scratched his neck in confusion.

Drift : Stay behind me Fred. That guy is probably tougher than-

Out of nowhere Drift could see the same man from earlier propelling himself towards him, holding his katana aloft, ready to attack. The cybertronian crosses his two blades in an x shape to protect itself from the clash of the katana and bracing from the impact.

When the three weapons clashed together a huge shockwave was created, sending back the cybertronian off the ground, he slammed his swords on the ground leaving cracks in the floor breaking his fall. His landing was bad but he controlled it. 

When he lifted his head to see where the man was. He saw him in front of him, it seemed like the man was waiting for him to stand up. On his face he had an impatient look. His katana was put away in his scabbard but he had his hand on the tsuka, a sign that he could take it out at any time and he was ready for any attacks that Drift prepared. 

Vergil : Are you going to stand up, yes or no? Don't waste my time cybertronian. 

He said in a neutral tone. 

Drift stood up, he had a smile of determination. His metallic form was much larger than the man, but the stranger was not impressed by the cybertronian. Without any warning Drift swung his two Swords at the man in hope of hitting him but he blocked all of his attacks with his katana with ease. 

The individual gave a disappointed look.

??? : Seriously a sneak attack. I’ve expected far better from a cybertronian like you Drift.

Drift gave a confused look. How this man could've known his name. 

Drift : Who told you my name? 

The cybertronian shrugged but he added. 

Drift : But it doesn't matter. You die by my sword today. 

The cybertronian swung his swords once again at the man but he was aiming at his face but in the blink of a eyes his left sword was caught by his left hand now covered in a black gauntlet there was glowing white light veins through it and the gauntlet also resembles like a wolf head. His right sword was stopped by his katana. 

We could see a different expression on each adversary's faces. The stranger's face was calm and cold showing that he was barely trying, for him Drift was just an insect in his way. He could have ended his life right there but he wanted to see the full potential of the cybertronian. While Drift was clenching his mechanical teeths in struggle. His arms were shaking as he tried to use all of his strength against his opponent but it was no use. The stranger was just that strong, the last time that he fought someone like that was when he fought Bruticus and Sixshot. 

Before Drift could react. The swordsman suddenly punched the cybertronian face with his gauntlet on. Blue energon splatter on Drift's face, his nose broke and energon running down his chin. He's sent hurtling towards a car. When he crashed into the vehicle. The windows broke, shards of glass fell on the ground. The sound of crashing metal and the shock activated the vehicle's arlam. The sound of the alarm was awful. This alarm repeats itself over and over again.  The cybertronian was breathing heavily, he looked at his adversary, his optics were filled with determination. He won't let this man get away and he stated. 

Drift : I don't care what you are. You won't leave Tokyo-3 without you telling me who you are-

Before he could continue his sentence. He suddenly fainted from the punch. Fred, who was literally in the middle of the scene, looked at the swordsman with fury. He clenched his fist and his head camera was shaking. 

Fred : You will taste my own and only fist I've got left. For hurting my friend you bastard! 

He growled, slamming his fist through the air in a defiant pump.

Vergil : I won't waste my time with a weakling like you. Look at you-

He points his katana at Fred's missing hand. 

Vergil : You're weak and injured. There will be no honor in fighting a machine like you. 

The cameraman replie.

Fred : I don’t care of my current state. I will defeat you no matter what!

He activates his jetpack, and both of his reactors light up with an orange glow.

The swordsman sighs in disappointment. He didn’t expect the cameraman to be that foolish to even try to attack him but whatever now he is another insect in his way. Because he doesn't want to waste his energy on a weakling like him. He sheathed his katana, and in the blink of an eye, his gauntlets vanished.

Fred prepares to launch a devastating punch with his only fist left at the adversary's face. But the man dodged the blow with ease by turning to the right. Fred tries to launch another blow but the stranger ducks the punch once again. That man was fast, very fast he didn't know how but one thing was sure, is that man wasn’t human. Maybe he was a robot, a cyborg or even an angel. As an act of desperation he tried to launch a kick but instead of his blow being dodged, it was caught by the man with a tight grip on his feet. Fred gave a look of horror in his camera head even though he didn’t have a face. We could tell that he was terriefied as his lens was trembling. The man once grabbed tightly with a firm grip on his feet and threw the cameraman away against the nearest building. Fred didn’t have the time to activate his jetpack so his landing wouldn’t be that bad but it was too late and he crashed. When he landed inside the building, he gave a look of his surroundings. There was a lot of  debris and glasses around him. It didn't take long for the cameraman to realize that he had crashed into a firearms compartment and in the distance he could see what looked like a crates of weapons lined the walls, and in the distance, nestled among them, something caught his eye: a rocket launcher, sleek and deadly, practically calling his name. 

