The man lets out a sudden shuddering gasp, blade sliding off of Bichen as he folds forward, clutching at his chest. Instantly Lan Wangji snaps out of whatever fugue state the sight of the man’s beauty threw him into and leans forward, searching the stranger for whatever injury is causing the problem. He can’t see anything obvious on the stranger’s torso but the lighting talisman isn’t that strong and the man’s shirt is black and black can hide a lot of blood.
“Are you okay?” Lan Wangji asks and at almost the same time the stranger says “Lan Zhan please. My son...”
