Summary
For as long as they've known each other, since that first day Mateo laid eyes on Zhao Yu, a certain connection had been established. Since that first day, at every opportunity given, every passing moment, Mateo had spent countless instances learning all there is about Zhao Yu, far beyond just his likes and dislikes.
As time went on, their bond grew considerably, to the point that they could agree that they were friends- close friends, possibly even closer than Mateo was with Tala. Shared commitment has shaped them, birthing a feeling as beautiful as rain falling from the sky at sunset. It was unspoken feeling, one neither of them felt comfortable enough to talk about but embraced it in secret.
They kept this secret close to their hearts, guarding it at all costs. In all the time they've come to know each other, neither of them has acted on this feeling, but the actions speak louder than the words they refuse to say. Nevertheless, perhaps it is time for them to release the shackles that confine this emotion and be honest with each other.