Fred : Today might be my lucky day.

He stood up and ran toward the rocket launcher and took it. He searched by looking everywhere if there was any missile left in this compartment.

Meanwhile with Drift. The cybertronian was still unconscious and was at the mercy of the man. The swordsman could have ended his life right there but he didn’t do it. There was no point in killing his adversary; he was knocked out. He was far too weak to be a future threat to him.

??? : This is what happens when you mess with the son of Sparda. 

He took his katana from the scabbard. And he slash the air, in an instant space warps around itself, leaving a portal with a shape similar to that of a horizontally expanded star. There was purple smoke in it made it impossible to tell where this unknown man was heading.

As he was about to leave two missiles were heading toward the man at lighting speed. He barely dodged the first one by propelling himself backwards, the second missile flew straight to the man but he managed to cut the missile in half in time but it detonated the explosion on impact, shrouding his face in a thick cloud of smoke. When the smoke started to disappear it revealed that the right side of his face was burnt, muscle tissue was torn as a result of the explosion, and underneath the muscle tissue, bones could be seen. The only limb spared was his eye. But surprisingly the man didn’t scream in pain or horror after that the right side got torn apart but instead he seemed annoyed like it was just a scratch for him, he still kept his stoic and cold demeanor. He looked toward the building when he threw Fred. He knew where he was. 

The cameraman watching the scene from high up in the building was terrified. How could this man be so calm? Half his face was burned. The worst part is that he was out of a missile right now, in this compartment there were only two missiles for the launch rocket and he couldn't leave the building. His jetpack reactors broke after he landed on his back making it impossible to use his jetpack.

Fred : Shit I’m cooked.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

The cameraman started searching in all the surrounding areas if there were any more missiles. But sadly he was right, there were only two missiles left in here. As he turned his back, the swordsman was already there. In the blink of an eye, the right side started to regenarate, his torn flesh starting to stitch itself back together until his features took on their original shape. Fred backed off a little bit from the man after seeing his fast regeneration. He said with a nervous tone. 

Fred : Dude can we talk this out dude. There is no need to use violence dude.                                                                                                                                                                                               

He said this while holding up his hand to show that he had no weapon on him.

The swordsman chuckled.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

??? : Talk this out? Don’t take me like a foul, you strike my face down with a missile you machine. Also I’m not here to destroy you because if I actually wanted to end your life I would’ve done it ages ago. 

Fred : So what do you’re here for?

??? : To deliver a message to your leader's cameraman to show them this is the price for those who dare to obstruct Vergil, the son of Sparda, in his pursuit of greater power.

Fred tries to keep his laugh. The idea that this Vergil thinks he can scare two of the strongest organisations in the world, the NERV and the alliance. 

Fred : Optimus and the Titans will defeat you. And you won’t get your filthy hands on the seven chaos emeralds they are destoryed anyway and the matrix of leadership. We will stop you! Also who the fuck is Sparda?

He facepalmed, rolled his eyes in irritation. How could this machine be this ignorant about the legendary dark knight Sparda. 

Vergil : You always amaze me with your ignorance.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

He said in a sarcastic tone mocking his lack of knowledge about the legendary Sparda.Vergil walks slowly toward him. Fred could feel a terrifying aura around him. His sensors were telling him to run away. Vergil, whatever his name is, isn't human.The cameraman throws a punch with his right hand, but instead of dodging, Vergil grabs Fred's fist at lightning speed, Fred never saw it coming. He whispered in a scared tone.  

Fred : Shit!

In a single movement Vergil twisted and broke his arm. Metallic bones and wires are revealed through his torn clothes. Vergil punched Fred's lens, it broke the lens and easily sent him against the wall leaving gigantic cracks because of the impact.

Vergil : You’re pathetic, I’ve expected far better from you cameraman. Where is your strength and your motivation? 

??? : Right there!

Vergil turned his back to see who called him, it was Drift who woken up from his stasis sleep. With his two swords at hands ready to strike down Vergil but in a blur he blocked it with his left arm quickly and easily. Blood dropped on the ground, leaving blood stains on his sleeve. Vergil didn't flinch at all even though the swords were piercing his flesh. 

The cybertronian was muddled by the lack of reaction of Vergil after he pierced his swords through the man's arm.

Drift : Do you even feel pain? 

He replied. 

Vergil : I do, I’ve just felt worse pain than this.

