"I asked you a question, Lucanis. Are you coming or are you just going to stare?" She teased, her voice smooth and commanding as it echoes through the dimly lit kitchen."It's late. You should be resting." He trembles as he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. It was all he could think to say as he avoided her eyes. She shouldn't be here. Not with him, not vulnerable like this. Spite's hunger rises within him, mingling with his own desire in intoxicating ways.
"So should you," She grinned playfully before leaning down, bringing her face closer to his. His blood ran cold as he cold feel her breath on his ear. "But, I didn't ask for advice, I asked you a question." She hesitated for an excruciating moment, allowing her warmth to wash over him. As she pulled away, she lifted the sheathed dagger to his throat, before using it tilt his chin, forcing him to look at her.