Out of nowhere, Fred flew toward Vergil, with his reactors roaring with power he grabbed him by the chest in mid motion. Vergil did not expect this move from the machine, not even his comrade Drift couldn’t predict such a random tactic from him. As they flew away from the building, The cybertronian lunged to catch Fred's legs but he was too fast for him, he dodged out of reach in time.

Drift : You moron, what you’re doing!

While they are both flying mid air Vergil struggles to free himself from the iron grip of the cameramen. He punched his camera head multiple times but Fred still kept his iron grip. 

Vergil : You’re starting to annoy me, you machine.

The swordsman states with a cold tone. Suddenly, Vergil free himself from the iron grip of Fred, Vergil arms lights up blinding the cameraman for a moment and as the light fades away it reveals the same gauntlets that he used earlier against Drift.

Fred : What the hell-

Before Fred could understand what is happening, Vergil grabs Fred's left shoulder. He digs the claws of his gauntlet into Fred's left shoulder with force, he also grabs Fred's waist with a firm grip mocking him in place. Without warning and ease, he tears the cameraman in half. His torso separated from his lower body. Black blood dripped onto his torso, sparks burst from the split. On the lower part of his torso we can see a glimpse of his metallic spinal cord.

As Vergil let go Fred, who is now cut in half, his two body parts crashed on the ground with a loud metallic bang, sparks flickering from the exposed circuits from the shock. Vergil lands softly on his feets, his clothes now covered in black blood. He straightened his hair as if he never tore apart Fred in half. Drift, who was still in the building, watched the scene from a distance. He was pissed and his optics were filled with rage, for him Fred was more than an ally, he was his friend . 

The cybertronian jumped out of the building. Standing in front of Vergil. He gave Vergil a serious demeanor showing this time that he would not play around. In his backpack, he took one of his largest swords. The epee was grey on the screed, there was a blue crystal. On the blade was written Cybetronian and the most visible detail on Drift's weapon was the energon that had been drying for millennia. Which showed that this wasn't the first time he'd used it and it won’t be last. 

Vergil : You really want a rematch? After what happened five minutes ago?                                                                                                                                                                                                      

As he smirks to the sigh of the sword.

Drift : I don’t care how strong you are, I can see the future and you will bleed by the great sword wherever you like it or not.

He slid into a battle stance, his eyes locked in Vergil, the great sword humming with energy. Drift’s eyes began to glow a piercing sky-blue, the same light spreading through his torso like a surge of raw energy awakening within him. The markings on his armor lit up one by one, and the air around him crackled with power.

He said calmly with cold confidence.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Vergil : This is starting to get interesting.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

He watches Drift with measured eyes, the faintest smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

In a flash, his gauntlets vanished leaving his sleeves armorless. He added.

Vergil : Show me what you got cybertronian.       

His gauntlets vanish and pull out the yamato. With precision, Vergil draws his katana Yamato, the blade singing as it leaves its sheath. He shifts into his stance, blade poised, his voice low and sharp. 

Vergil : Let’s see if fate favors the machine today.

Both of them run at each other with great speed whi le having each of them have a firm grip on their weapons. Their weapons clashed, it created a gigantic shockwave, windows got broken, cars flew away due to impact. But unlike last time, Drift wasn’t blown away by the shockwave. Instead he stood there menacingly. As the two blades clashed it created spark from it. Drift with all of his strength pushed Vergil it sent flying mid but he quickly recovered his feets. As lifted his head to regain his composure. Drift was in front of him and he was about to lunge his great sword at him with a devastating attack. Luckily he dodged the blow by doing a back somersault. Vergil was thinking in his head ; how could he be so fast.

Drift suddenly transformed into his vehicle mode in the blink of an eye by spinning around horizontally. His sports car speeds towards Vergil, trying to run him over. The swordsman moved out of the way so fast that it seemed he used a teleportation technique. As Drift was about to crash against a wall, He cartwheels backwards, activating his fusion reactors to prevent him from crashing into the wall. Jumping back, he transforms in the blink of an eye, a blue aura materializing around his torso. He lands on his hands. He straightened with the greatsword in his left hand. His blue eyes glowing. Out of nowhere Vergil burst from the side with a flash, rocketing toward Drift with unrelenting speed. He extended his right arm grabbing Vergil by the throat. He gasped, his eyes widened in shock. How could the cybertronian be that quick to catch him. That sword must be the source of his strength. He must destroy it or at least make sure it’s off his hands. Before Vergil could regain his composure, Drift hurled him to the ground, the impact cracking the ground beneath. Vergil was flung into the air like a ragdoll. As Vergil tried to understand where he was. The cybertronian burst out of the ground leaving deep cracks across the surface and swung the great sword at Vergil but he reacted at a blinding speed by intercepting the strike by using the yamato. The clash between the two blades sent sparks flying in every direction. In one movement, he pushed Vergil away against the nearest building, he landed on one of the skyscraper's windows and the other glass windows broke as he landed.

He lashed the great sword in the air aiming at Vergil. It created one of the most powerful shockwaves that had happened in this battle. Vergil burst through the window, dodging the attack by a second, and hit the ground in a perfect landing.  

The swordsman murmured : This attack almost hit me.

In the next instant, The cybertronian landed heavily before Vergil, the ground trembling under his weight and he replied.  

Drift : I wasn't aiming at you. 

He points out at the skyscraper who is falling apart. The building, split in two, collapses on the two protagonists. Several pieces of debris also fall. Drift lunged, grabbed Vergil by the head, and hurled him upward. Before the building could crash on Vergil, he kicked Drift's face, freeing him from his grip in the process. He put the yamato on the scabbard. He takes it out immediately, but not completely, and in an instant. A blue and black distortion starts to materialize instantly; multiple cuts appear around the skyscraper, while a razor-thin line traced itself across the ground, homing in on the target with deadly precision. The building that was about to collapse on him is now dust after being cut into several pieces by Vergil's attack. As Drift was once again about to strike his blade at Vergil, he felt an immense pain in his chest, he put himself on his knees stabbing the great sword on the ground. His arms were trembling in pain. He started coughing, energon came out of his mouth and his eyes widened in realization at what he saw. He mumbled. 

Drift : Damnit, it already started. I thought I could last longer but I guess creating this huge shockwave sped up the process. 

Vergil replied with a calm, slightly mocking tone and a cold stare. 

Vergil : This is why you didn't use this sword earlier? It saddens me that you must sacrifice your life force just to reach half my strength. 

Drift : I don't need your pity. 

The Cybertronian got up, legs shaking. He grabbed his greatsword, gave it a few quick swings, then dropped into a battle stance, ready to go again. He rushed with swift motion at Vergil pointing his sword at his face, the man dodging the blow. I mean barely, it hit a part of his left cheek leaving a superficial cut. 

Vergil : Pitiful.  

He mumbled under his breath. He stepped in. With a single move, he sliced through Drift’s left arm, the one gripping the greatsword. The severed arm clattered to the ground, still clutching the heavy blade. Energon sprayed from the wound, splattering the cracked pavement as Drift stumbled back, eyes wide with shock. Drift clenched his teeths in pain, his eyes were locked in Vergil with determination. Vergil drew closer to Drift. He said. 

Vergil : Like I said to your cameraman friend, deliver this to your leader tell them this is what happens for those who dare to obstruct Vergil, in his pursuit of greater power. But do you want to see something funny? 

Drift replied with a tone of confusion.                                          ,                                        

Drift : What? 

He put his hand on his pocket, revealing a purple emerald. Precisely a chaos emerald. Drift stumbled back in disbelief. How could that man find a chaos emerald? They were supposed to be destroyed with Shadow too when he sacrificed himself against Mephiles. How is that possible, before he could ask more questions to Vergil. The man yelled. 

Vergil : Chaos control! 

Then he disappears without leaving a trace. 

Drift : Primus, the others are not going to believe what I just saw today. 

A familiar voice that Drift knew replied.  

??? :   Yeah I know. 

Drift turned his back to the voice. When he saw who it was. His eyes widened in relief. It was Fred who was crawling toward because he had been split in two by Vergil. He added

Fred : Also, the others are coming to pick us up. I called them. 

Drift : That good to hear. How does it feel to have a part of you missing? 

Fred : Bad but I mean look at you. You also have a part of you missing. 

He pointed to the missing left arm of Drift.

Black smoke began to materialize in front of the duo, As the haze thickened, slowly fading away, revealing five figures, the first one was a large tvman he wore a black a suit with a purple tie and his tv head was attached to his main body by a thin metal pipe it was Polycephaly. Next to him was a cybertronian, who has a white robot form with red-orange accents, reflecting his ambulance alternate mode. His name was Ratchet, the medical officer of the autobots. The last three figures were a medic cameraman, a unit of cameramen who has a utility repair device on their right arm. Their sole purpose is healing wounded cameramen in the battle (they can also heal cybertronian). The group rushed toward them. The first to be here was Polychephaly.

Ratchet covered his mouth in shock as he saw that the left arm of his partner Drift was ripped off.

Ratchet : Primus, the bot who did that to you was a savage.

He gently placed a hand on Drift’s cheek, concern etched across his face.

Fred : Uh Ratchet, I know you don’t want me to ruin your moment with your boyfriend. But can you tell the medic cameramen to take my lower body part who is literally right there!                             

Fred points out his lower body, which is the ground leaking sparks.

Ratchet lowered his head to look at Fred. He replied.                                                                 

Ratchet :  Excuse me Fred, you’re right we don’t have the time for this. You need urgent medical treatment now. 

He took out his tablet analyzing the seriousness of Fred's injuries, although some are a little obvious. One of the medic cameraman rushed to Fred. He knelt down to Fred’s level, aiming his repair device at the damaged torso. Sparks flew from the torn circuits, but it quickly stabilized them.

Even though Polychephaly didn’t have eyes to show his shock. We could tell that it was by the way his body froze. Ratchet blue optics widened in raw fears.

Ratchet : How is that even possible? 

Meanwhile on the underground base of the Decepticon in Russia.

Shockwave stood in his lab, his only eye fixed on the cryo-stasis capsule before him. Inside, suspended in cold mist, was a metallic, anthropomorphic blue hedgehog. With calculated precision, he tapped a sequence of commands into the control panel, configuring the system and stabilizing the subject’s vitals.

Shockwave : Metal Sonic is stabilized for now. He survives the experimental treatment for now. The CNA insertion process aka Cyber Nucleic Acid is now complete. Just the insertion of dark energon is missing.

Behind him two figures were there too. Their eyes were locked at the capsule. One of them was a little girl with red glowing eyes, pale skin, white hair, and a black cloak, her presence was silent as she floated. The second figure was a blue Sonic-shaped robot, with red shoes, metal quills, an orange visor and his arms were crossed waiting. Those two were the most powerful creations of Dr.Eggman, Mecha Sonic and Sage.

Mecha Sonic : So what are you doing with Metal? 

Shockwave raises his arm and clenches his fist. He replied.

Shockwave : Is simple my dear friends, I’m making your brother stronger, smarter and faster than he already is. I'm inserting into his code our abilities. Skywarp teleportation, Soundwave telepathy, Tarn vocal ability and last but not least Sixshot abilities to transform into six alternate modes. 

Sage : Is quite a fascinating process, Shockwave. 

Mecha Sonic : Is it done now? 

Shockwave : Yes it is complete, the only step missing is the insertion of the dark energon into Metal Sonic body. 

As he finished his sentence, he pressed a button on the control panel. The capsule flooded with dark energon, until Metal Sonic was nearly obscured from view and on Metal Sonic mind, he started to remember, about everything as the dark energon entered into his body. The day of his creation, his first encounters with Sonic and Amy Rose, the time when he impersonates Dr.Eggman identity where he almost conquered the world but no matter how strong he was. Sonic and his friends always defeated him. Sonic , always him, his nemesis, his rival, his inferior copy. He was the true Sonic, superior to him, he wasn't a pile of flesh and bone but was it actually Sonic or just thought created from his twisted delusions. Increased by his megalomania. The thought of Sonic angered him, the last straw was the aftermath of his defeat against Sonic in the final fortress. He remembered Sonic words like it was yesterday : Anytime you want a rematch, just let me know. I'll be waiting!. His words ran through his head several times. This sudden activity on Metal Sonic mind triggered alarms across all vital systems. 

Shockwave : Illogical this can't be happening.

Sage : What is happening? 

Shockwave replie. 

Shockwave : He has woken up. 

Mecha Sonic : I thought he was supposed to be dormant during the process. 

Shockwave : Yes, I shut him down. Yet, in complete defiance of logic, Metal Sonic reactivated himself.

He backed off away from the control panel. Metal Sonic's orange eyes began to turn blood-red eyes with a small shade of purple. Unexpectedly with his right hand he started to punch the glass leaving a gigantic crack on the capsule but it wasn't strong enough to completely shatter the glass. To everyone's surprise Metal Sonic formed a mouth on his face, revealing metallic sharp teeths around his mouth, he screamed one word. 

Metal Sonic : Sonic!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Bubbles formed as he shouted in his cold metallic voice. Mecha Sonic and Sage stepped away from the capsule in fright. Sonic will pay for what he did. He is going to show that he is the superior hedgehog to Sonic. Shockwave looks at Metal Sonic with curiosity. He places his hand on the capsule with fascination. 

Shockwave : He is ready.
